   Disappointed with our table next to a column and the food. Struggled with communication with our waitress and the waiter was a bit flippant when we asked about using our discount card.

   Although I was able to book via OpenTable, when I arrived I found that the Red Lion wasn't serving food because it was having its kitchen floor re-laid.

   The food was excellent. You MUST try the hot chocolate peanut bomb ! Drinks took a while to come out which was the only real disappointment as we were thirsty !

   I really enjoyed our dining experience at Hand Cross. Service was great and very relaxed with laughter as well. Will be coming again soon.

   Great dinner and service was very good. We had been given a gift certificate for a wedding present and it was a great spot to celebrate. They have a brand new seasonal menu which has some great stuff on it.

   We'd only ever eaten here in the evening but it had just a great an atmosphere at lunchtime. Fabulous menu and good service as always.

   We have eaten here before but had forgotten how slow the service was and how unbelievably expensive the wine is . I have remembered now so won't be going again

   The seats in the bar area need to be cleaned. The restaurant was empty apart from two tables with children on them and we were seated in between. One of the children was young and whinged all through the meal! (Not his fault, as he was probably tired and needing his bed). It might be a good idea not to place a couple wanting a nice meal and a chat next to families, when there are plenty of other available tables. The mushroom soup was delicious, but my sausages had been microwaved and were too well done. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

    Really great place. Fab food- great choice on the menu. Friendly staff. So pleased we decided to book, will be back again.
