   At $477 for 2 people this restaurant is INSANELY overpriced for what you get. Service was great. Food started with a single dumpling, and ended with squishy scallops over polenta that was liquid? I’ve had polenta all over the country and never seen it like this… it’s very disappointing going into a restaurant expecting it to be the meal of the year and paying almost $500 for subpar food. The whole experience finished with a meringue atop the dessert that was old and stale. The poor waiter who I think was responsible for the whole restaurant, also had a trainee at his hip which did not elevate the experience. Say what you want, no better than 3.9 food.

   My wife and I went to The Red Fox Inn & Tavern for our 18th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. We ordered from the seasonal four-course tasting menu and everything was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was charming. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

   Celebrating my birthday we chose the Red Fox Inn since we had not been there in a while. We went there with limited expectations. The culinary experience was excellent service from our waiter James was fantastic and the vintage setting was perfect. My wife was on the second course and had already decided to come back soon.

    Celebrating successful babysitting of 6 year old and toddler while parents attended a destination wedding. The Tavern at Red Fox Inn is the best reward. Great cocktails.     Dinner was to celebrate my husband’s 78th birthday. The evening was nothing short of magical. The food was outstanding. Lou had the filet mignon and said it was the best he’d ever had. Loved our server. He was so nice and did an excellent job of describing the wines we enjoyed that were pared with our courses. All in all it was a memorable experience.

    Spectacular. Wonderful food, ambiance, service. We actually prefer this to The Inn at Little Washington. Meals are not as “artistic” as Little Washington’s, but they’re as good.

    Wonderful 4 course meal. We shared the two different wine pairings and each was very good. Brandon was wonderful as a server both with food and wine background but also in the history of the venue. Very attentive. Overall very enjoyable afternoon and definitely did not disappoint.

    I loved the ambiance there, but unfortunately there was a power outage when we got there, and we only had drinks. The server was wonderful though, but the prices for all the drinks, including wine & cocktails, were incredibly high.

    Ambiance and service were fantastic. A+. Food is very good, but not amazingly good. A solid B. My wife is a vegetarian and the vegetarian main course of a stuffed portobello mushroom was unfortunately underwhelmingly. We had a fantastic time but a little more effort could be put into serving vegetarian guests a more interesting main course.
