We went to check out the band. The Dirt was awesome!
Despite a reservation booked a month in advance for our group of 8 ( I knew it would be busy as it was New Year’s Eve) we were sat at a tight table that was meant for 5. Looking around, other tables that could seat 8 easily and comfortably, were occupied by groups of 4 or 5. We did question this to staff but the reply was , this is what they have for us. Needless to say this experience greatly diminished my view of this once loved restaurant that we have been loyal to for quite a few years.

We've been to Silver Star many times, but this was our first (and last!) visit to the Red Antler. The only bright spot was a server who appeared a couple of times in the middle of our meal, and was very helpful and attentive. Our main server was indifferent, and the food was surprisingly poor: the mashed potatoes were instant, the pork schnitzel had a distinct fishy flavor, the chicken parmesan was flavorless, and even the spaghetti sauce was watery and noticeably inferior to a decent jar of sauce from a supermarket. The vibe was decent, with appropriate decor and the energy you'd expect in a ski resort eatery. We paid $140 plus tip for 4 adults and a kid (no kids menu), which I'd happily pay for a great meal, but this was far from worth it for what we got. Maybe they do better when it’s not during the holidays, but based on our experience, I’d recommend giving the Red Antler a miss.
Party of 8 including 2 young kids, arrived on time for our 7pm sitting. Went to buffet immediately. After getting our first serving the buffet was cleared away, including the desert items! So we were not able to go back for more and we had to ask the waitress if we could get dessert! The waitress was quite embarrassed about the situation but she still provided great service. She was able to get us the desserts, but it was quite apparent that the Christmas dinner was over and management wanted patrons to clear out. The food was ok but disappointing experience!
Our Christmas Buffet experience of 2018 was considerably better and we enjoyed the variety and choice of dishes. This year the turkey buffet was pretty much what we expected as I had checked the menu beforehand with a staff member. (Who was very pleasant). They also made an adjustment to my booking so we could join our friends. However, we were now a party of were 6 adults at our table and the music was very loud and more suitable for a general "pub" night than the Christmas Dinner. We may go back to SilverStar for Christmas Day/Boxing Day again next year but possibly not to the Red Antler.
Great staff! Our waitress Dizzy was the best! Super attentive and so friendly. The atmosphere was warm and perfect for Christmas. The food was delicious, great turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Save the hassle and come to the Antler for Christmas every year!!

Extremely noisy. Football game blasting. Unable to talk. Staff that took us to the table was unfriendly. Sat for a while but no one came to serve us so we left
A great experience for the first time Christmas Day Buffet Brunch. Booking was easy!! The food was really good and plenty of variety and plenty of it!!! The only item missing would be a fish choice maybe or at least an option to purchase. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our chat with Jo our waitress from Aussieland!!! Will certainly book again for next year and although we are "local" would probably try to book overnight to add to the feeling of a mini vacation. We snowshoe/ski and will be back to the Red Antler for our "acres activity" on our future visits. Thank you.
This is Christmas eve at the Red Antler so its busy all at once after the fireworks. We expect the service to be slower and we accept that. Overall the atmosphere is good and being with friends and family is always a good thing. They are for my part, expensive, but where isn't anymore. We have been going there for years on Christmas Eve and it has become a tradition for us, we will be back next year. Our server was very good and kept us up on when our food would be ready, drinks kept coming in the mean time. Good time.
An atypical experience at the Red Antler tonite that was all the more unfortunate as it was Christmas Eve.
Food came before our drinks and the ribs were super chewy and inedible. They took my ribs off the bill and the service was alright considering how busy it was.
