Great service and ambiance. Fried chicken was fried perfectly, the duck wontons were excellent and the shredded brussel sprouts were out of this world!
Great brunch! Bradley was an excellent server. Loved our experience!
This was our first time in this restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal. The food was great, the service was outstanding and the ambiance was lovely. We will come again!
Tremendous Ambiance. Very old building - Civil War history. Very quaint. Food was excellent. Town of Middleburg is very charming.
Great food and great people all in one place The food was excellent the servers were friendly and took care of everything for us to have a evening with friends that we will remember for ever see you again soon
We went here for our 22nd wedding anniversary. It was perfect. After spending 3+ living in the UK this took us straight back to the English countryside. A right proper "snug pub" with gourmet comfort food!
Great experience. Good food, service and atmosphere. Middleburg is a quaint town with ample parking and no hassle browsing at local shops.
Excellent, polite service; delicious food; quiet, historic ambiance.
We dine there often. We had a another wonderful evening. Highly recommend.
An exceptional meal in a stunning setting. We went there for a romantic getaway for labor day weekend, and my partner who owns a restaurant loved his meal. We will be coming back.
We've dined at the Red Fox Inn before so this wasn't our first visit. We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary because we enjoy the drive from Warrenton, know that the food is good as well as the ambiance. Quite frankly, our experience went beyond our expectations. First of all, I've been a fan favorite of their Virginia Peanut soup for years so started with a cup of that. We splurged on a four-course offering. Food divine and the portions plenty. In fact, we were stuffed by meal's end. Shrimp and grits rivaled what I had at The Pink House in Savannah, Georgia. Date/pecan salad is a meal in itself but so delicious...candied pecans, warm dates infused with goat cheese tossed gently with greens. The salmon was on a bed of zucchini noodles. Save room, if possible for dessert. I chose the bourbon pecan pie. My husband the chocolate torte. Coffee very good and we had a very pleasant white burgundy with our meal. Our veteran waiter, Brad, was knowledgeable, pleasant, sincere and made us feel very special. Thank you for a very memorable day for us! Don and Anita Sherman
Had the opportunity to dine at the Fox Run with my dearest friend. Enjoyed some fried green tomatoes. They were delectable.
My friend and I love to visit Middleburg. We were pleased to select the Red Fox Tavern/ Inn during the Take a Bite out of Loudoun Restaurant Week. As a NYer who loves fried green tomatoes, I was thrilled when I saw their menu. I was pleased to know they offered an option of a 3 or 4 course meal. 3 courses was plenty, given their generous portions. Our waiter Andrew was a total delight- professional and attentive to us throughout the meal. Dining in a restaurant that is on the Registry of Historic Places was exciting. I will happily return!
My go to place for brunch. Love this restaurant. Never disappointed. Great server. Great food. Great atmosphere.
Truly enjoyed Sunday brunch -- we had the shrimp and grits, and the country sausage gravy. Both were delicious. Our wait staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We would certainly return for another Sunday brunch!
we had a wonderful meal at the Red Fox Inn. our meals were delicious (although a bit salty), the service was really good. we were not rushed. the table next to us was a bit loud, but to be expected in a small area. would definitely recommend
We had a fantastic evening celebrating my husband's bday. The service was top-notch and the hostess was incredibly helpful, kind and went out of her way to help us take a photo before we left. The food was delicious. My husband had the crispy duck and I had grilled pork chop. For a salad I had the goat cheese and date - a must! The goat cheese was toasted inside the date. The peanut soup is not to be missed! (which we almost did but our waiter quickly said he could bring us a cup!) and the bourbon pecan pie was decadent. A++
Good food; great service. Very attentive. Outdoor seating is wonderful.
In the past, we have dined at the Red Fox for lunch. This is the first time we have made the 2 hour drive for dinner, and the Fox did not disappoint. The meal was outstanding and service professional and attentive. We invited friends to join us, and they were impressed.
It was a perfect evening. Nice weather, skilled staff and great food. We’ll be back
If you are in Middleburg you have to go to RedFox Inn. It is the real deal.
Wedding Anniversary Sunday brunch. I had the Shrimp & Grits, rivals any meal of this I had when stationed in Savannah, GA or anywhere else in the deep south for that matter. My wife had the Steak & Eggs, very nice indeed. Bloody Marys here are the best in the DMV. There is a secret ingredient, you just have to try it. We visit the Red Fox usually every month and it never fails. Cheers!
Great service, well-prepared food and a relaxed atmosphere - a really good place to take it easy over a weekend lunch, and well worth the drive.
All good as expected. Server was very pleasant.
The environment and the service were both very good. I ordered the pork chop with potatoes and brussel sprouts, and thought that the pork chop wasn't very good, especially for the relatively high price.
Cozy and romantic ambiance. Generous portions. Excellent service. Food, wine list, and cocktails are world class.
What a fantastic place. My wife and I, my brother and sister-n-law were staying in the area. After a little trip into DC and Grand Falls, we were looking for dinner spot. We did a search and the Red Fox just jumped out at us, especially the terrace seating. Pictures can sometimes deceive, but in this case reality was better than the pictures. The Inn and Tavern are really cool from a historical perspective and the terrace was perfect. Top that off with excellent meals all around and great service and it was one of the most enjoyable dinners the 4 of us have had.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing dinner. The server was very attentive and made sure that we got everything we asked for promptly. The entrees (steak and scallops) were cooked to perfection, and the blueberry/peach cobbler was outstanding for dessert.
We were seated promptly at a great table in the front window. Kyle did an excellent job of making our brunch special. The crispy fried chicken and sole were delicious, as was the peanut soup. The elderberry mimosa was very tasty. A great place to dine before a short walk around Middleburg!
Fantastically friendly staff. Amazing old tavern and inn that is must do if in the area. Historic building with lovely fox hunting decor. Brunch was delicious! Will be back for sure.
Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Love being in a restaurant in an old building. The age of the tavern enhances the ambiance.
Warm, cozy, great service and food. And reliably so. It's a drive, but it's a drive that's worthwhile!
We love the Red Fox Inn and go there as often as we can. Certainly for special occasions which was the occasion on Sunday, an anniversary. The ambiance is wonderful, food is outstanding, service is awesome - what more could a person want!! We always eat inside but there is a nice outside area as well. We always get excellent service, but when Bradley is our server, nothing is better!!
Food was tasty
Location of table near door, waterstand, register was undesirable, but we tolerated it a second time
Lovely brunch last Sunday!! Exquisite pastries, wonderful bloody mary! Great to sit on terrace and nosh with my husband. Eggs Benedict with fried green tomato a little too heavy with that addition but still good. Great bacon and coffee.
We are frequent customers, food and service were top-notch, as always.
My husband and I made a day visit to Middleburg from Washington, D.C. I found the restaurant through the typical Yelp, Open Table, etc. type searches. Our expectations were blown away. First, the service is amazing. Our waiter, Brad, explained the menu, offered recommendations, told some history about the place and even gave us a sample of the peanut soup. Second, the food was amazing. We ordered the shrimp and grits and also the fig and goat cheese salad as starters; the short ribs and also the pecan crusted halibut for mains; and the vanilla crunch cake for dessert. The flavor was on point with all the dishes. The main dishes were a good portion and I even had some leftovers. Third, the atmosphere is nice for a date; its a quaint place.
First visit to the Red Fox Inn. Enjoyed the history of the restaurant. Service was the best. Kyle provide empicable service and recommended a wonderful local wine. I felt the price was a bit high for the restaurant. I will come back thank you.
