Food was good, had soup and prawns for starters and chicken salad and for mains. Overall, quality of food and ambience were great. Would definitely come back here.

Great food and good service. They could use 1 more service person on busy nights but competent service staff nonetheless. But the food is lovely And the staff that is there is very conscientious of food allergies etc.

Crab fishcakes were a let down, but other dishes looked good!

Great location. Food good. Service very slow which was difficult for a lunch and we ended up rushing and skipping desserts

Once again food and service was excellent. The restaurant was a little cold so may time to light that beautiful fire :-)

Like the pub but to make it a regular choice would need to improve vegetarian choices and change choices per season or at least four times in a year. Otherwise nice.

Not as good as my previous visit. My companion chose venison which was so tough he could not eat any of, no apology and no refund offered. The deserts of "orange bombe" were superb.. This will not stop me returning as I think it is a good find even taking into account the £40 return taxi fare.

We had a lovely lunch on Monday. My sister and her husband, both disabled and in wheelchair were well looked after by the very friendly and attentive staff. Will certainly return if just for the great staff.

Although my husband has ate here many times after golf and been more than happy,on this occasion when we were dining with family members,it was disappointing. The service was intermittent despite not being busy.
One member of our party had over cooked fish and chips and my husband's lamb had to be sent back to be hot.
Management were told and £4 was deducted from his main. All in all a decidedly average meal out.

Love the menu, lots of comfort food options and the prices are very reasonable. Will come back many times.

Very good local option

My husband and I have been going here for years. For a couples dinner, with the children and large groups. On this occasion we took a couple of our friends to the restaurant. The overall experience was good, but unfortunately our friends main was burnt. When we mentioned this to our waiter we were sadly disappointed with his reaction. There was no apology or conversation about it. He simply decided to ignore the complaint and not register it. Very disappointing!!!!!

Been here a number of times. Unfortunately this time the burger was no where near as good as it used to be.

Great Sunday lunch

Generally always happi I have visited several times

We came here with my boyfriends parents for their roast dinner and no one was disappointed. The food was impeccable and delicious. I have never been disappointed with the food here.
The only negative was that it was a little cold in restaurant, we were sat near the back. I know they have a log fire in the front where the pub area is and that is lovely.
