   We were there for an early dinner so it was quiet. Nice music playing in the background - not too loud. Staff were attentive but did not interrupt us when we were eating. Nice food, hot and well presented.

   We have been regular customers at The Red Lion for the past two years and have always enjoyed our previous visits. Unfortunately this time they were definitely off their game. First they served us a different drink to the one we ordered and simply said we don't sell what you asked for. It was not an unusual request and the error was rectified satisfactorily but the attitude left something to be desired. We were prepared to let that go, but then when the starter arrived and we bit into the samosa we found that it was still frozen in the middle and clearly was not adequately cooked. So we sent that back and were not charged for it. The final straw was that when my wife's lamb chop arrived, which was well cooked and tasty, the accompanying ratatouille was cold and so that had to be sent back to be rectified. Overall rather disappointing. I would say three strikes and you're out. We still enjoyed our food and the waitresses were very nice and helpful, but although we will go back at some time in the future I don't expect it will be soon.

   This is such a lovely place! Wonderful food excellent service made my Dad's 87th Birthday special. Thank you very much. Highly recommend you all visit.

   My wife and myself go there for Sunday lunch when ever we get the chance Lovely staff brilliant atmosphere and the food is amazing Thank you at the red lion S j Locke

   Ordered a bottle of Prosecco only to be given Tesco plaza centro and charged £28!!!! Peroni flat, garden area really run down, food tasty but cold (explanation for this couscous served cold🤷‍♀️) service from young girls really good, management need to up there game won’t be back

   Sirloin steak was tough and inedible. We were offered something different but declined. The Prawn Linguine, although well presented, was bland. The service was good. We will visit again but will be more selective of our choice from the menu.

   We were very disappointed with what we thought to be a restrictive menu. I ordered a Barnsley chop, which was actually served in a bowl, and extremely difficult to cut with a knife and fork. I also asked if I could have a portion of peas instead of the ratatouille. The server asked the kitchen, and was told this wasn’t possible due to the fact they had a lot of bookings.I just find this hard to understand. This spoilt my meal. I think it was not value for money,and was supposed to be an evening out, but we left as soon as the meal was finished. It’s a shame because we had been several times before and enjoyed our meals
