    Lovely staff and very attentive, the food was ok but not outstanding, the ambience and atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed our time at the restaurant, would probably return if passing.

    Had a lovely evening at the Red Lion. Food was yummy. Great service, very friendly and made us feel comfortable and well looked after. Garden was very welcoming and relaxed. Would definitely return again.

    The Gluten-Free menu - and for that matter GF Beer too ! - was absolutly excellent. Lots of choice for every course, great flavours and generous portions. Very warm, genuine welcome and super, personable service throughout. Comfortable, atmospheric and spotlessly clean with a great local-Kent-pub feel. Well done and thank you.

    Another of our regular visits to The Red Lion and very enjoyable as usual. Always cheery service, very broad menu that is fully inclusive for omnivours through to coeliac needs. We will be back (again).

    1st time eating here. Came as I have a wheat intolerance. The menu had lots of lovely choices. Nice to eat somewhere knowing you are safe from cross contamination. I had the battered garlic mushrooms (you get a big portion) for starters and a turkey roast dinner for main. The pudding was lovely too. The apple and berry crumble with custard was amazing. Highly recommend 😊 We will definitely be returning

    Excellent service, amazing food and a great cosy pub. Have been several times as it’s a coeliacs dream!

    We booked Sunday lunch to celebrate our daughters birthday. She is coeliac and every meal eaten outside of a Gluten Free environment can be challenging and stressful. As everything is gluten free , this made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. Firstly because there is nothing she cannot eat and also there is no risk of cross contamination as there is no gluten in the kitchen. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

    The pub was comfortably full but there was only one poor lady trying to do everything. She was doing her best but service was naturally quite slow.

    We have been to the red lion multiple times now as I can not eat gluten. We have never been disappointed, although we have never been on a Sunday to have the roast. Well this time we did and they did not fail us. The service as usual is brilliant, very accommodating. The food was amazing. They do the best, light and fluffy gluten free Yorkshire puds ever. The beef and veg were lovely, roast potatoes could have been more cooked but that's personal preference. Even if you are not gluten /dairy free, this is the place to eat.
