The Red Mill Inn
Nice neIghborhood spot. Unpretentious and not gourmet but great service and good Italian comfort food. Pleasant staff who deliver great customer service. And reasonable prices for generous portions. Finally, they make an excellent Old Fashioned!
My spouse and I will definitely be back!
Beyond delicious! My friends were still talking about how great the sauce was the day after eating there. Unique and yummy! Definitely going back!
Everything was amazing. We stopoed here on a whim on our honeymoon. My husband is a pizza snob and loved every bite. Their chicken parm was outstanding. Sasha was very busy all night but was able to keep up and meet the demands of each table
Prime rib Saturday delicious and a great value
Very friendly staff and the ambiance takes you back to earlier years.
Drinks at the bar were very good. We had pizza which was good but the crust could have been a bit more done.
food is very good if you don't care about the décor.
We went on a Thursday. That is the night they have lasagna as the special. It was amazing. Can't wait to go back again (and it's 40 miles from our house, but well worth the drive).
Great food and service. Went on a Saturday evening with reservations and it took almost 20 minutes to be seated. Appeared to be short staffed that evening but the food and drinks made up for it. Great value. Have been going there for years and will continue to do so
Wow the Italian prime rib is exceptional
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and portion size of the dinners. Everything tasted amazing. Staff was very friendly.
Had dinner with some friends. Place was understaffed and the two servers were working hard to cover the entire restaurant. Took some time to get seated and have our server come by. However when they did our service was good. Kudos on managing a tough situation.
Mozzarella appetizer was great. Flat round pieces instead of logs of mozzarella was a nice change. Tomato sauce is sweetish which we really liked.
My wife had the mushroom ravioli and loved it. Again a sweetish sauce with large mushroom filled ravioli. Half went home as the portion was large. I had the chicken Parmesan which was flavorful and more importantly not over cooked and dry. Our friends had the garlic pasta with shrimp and they said it was quite good.
The place has three different seating options. Bar, high top tables near bar, and two back rooms with normal seating. Place as an “up north” feel with all of the wood, which unfortunately makes it a bit noisy when full.
As mentioned above they were understaffed but our appetizers, salad, and main courses came out in an orderly fashion with right timing. We sat and chatted for a while after we were done and no one minded. I liked that - the rush was over and we were not keeping anyone waiting. I’m too many places they want you out right away.
Nice neighborhood establishment. Good pasta and pizza. The manager Phil took good care of us
First time here and not sure if we will return. Cesar salad came loaded with little black olive pieces (not mentioned on menu) which my husband liked but I hated. Prime rib special came with a nice piece of meat but the "Chef's choice potato" wound up being a big pile of gummy rice with mushrooms that tasted like it had been sitting all day and the pile of asparagus had been charred - not a taste I like in my veggies. Then I had to ask for the garlic bread mentioned on the menu as I otherwise could only eat the meat. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs which was OK but he only got a skinny piece of what looked like packaged bread, also scorched. As we were paying, someone stopped and asked us how everything was. I related our issues and was told they could have gotten me another kind of potato (which the waitress never mentioned when I asked her about the so-called risotto) and they could do a vegetable without charring. Don't know if we will trust that offer so we may not try again.
Love the pizza and beer
This was a great find. We were looking for a new place to eat and were so happy 'Google ' lead us here. There was live entertainment. A jazz group that was terrific. We stayed after eating our delicious pizza to enjoy the music. The pizza was exceptional. Thin crust and tasty toppings. Even had gluten free. We will return.
tasty food, but overly salted and laden with butter.
Amazing food and service!!
We had reservations for Mother's Day lunch. They are usually closed on Sundays, but were open with a limited menu. The food was very good, and we all left with a take out box for another meal. I'd recommend this neighborhood gem to anyone.
The pizza was awesome!! The food and the staff was just great!!
Went their with a couple of friends for Pizza. Our friends hadn’t been their since the new ownership. They said that they will definitely be back.
Great walleye fry and awesome pickle pepperoni pizza!
Pizza was great. Love the home atmosphere
Great food, great service! Will definitely be back to this hidden gem!
We were frozen because of a lack of heat. It cooled the food really fast. I couldn't believe how good a sausage and extra sauce pizza was. Good wine and peaceful serene room. No heat was disturbing.
The thin crust pizza was excellent with fresh toppings.
Pizza is very, very good. Nice thin crust cooked to perfection with generous toppings. We will definitely be back!
Very good cracker thin crust pizza, light on toppings to keep the crust crisp. Garlic bread has to be tried. Buttery yet light. Caesar salad great. Historic building with lots of charm. Will be returning to try the pasta.
Cute little restaurant. Unfortunately the meal we had, which was the daily ravioli, was almost inedible. It was a butternut squash ravioli and when I asked what type of sauce the server just said it was a butternut squash sauce. Turns out it was alfredo-based and very heavy. If I had known that I would not have ordered it. Also, there was almost a cup of sauce in my bowl and the flavor of the ravioli was lost. Very unappetizing. Should have stuck to pizza or something simple.
Great food and service. We always enjoy our time there.
Sat at the bar and enjoyed a very good salad and thin crust pizza. Would return for the pizza as I really like the cracker thin crust. Toppings were generous. Good service.
Excellent pizza and garlic bread. Highly recommend.
Only my daughter and I would order a fish dry at a pizza place, but shoot was it good! The batter was airy and crispy, the cod was firm, cooked to perfection and not fishy in the slightest. I really enjoyed the potato pancakes and my daughter loved the fries. My husband had both the clay chowder as well as our favorite pizza combo - pepperoni and pepperoncini. Also did not disappoint. Our server was a bit forgetful and frazzled but managed to get thru it. There maybe an issue with the dishwasher as this was the 2nd time we were presented with dirty plates and had to send them back...so just take a peek at them before you dish out your meals. Red Mill is our favorite pizza and now fish fry spot.
Best pizza I’ve ever eaten!
Margherita pizza was delicious. Crust was homemade and thin and crisp, just the way I like it. Garlic bread was outstanding as well, and the marinara was flavorful. We will definitely be back.
We ordered garlic bread, fired mozzarella and a large cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion pizza. Out of this world delicious. Our server was on her game. I think my family may have found our new favorite pizza place!
The Pizza was great and service was very attentive
Nice friendly people and great food!
Very clean and service was great. We’ll be back!
Always good at the Red Mill Inn and we love the historical feeling and the building - very nice and friendly atmosphere too.
Service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Food was OK. A number of us ordered lasagna. It looked like a pile of noodles covered in massive amounts of sauce. Temperature of food was luke warm but we didn't want it heated up any more as noodles already were over cooked.
