An incredible and memorable meal on every level. Oyster Rockefeller. Beat salad. Lobster and crab. Sancerre.
Amazing ambiance + perfect service = very happy valentines.
The food was exquisite. The ambiance was romantic and quiet. Service was prompt and courteous. An overall excellent experience, worthy of special occasions.
Brunch was wonderful. Food was good. The butternut wontons are fabulous. A little more seasoning in the grits and omelet would be wonderful.
Amazing food and cozy comfortable atmosphere!
I have been to the Red Fox a few times over the years and it remains one of my favorite places to eat in Middleburg. This time I brought my kids (7 and almost 5) as well. I was a little nervous to bring them to a more fine dining place, but the wait staff couldn't have been more wonderful and my little foodies enjoyed every bite. The food and service were top-rate (as per all of my previous experiences) and I plan to continue visiting when I am in town.
Simply put, the best meal I have ever had. It was incredible. The ambiance of the restaurant was very warm and inviting. The meal is definitely for a special occasion.
We had a truly amazing night at the Red Fox Inn. here were four of us for dinner and
.every thing we ordered was creatively designed and expertly prepared
We had the pear crostini and the Brie and fig flatbread appetizers both of which were scrumptious, every morsel was devoured. Our Entrees were equally well prepared (and equally demolished!) The wine list was interesting and we enjoyed a lovely bottle of Merlot. We were in the small back room of the tavern, very cozy with a lovely fire going The service was attentive but not intrusive. We highly recommend dining at the Red Fox Inn! .
We had a very nice dinner experience at the Red Fox Inn; the ambiance was quiet, relaxing and comfortable. The food was well prepared, but I do not recommend the steak. One of the specials was a 16oz rib eye and there is a 16oz, bone in rib eye on the menu. Our waiter’s description of the difference was not very helpful; it was sliced too thin for my liking. HadI looked at both cuts, I probably would have ordered another dish and been very satisfied.
Yummy food. Great service.
Great food and setting. Attentive and friendly service.
We have a long history at the Red Fox Inn. It NEVER disappoints. If you've never been, you owe it to yourself to go and experience its charm, excellent food, and attentive staff.
Not impressed by the service or price
We love the Red Fox Inn and have been going there for over 40 years. However, the prices have gone up quite a bit and we no longer feel the drive (as beautiful as it is out there) is worth the cost Eggs $23 - Chicken $26 - they need to revisit the pricing.
We had a delightful brunch. It did surprise me that no attention was given to the birthday occasion.
My husband and I received a gift card from a family member to stay at the Inn and we decided to have dinner there as well. The meal was fantastic and we were very pleased with the service as well. We highly recommend the Inn and the Tavern. We will be going back for sure.
Always a treat; cozy atmosphere
Great experience, and we have already booked another visit!!!
Dinner for my Husband’s 60th Birthday. One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Excellent and enjoyable service, warm comfortable atmosphere. The Red Fox never disappoints!
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the Winter Tasting menu at the Red Fox Inn & Tavern. I was initially concerned about the limited menu, given that I'm such a finicky eater. Every course was delightful as were the wine pairings that went with each course. I particularly remember the herb crusted halibut. The service was extraordinary and it put the finishing touches on an already amazing birthday weekend.
When I tried to use my Open Table gift card, the server denied it and said she had "checked with the manager and we don't belong to this program." Clearly that is untrue. The meal with tip was $300 for two people and I thought the service and food were average. Not accepting my Open Table reward of $50 was the icing on the cake. We will never return.
First time at the RedFox. Much hype about this place due to it's location. We have to wonder if the menu at other times is any different. We were there for Sunday Brunch. The saving menu item is the mulled cider. A few of those and it's possible to overlook how much salt was used or how little duck was used in the hash. We will not ever go for brunch again.
Although this was a special occasion I can see coming here for a regular dinner in the taproom. It was very cozy and service was exceptional. Highly recommend
Lovely dinner. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Ended up being a little pricey — but a very nice splurge indeed!
Everything we ate was delicious.
Outstanding dinner relaxing not rushed great food choices and enjoyed
My wife and I have eaten at the Inn on numerous occasions but this is the first time that we spent a night in one of their rooms. The room was excellent, quiet and spacious. We stayed in the Piedmont Suite and it was trully outstanding in all aspects. The staff at the Inn are friendly, professional and courteous. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I wanted it to be truly special and it was. We look forward to more visits to the Inn.
New Year’s Eve 5 course dinner was wonderful ! Service was great and attentive. Food was fabulous! We had the best table in the back room by the fire! Such an historic and charming building. So much food we had to take our dessert to go. Can’t wait to come back again for dinner!
Our server, Brandon, was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Exceptional. From the appetizer to dessert, everything was prepared perfectly.
Wonderful meal and service!
It was fantastic! It was the day after Christmas so they still had a fixed menu and service was wonderful.
Perfect service and food in an historic building.
Fine Christmas Eve Dinner with the family. Just per!
The food and service was 5star!
Went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch with my wife, our first visit. The atmosphere was amazing. Stone walls from the 18th century and a we were seated next to a fireplace. Incredibly charming. Food was mostly very good. Pre-meal pastries were delicious. The French toast was also delicious. The fried chicken, while tasty, was very dry. Service was good, however when they took our plates to box up the uneaten portion of our meal, we got home to find a lot of it was not put in the box. None of the side dishes were included and only the chicken that was totally untouched made the box. Very disappointing. Two, 2-course meals, with tip, was about $100... so it was a pricy brunch. All-in-all we enjoyed our visit and would probably return.
Great food and great service. Love the Red Fox!
We’ve been returning to the Red Fox Inn for years. We love it every time! It is absolutely charming and the food is fantastic!
Texas fried in town. Her birthday.
The food was amazing. It’s always a treat to eat here.
One member of our party ordered a gin and tonic. It was prepared with club soda instead of tonic. When asked, the server claimed this was how they were instructed to prepare them. The ingredients are in the name of the drink. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great food and service in a quaint, comfortable setting! Will definitely return.
