Was kept waiting for drinks. Food was served late. Other people who came after us were already eating before us. Waitress was serving other people and ignored us and had a bad attitude. Made reservation for Birthday and it was totally ignored at dinner.
The view is incredible! Nice place if you want a quiet time with friends and loved ones.
Very good lobster and Salmon - too much light and had a lot of reflection. Overall I would come back and sit outside

Parking is convince , view, food and service are good. but two hour for eating and talking with friend are not enough.
Nice view but our table was next to a banquet room that was very noisy..steaks were undercooked and waiter was nice but too slow and forgot our bread twice
Had a wonderful meal and excellent service! The server was friendly and courteous. We received our drinks and food in a nice order and did not feel rushed, which to me is something that is lacking in a lot of restaurants. They don’t let you enjoy your meal and make you feel rushed. Will definitely return in the future.
I'd made reservations for 6:30pm. Tell why, when I get there the restaurant it was close. It shouldn't have let me make reservations if the restaurant is close.
Food was mediocre and the food station weren't kept up most of the food was cold. The price was ridiculous for the experience felt robbed. Best part was the view everything else HORRIBLE SMDH. My boyfriend first time and he was ready to go soon as he realized not enough options for the food and also the way the stations look not to clean around the areas so this will be the last time unless improvements are done.

The Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Reef was the best buffet we have ever experienced! The variety was abundant, the quality was excellent and the staff was warm & friendly!
We loved the ambiance of The Reef. Very cozy and great views of Long Beach. We had a limited menu for Valentines weekend and would of liked to have access to the regular menu. We were very happy with our food and service was very good as well. I hope to return soon.
Requested a table with view and was sat in an area that looked like a hall with basic table .. the wait for my reservation was still 30 min wait . . Not to forget they completely forgot to bring out my
Food after I waited for an hour and the restaurant was closed already it was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant will not be going back such a waste of $200 and not to mention worst Valentine’s Day . Will not recommend to anyone.. not at all

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the intimate setting which included the ocean view. I will definitely return as a regular customer.
It definitely looks nicer online. I went for Valentines dinner and it was not nice at all. I thought the restaurant overlooked the water but it’s actually across the street from the water. Also they have areas closed off for special events so you’re not even allowed to look at the water or be in the area where the so called “ambiance” is. The food was mediocre. Served on two different colored plates which I thought looked trashy. The cutlery was old.

Nothing special
Entrees came before salad and appetizer. Lobster over cooked, mash potatoes watery. Service was unorganized. Not a pleasant experience for Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife 😣

Augie was our waiter and he made our brunch so much fun! We will definitely be back and requesting to sit with Augie again. He is a true asset to this restaurant. The food is good, not excellent, but Augie's fun attitude and personal attention will keep us coming back again and again.

Stunning view especially from the 3rd level. Amazing service from Augie. He is the BEST!!!! Highly entertaining and great experience. Give that man a Raise! His "Customer Connection" is above board. We had such a great time we made reservation for this coming Sunday too and desperately want to be seated in Augie's section again. The food selection is great. Something for everyone. A very important point is the AC was blasting and it was so cold that my food was cold within moments of sitting down with my plate. Please be aware it is still WINTER.

Please bring back the pasta bar? And French toast please not French toast sticks. Food wasn’t as fresh and ready like it use to be. Use to be worth the price not anymore.
Very disappointed. I used to absolutely love the reef. They have changed it SO much. Less variety, longer wait times, understaffed and mediocre food. I doubt I will return now. It used to be awesome. Not worth the money anymore.

great buffet. food was excellent, service great, view out of this world. Loved the crabs ans salmon eggs Benedict.
Sat in the bar area, & ordered off the dineLA MENU. our waiter/bartender was Manning all stations probably due to the fact that there was a big party happening in the private room & all the staff were helping with that party. Despite all of that our waiter was very apologetic & we completely understood. The bill came out at the end, but the prices were not correct. Seemed like he didn't know the dineLA set menu prices & charges for items that we DID order but didn't bring out. It got resolved with no problem but feel like the restaurant should keep all of there staff abreast of the set menus or any special changes
We found The Reef during Dine LA and glad that we did. Long Beach was the halfway meeting point with a friend. We just picked it because it was open for lunch. We didn't know we would get a view of Long Beach, across the water, and great food and service! We plan to meet here more often. I really want to try their brunch!
The views of the Long Beach sky line are great. Happy Hour is very nice there.
The service in the dining room is not very professional. The waiters/waitress sloppily dressed.
They are not very attentive.

The food wasn't great to be charged $60 a person. They were loud people that didn't know how to act in a public place.

Our server Ruben was thee best !!
After checking in, we got seated after 5-10 minutes
Waitress took our orders promptly
Provided us with complementary bread followed by appetizers
All the appetizers came except for the 3 clam chowders
Took more or less an hour before the entrees came in
They still haven’t realized they never served us our clam chowders until we asked when the entrees came (there were no waiters around to ask earlier)
They had some mix up with our orders. One kid asked for fruits with her fish, she got fries instead
Desserts were good
Ambience is great
Food is great
May or may not come back due to the long wait for the food, the almost forgotten soup, and the food mix up considering this is an expensive restaurant

Service was slow and lacking.
First, I had to ask a several times for water to different people. Both when we first got there as well as for refills.
Second, my father in law ordered a side of rice with his meal. It never came. I can tell he was disappointed but he is not one to speak up about it.
Third, we got dessert (which took a very long time to come out) and there was no candle or anything for my mother in law’s birthday, which I had noted in the reservation.
Forth, I was given the wrong bill and charged for it because I had quickly given my card at the same time we received the bill due to our party getting restless. When I notified the waitress, she refunded and recharged the correct amount which increased out wait time longer.
Lastly, I asked the waitress why there was nothing for my mother-in-law’s birthday and she claimed she didn’t know. So instead of comping the dessert we already had, she came with free extra dessert to go since we were leaving (which we didn’t want).
Overall, very disappointing experience and worst I’ve ever had at this place. Also poorly handled way of making up for it. I expect much better from a $250 meal.
The views from this restaurant are beautiful. The green sauce that they serve with the bread is extremely delicious. I would love to be able to buy that sauce. Both the salad and seafood tasted fresh. I had a party of 7 and our order was placed and served in an exceptional amount of time, without us feeling rushed. I will definitely be back.
Slow service. Waitress seemed annoyed to serve us the entire time. I usually don't write reviews but felt this one deserved a poor review.
