Esta histórica taberna fue creada en 1728 y recibe tanto a clientes locales de Middleburg como a visitantes que quieran disfrutar de desayunos abundantes, almuerzos informales y cenas íntimas con velas al estilo tradicional de Virginia. El establecimiento cuenta con mesas de roble, muebles hechos a mano, chimeneas de piedra, techos con vigas de madera y paredes gruesas de piedra que crean un ambiente íntimo para comer en cualquier momento. El equipo culinario crea menús de platillos de temporada con ingredientes locales de Virginia y del sur, y los elabora con las respetadas técnicas de cocina de ahumado, estofado y asado.     One of the most delicious meals we have ever experienced. Truly amazing food. Wish the chairs were more comfortable and the restaurant used tablecloths. I yhink the food would have presented better on something other than charcoal grey plates. The staff were wonderful.

    I recently dined at this restaurant and overall had a positive experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, and the service was attentive. While I enjoyed the meal, I did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side. I ordered the ribeye, which had a good flavor, but it was a bit too fatty for my taste. That said, the sides and overall presentation were excellent. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a quality meal and don’t mind spending a little extra.

    We had the two course meal and found it good but not great and for the price, it was disappointing. The Inn is lovely and historic and we enjoyed the atmosphere. It was also quiet enough for us to communicate easily with our friends.

    Our waiter was not very attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine. We tasted the wine and he served three of us and then did not pour a glass for the person who tasted the wine (me). I said I think you forgot someone and he walked away. After taking our dinner order, he did not refresh any of the wine glasses. After we were served our dinner (by food servers), he never came back to check on us until we were finished. He didn't ask if we wanted coffee or after dinner drinks with our dessert. A person who refilled our water, brought us an after dinner drinks menu. Very poor service, for an expensive restaurant. Four people, with tip spent over $700. Very dissapointing.......

    We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The attention to detail regarding the menu and any food allergies was impressive! The food was excellent; though not too adventurous. The wine selection is fetching; even moved me to order a red wine; which I don’t normally do. It was a local Virginia wine and was very pleasant to drink with the meal. We were there for our anniversary and so were 3 other couples; coincidentally. The artwork displayed around the restaurant and inn is classic Virginia offering. Each painting made you feel like you were looking at the actual event. Truly an enjoyable evening and meal!
