Excellent. We tried the small plates menu. Great staff. Beautiful space.
We had a fabulous Easter dinner at Red Fox Inn. The food was delicious & service was outstanding, as always! Mason did a great job!
Overall, every part of our experience was outstanding! Fantastic food, phenomenal service, and a great place to celebrate any occasion.
The food was quite ordinary. It was good, but lacked creativity.
Service was the star at this charming dinner experience. The tasting was overall delicious and the portions were sizable. The outdoor dining was charming, and everyone was so accommodating during these odd times. I can only image what it's like to dine next to one of the roaring fires inside - next time!
Fabulous food in a hunt country setting.
Great food, great service, thoroughly enjoyed the new tasting menu options!
Great food experience. Our specific wait staff was sub-par but the food was very good. We had the Tasting Experience which I found to be a good mix of items. We had rabbit wontons (5*), oysters/brie (5*), beet salad (4*), carrot ginger bisque (5*), portobello mushroom (4*), scallops (4*), sweet potato fries (5*), mushroom side (3*) and roasted strawberry bread pudding (4*).
We sat outside under the tents. It was nice. Got chilly, but nice and well distanced.
Tasting menu and wine pairing were excellent. Cocktails were mixed. We provided feedback about the music which was on a Canon in D wedding march loop. Just gave a very outdated vibe.
The courtyard patio is charming and spacious and the food is delicious as always!
Wonderful ambiance and delicious and elegant meal.
Excellent service and delicious food! The ambience is outstanding.
We had the spring 4 course meal. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice.
Preparation and presentation superb. Overpriced. Wine by the bottle---good value; by the glass overpriced. Room too dark. Couldn't read the wine list.
Outstanding in every way! My gal pals and I did the small plates and they were all delicious. Do not miss the Piedmont Spritz ‘Foxtail’! It was so amazing, we each had 3!! The Inn, restaurant and our waiter Justin were all fantastic! I can’t wait to come back!
The experience, the Food and the service are bar none.
We were looking forward to some interesting cuisine and good wines, to celebrate our anniversary. My food was okay but my wife's lamb was tough, even with the steak knife. The flourless torte wasn't firm, as we would have expected; and far too sweet. The wines were atrocious. And at the prices charged, the word SCAM comes to mind. I wouldn't drink them if they were gifted to me. And I'm no wine snob. I can't recall that I've ever left so harsh a review of any restaurant I've patronized anywhere in the US or Europe.
Wonderful food and wonderful service!
The entire meal was amazing! The food was out of this world and I only wish that I could have finished all of the desert as the tasting menu was a LOT of food!
Highly recommend if you're in Middleburg. The Tasting Menu/Experience was worth the price and well curated.
Did the winter tasting menu was a good variety of bison and rabbit which was tender and tasty!
Chef was great about accommodating my food allergies. Food and ambience were great.
The four-course dinner was vey good, marred somewhat by an obnoxious guest at a not-too-distant table. The rack of lamb course was simply too much to eat, despite its good taste. Service was excellent.
Loved it! Great vibe, you or old. If you want to get dressed up and have a nice dinner with no fuss the 4 course meal they have now is Fab- tip, we spent the extra money for the filet entree- delicious! Justin was our waiter, great!!
Always wonderful dining experience 🤩
We had a girls get away at the Red Fox Inn. Our evening meal was at the tavern where we chose the 4 course tasting experience with the Virginia wine. We found the food to be delicious, beautifully plated and a nice selection. I do wish we had not chosen the VA wine pairing. Unfortunately, we only enjoyed one of the wines which was the sparkling paired with the first course. The second wine immediately was lost as it was paired with the beet salad. The sweet dessert wine was too sweet for the dessert. The food, service and ambiance were wonderful. Enjoy the meal and choose your own wines!
Enjoyed the wonderful Saturday evening tasting experience. Couldn't have had a better meal or dining experience. Really looking forward to my next visit.
Amazing fixed price dinner. The seasonal winter menu with wine pairing was AMAZING! Superb evening.
Let’s just say that our tummies were really really happy walking out of this place. Michelin worthy for sure.
A meal at the Inn is a fabulous experience. If can sit near a fireplace. The wait staff is excellent and the food is fantasticf.
The Red Fox Tavern was absolutely delicious! The food was incredible and the ambiance was delightful. It was a little pricey but worth it!
Always a great dinner! Cool to eat in such an established building! It's the oldest longest running restaurant/bar in the US! Tasting menu was outstanding! Such a unique mix of flavors and ingredients!! Can't wait to visit again!
This was a lovely, relaxed evening of fine food! The duck was delicious!
A cozy, yet elegant atmosphere. Food was divine and ingredient were fresh, innovate and delicious. It is on the expensive side but worth it for a night out with close friends or a loved one!
Dined for 50th birthday. We were outside on the tented patio. Heaters weren’t working very well and unfortunately was uncomfortably cold. Ended up taking desserts to go as a result. Food was good - would suggest adding a filet for picky eaters who don’t want things like quail, duck, or rabbit.
Thie Red Fox Inn is a charming restaurant. I have gone a few times. The food can vary, however, even though the menu doesn't change for months. Lambwas good one time, a little tough another. The oysters rockefeller were delicious one time, mushy another. Servive is usually quite good but can disappear for a while sometimes. Overall, I like it but it can do a little better on consistency.
The food and service was wonderful
Food was amazing. Would definitely go back.
We did their 4 Course menu and was very impressed with every plate!
My husband and I enjoyed the Valentine's dinner. We sat out in the tent on the patio. It was plenty warm enough to take off coats. The lighting was pretty. I felt comfortably spaced apart from others. The food was delicious especially the quail first course and the bread pudding dessert. Also loved my cocktail and wine. Attentive friendly service. Expensive, but a great place for a special occasion dinner.
