Dining at the Red Lion Inn is always special, and the dining room’s food and service never disappoints us. We were glad we had a reservation as the tables filled up quickly on a Saturday. Our server never skipped a beat, and we enjoyed a leisurely well paced lunch.

We always have a great dining experience here. The food is always of exceptional quality. The chicken pot pie maybe the best I’ve had dining out. We also very much enjoy the throwback ambiance of the inn and restaurant.

My wife and I enjoyed a fine dinner in the Bar restaurant at the Red Lion hotel. Our server was most attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was rustic (and just what we wanted), and the meal was perfectly cooked and wonderfully presented! It was simply delightful!

Love coming to the Red Lion in Stockbridge. Sat in the tavern for the first time and it was great. Tavern Menu is great and you can also get that in main dining room. Hope to be back soon!!

The Red Lion is a venerable old institution that is a treasured part of the Berkshires. I have dined there since I was a teenager, and that was some 50+ years ago. It is a great spot for weddings and special occasions. It still draws a great crowd. I don't think they have updated the decor since the first time I went there in the 1960s. To say it needs a refresh is an extreme understatement. The service in the main dining room is very professional. The food is pricey, but not out of reach. Maybe we hit them on a bad day, but there was one bartender taking care of the bar and the diners, so you waited a long time, a loooong time, for a drink. Dinner was enjoyable but not memorable. After dinner, we went downstairs to the cellar bar for some after dinner drinks and entertainment. Again, it was understaffed and looked like the place I used to bring my girlfriends in the early 1970s. Nothing had changed. What did change was the rather rude way in which they announced closing time. "It's closing time. Get out!" is what I heard. Resting on its laurels, perhaps a bit. but despite it all, you need to go there at least once and make a memory.

They need to add more entrees to their menu. Good service and food was good but overpriced.
