The Red Dory is a casual fine-dining restaurant located in the Stone Bridge village of Tiverton, Rhode Island, overlooking the Sakonnet River. We had four courses of seafood. Raw oysters and clams, grilled octopus. and halibut main course shared. All went well with their generous martini.

Menu was clean and tight. Service was attentive and helpful. Bit loud. Food was high quality. Chowder and fries were delicious. Fish was a bit under-seasoned… all-in-all a good time. Will be back, for sure.

What can compare with a matchless winodino on the Red Dory deck as the sun sets over the Sakonnet. The impeccable guidance of Maitre & Sommelier Jared was complemented by Jade's attentive and personalized service. As a long-standing Dory-philee, we can attest to the always consistent and ever improving level of the experience.

Just amazing culinary experience with the flavors and options. Cocktails are creative and delicious. Service has been great, very attentive and professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

We had the best calamari we have ever eaten . The power went out while we were there and the staff was amazing. The carried on without skipping a beat.

Excellent service! The food was fresh, creative dishes, and everything was delicious. The swordfish was perfectly cooked. We hope to return.

Was a little more casual than we thought. Also, we were not allowed to sit out on the patio after 8:30 pm which I thought was just a little strange. The fried oysters were great. The mixed green salad was very bland. Not very vegetarian-friendly, and the menu was limited. Great wine choices.

We’ve loved the Red Dory for years but the last 2 visits have been lackluster. For the first time ever nothing grabbed me on the menu (no menus - just phone or tablet!! - hate that). Luckily it was just us - no friends or family - so a salad was enough for me. The space is loud - especially when another table gets going. The back room area (where we tucked into last time) was even louder. Now that the weather’s better we’ll sit outside and hope it doesn’t rain. There needs to be a simple “back up” entree - chicken/pesto/pasta like dish ?? that can work for everyone. Something to fall back on in a pinch. Good service so that’s always a plus.
