Excellent dinner. Great service. Took the family there for my wife's birthday. Got a window seat on a Friday night
The views were spectacular and food was delicious. Not sure how I felt about spending that much to cook my own dinner and serve my own food but the view made it better.

Great sunset with dinner. Valet damage to vehicle that we didn’t notice until we got back to room.
Beautiful setting, food is good, however over priced especially for grilling your own meal. Would really like to see a salad bar only option which was offered when it was shorebird. Service was not the greatest, but server was friendly never the less. We enjoyed our meal and our visit to oahu is not complete without a stop here.
I miss Shore Birds. So much better and the price was great back then.

Had lunch here before and it was great! Dinner however was extremely overpriced for what it is. My ahi was not good (I didn’t even finish it) and the waiter was extremely polite but he never came back to our table really at all once our order was placed. I was going to order another drink but never got the chance. Many empty tables so I’m not sure what the deal was. Very disappointed.
Slow service on arrival, no hostess for a few minutes and patrons lined up. Slow waiter service after arrival at table. Had buffet which lacked replenishment of bacon and pineapple at times. Not what the Shorebird used to offer at much less cost, which also included and turkey and ham carving station. Great location by the beach but not what it used to be like in better times under the Shorebird name.
As usual the Reef was excellent. Great food. Unmatched beachfront view. Also great service and drinks. Prices are a little on the high side ,, but I am willing to pay
Went there for Valentines Day. My wife got shrimp kabobs and I got the Valentines Day $95 price fix dinner which was Champagne and chocolate strawberries, salad bar, 8 0z filllet and lobster tail and chocolate cake. All was mediocre. Salad bar is underwhelming with not much on it. All of the entree seemed to have no seasoning and were very bland. Didn't even gett melted butter for the lobster. The waitress told us to use the sauces at the end of the salad bar, but they couldn't make up for the unseasoned, bland food. The price fix menu included no sides with the main course either. The chocolate cakes was thin and flat and covered with some sort of strawberry compote. My wife wouldn't even eat it, but at least it was heart shaped.
Our waitress was very friendly, but they seemed understaffed. Dinner was incredibly slow and took over 2 hours. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us the hotel discount when we mentioned how bland the food was.
On the upside, there was an incredible ocean view. But overall it was disappointing.
Great views of ocean and Diamond Head. Can be noisy but upbeat atmosphere. Steak and veggies were high quality and well cooked. My daughter had the spare ribs and they were delicious - the best she has ever had.
The food was terrible I had these Ahi ke and it tasted like frozen robber I would never eat there again the price was outrageous the only positive thing was the view and that was awesome I wish it was the old place and that was much better I specially like the 395 my ties now that 12 bucks and they’re horrible I would not recommend this. For sure Bird was the one I like

Great selection of locally grown food and wonderful seating beach side. Unique experience to choose and cook your own selection. Great salad bar, excellent service. Gluten free menu is best in Waikiki.

We go once a month. We try to go around 5:00 it’s not as busy plenty of food at the salad bar. Lots of one on one time with the master grill chef. We love it.
NYE dinner at The Reef Bar and Market Grill would be the most underwhelming dining experience I have ever had. Booked online from Australia to ensure we could get in for NYE. On arrival in Honolulu went to the restaurant to confirm that booking all ok. Also requested if we could have a table by the windows. Was told that the restaurant was fully booked and could not guarantee anything. On arrival for our 8.45p.m. booking we were greeted at the restaurant entrance with "Would you like a table for 2?" Thought the place was booked out and it was definitely not. Quite empty in fact. We advised we had a booking and were taken to our table. Asked if we could be moved to a window table - again told going to be very busy - sorry. What a load of rubbish. Waiter was Nick who did what waiters do. He brought us a glass of champagne each to which we advised that neither of us drank alcohol and he asked what we would like instead. Ordered orange juice and ginger beer, to only find out we were charged for them. You've got to be kidding me. Next big disappointment was the "decadent" salad bar. Oh dear! What a sad looking set up it was. Nothing decadent about it and a lot of the bowls of salad were spilled on the bench. There are so many beautiful and tasty salad ideas that both of us were lost of words with the advertised "decadent" salad bar. Main meal was OK. I had the beef and my daughter had the vegetarian meal. Next comes dessert - or what was advertised as dessert. Again a sad offering. Finally, bill time. Nick brings the account and it was over $US200.00 which equated to over $AUS300.00 and the account had suggested gratuity ideas. The first one was 18% which amounted to nearly $US40.00 which would be over $AUS60.00. I don't think so. Needless to say there was no tipping as we were both very disappointed with the whole dining experience. Also, there was no NYE decor in the restaurant. BIG missed opportunity by those in the marketing department.
