Dinner was delicious and the games were nostalgic and fun! Brought 2 kids (4&8) and they had a blast! Games were More suitable for the 8 year old but the little one had fun too! As a mom, I liked that they placed a section with scarier games geared for adults set away from the main games - that way kids don’t stumble into that section easily and you have more control over what kids are exposed to. Kids are only allowed until 10 or 11 pm.
We've been to the Rec Room on a number of occasions. On this occasion we were getting together with some out of town friends (California) who enjoy gaming.
The food was only so-so,
The drinks were good
The atmosphere was good
The games was fantastic
The VR Nicodemus was just confusing. The puzzles instructions were hard to read and the story line was had to follow. For $40 a person * 4 ($160) this was pretty pricy for something that wasn't very good due to the aforementioned issues. We've done the Ghost Busters VR at your venue before and that was great.
Far too busy to enjoy the games and entertainment. The lines and wait times made enjoying the non dining portion of our evening impossible. The food was good, not outstanding.
The food sucked and the arcade isn’t the best without a lot of variety
Excellent excellent excellent Italian pizza! It will be our pizzeria
Service left much to be desired. Server was friendly but it was obvious his section was larger than he could handle. It was a struggle to get a hold of him.. we spotted him once every 30 minutes or so and the food took long.
We had a party of 8 with 5 children. Our server did not come to the table to ask how we were doing. Only time she came was to take our order and for the bill. The table was a mess. Finished apps/plates were not cleared off. Non-alcoholic beverages took 20 minutes. Children ordered ice cream and by the time they got to the table they were melted. Overall not a great experience.
Awful service. Accused us twice of somehow having sneaked into the restaurant. Forgot the starter, messed up the burger order. Would not go back even if I would get paid. Worst place I have been to in Toronto.
Went there for birthday. Great location; pricing of menu appeared fair.
We had an awesome time! And at 11:30am it was quiet and we loved it just fine. The kids had an amazing time playing! We loved the calamari, fish n chips, chicken wings!!! The table is for 2 hours and we stayed another hour or so playing and having fun! We enjoyed the photobooth too! We'll be back soon! Our wait staff was very cordial and nice! She was ver accomodating! 😍
The Three10 burger and chicken sandwich tasted amazing. Was a bit frustrated that we had to wait 30min for food (maybe because we are a larger group?), but then the manager came to us and apologized for the long wait. And he even offered us credits for the gaming area. Overall, great food and great service. Food can be served faster tho :)
Really disappointed in our experience. We were not told there was a private event, and were hurried out of our table and the whole place so couldn’t enjoy the games. Our original reservation was 1:30, but we came earlier (thank god). The rest of our party who showed up at the original time was not allowed to eat as we were told the kitchen was closed. Absolutely ridiculous. There was a serious lack of communication between the booking staff, wait staff and management. I even called multiple times to confirm as we had a large table. No one said a single word until I saw it online after checking the menu only 2 hrs before our reservation. Absolutely terrible.
I have been to the rec room a handful of times. The first couple experiences were amazing! The service was great, we never had an issue getting popcorn and the food was outstanding! We went in May and it seemed a little longer to get our food, the server wasn't as on the ball as before, we only got 1 popcorn for the 4 of us after we had gotten our apps but the food was still amazing (I had the mussels and lobster mac n cheese.. best food I've ever had)!
We made a reservation for 7:45PM and were not seated until 8:05PM - 8:10PM. I think they forgot about us. We had to ask to be seated. After we were seated we ordered drinks and were never brought popcorn. We ordered food and asked for the popcorn again. We got our apps and still no popcorn. We ordered 2 dips with pita bread for the table and had a total of maybe 10-12 pieces of bread. We asked 3 times for extra pita bread and 3 times for popcorn. We got the popcorn right before our mains and got the pita bread AFTER our mains!! We were also charged for the extra pita bread... Then my friend had asked the server if they do anything for birthdays. The server said yes and we asked for cheesecake of some sort. Never once did she tell us we would be charged for it. The mains were okay. The steak was extremely small and the falafel seemed hard to eat. We had to wait an additional 5-7 minutes for the salmon entree to come out after everyone's mains came out. Another issue we had was my friend's drink. She ordered a double vodka cran and it was definitely not a double. She did say something (which she never does) and it was fixed to a double. We ended up getting the bill and were charged $9 for the cheesecake. If there was a charge for this, that's okay but we should have been told. To be honest, my 2 friends from Toronto that came with us warned they had a bad experience a couple weeks ago but we disregarded it and went. Kinda wish we would have listened and went somewhere else. Not sure if we'll be back.
Great! Would go again!!
The pizza was very good and the server was nice. However, the food took a very long time to arrive. We ordered an appetizer that came almost at the same time as our main course. It was a good thing the kids were entertained playing video games.
No options for vegetarians... some food items are overly priced. Due to so much rush you can think of playing any games. And seating can be awkward for some people as 3-4 table are set just beside the kitchen and you can feel the heat coming from there which nobody likes.
Being told by the hostess that we could only have the table for a set time really spoiled my mood on the service.
It was obvious the server was new but she was polite and pleasant and tried hard.
The games are mostly cell phone games blown up to arcade size. Not recommended for any actual gamer. Good for a casual audience or kids.
I was really excited to go to the RecRoom for my birthday, however we sat at our table for 10 minutes without service. The waitress in the section next to ours came to ask if we had seen our assigned waiter and we had not, so she went to get them. Now we’ve been sitting there for 20 minutes and no one had come, so the waitress that checked up on us served us. The steak was over cooked and when we returned it, it took just as long the second time as it did the first. Our compensation was 80 (40x2) tokens on a wristband which lasted all of 10 minutes. Besides the waitress that went above and beyond her job, I will not be returning to the RecRoom. I had better service at Dave & Busters, also better selection of games.
I was disappointed with the staff. Mainly the hostess. I had noted my reservation with some requests and she ignored every single one of them. I had to re ask for them a few times before they were actually honoured. I realize requests are just that and not guaranteed but I just receive attitude from her when I was asking her about them. She denied my request for a table with a booth saying they were taken for reservations. We did eventually get one and the whole time we were there we saw 4 other booths with not a soul sitting in them. So I wasnt happy with her lying to me.
Food was great. Games were fun. Over all it was a fun time. I just didnt appreciate the attitude I got from the hostess.
LOVED our experience! K, our server, was absolutely phenomenal! She was on top of everything and had the most pleasant demeanor. She laughed with us and was extremely polite. She checked when we had questions and came back quickly with answers.
Only two issues we had were after our meal: a few of the games were Out of Order, but there were no signs indicating such and trying to get someone to check our coats was an absolute nightmare. There was a sign at the Coat Check saying someone would be back by 7:30, so we went back at 7:30 and the coat-checker said "Oh, it will be open soon, in 20 minutes." Went back after 20 minutes and still not open. Finally we got our coats checked after numerous guests tried to butt in line to retrieve their coats. Honestly, it wasn't enough to ruin the evening, but it was a pain point for us. Other than that it was an absolute blast! Loved that we received popcorn as a starter! And again, K our server was absolutely amazing! Shout-out to K!
Just FYI while completing this review, it asked me to upload a photo, I have one but it's telling me it doesn't fit... I'm not sure how to correct that or to make it 512x512 pixels; just a thought this might be an issue for other guests.
I felt that the waitstaff could have been more attentive. Other than taking orders and delivering orders, there were no visits to the table to enquire about how things were or if we needed anything. We had to flag down another employee to get a dessert menu after our plates were cleared, as our server did not ask or offer or reappear.
Please include DAZN channels for soccer. Came with two friends around lunch time to eat and watch the soccer game only to find out they didn’t have the channel.
My boyfriend and I made a reservation for dinner at Three10 for his birthday. When we arrived the waiter sat us at a table meant for 6 people and said that the other tables were dirty. We were looking at the menu for 3 minutes before a different waitress came to our table and forced us to move, despite the previous waiter seating us there. She sat us at a dirty table that she did not even bother to clean up properly. The table was very wet and she left me with a previously used(dirty) plate and didn’t care enough to take it away until I said something! A third waitress came to take our order and asked us to repeat ourselves at least 4 times. When she came with our food, it was cold and she had gotten the order wrong DESPITE asking for clarification multiple times. The staff here clearly could not care less about doing their jobs correctly. Overall the experience was terribly disappointing and the best part of the night was leaving.
Went here for brunch and was surprised that the food was good. Service was excellent and the space is beautiful. Been here before at night and the in the daytime there were kids. Prefer the nighttime scene. Would recommend for groups.
Energetic mix of Resto, Bar and VR games! Super-friendly staff - beer list is crisp and local; food portions are LARGE - the place is a "Fun Spectacle"!
Food was good, the chicken was easy to cut, usually when I go to eat out chicken is one the hardest to cut. Enjoyed the Service, server was excellent and enthusiastic.
The food and drink were quite good (would be nice to have a better/premium tonic option). I was disappointed that the server didn’t promote the $10 wristband you’re supposed to get with your meal and explain how/where to use it. We were a group of 20 and no-one played anything and no-one knew how to get the wristbands or use them. It was very loud in the dining area because it’s right next to a large arcade, would have been nice to have that walled off just a bit since it was a work function and no one could hear each other.
The food was very cold and tasteless my kids who were over 11 could not order kids menu even though the server let them look at it so I had to order similar items and waste food ... that is not cool when people are starving.
Nice place, a lot of space to enjoy with friends, children friendly, good service and good food
Please make sure your employees smile!! They look so miserable.
Trivia was fun and the games are always a blast. I was disappointed with the hostess. I booked through Open Table. When we arrived I was clear about booking on Open Table and to mark us arrived. She didn't do it. I'm was annoyed because this isn't the the first or second time that at this location my points were not awarded. Open Table customer service was great at adjusting my account.
Food was great but the staff was less than good. They really did not seem to want to be there. No smiles, very indifferent.
All good and so much fun! I recommend this place for families
When you see the pics from their social media, you expect t o be wowed when you walk in.
Not at all, not impressed.
The restaurant is big and is a the back of the building so you don't hear the noise "that much".
Even though it was not fully packed, there were only 1/2 waiters around so it took a lot of time to get served.
Food was average, not too many healthy options and price was ok.
Drinks were meh, nothing outstanding.
When I made the reservation, I specified it was for a birthday, well they did not even ask or bring a piece of cake...
As for the games, they are NOT in a separate room so you can hear all the noise when you are eating. Games were the same ones you can find at another place like this.
An area of the place was closed, believed it was where the pool tables, and other games were and they did not mention that on their website, otherwise I wouldn't chosen this place.
Yes, you can have fun but expect the place to be cramped on the games and meh on the restaurant.
I had a blast
Waited a very long time for our food which was ok.
The huge problem was not enough staff, they were nice enough but waited over 20 minutes for bill.
Poor guy had so many tables he just couldn’t manage it!
When u have a baseball game starting you need more Staff!!
Always a good time. Kids play games while we wait for meals. Portions are huge. Family of 4 ate for just over $100 including alcohol.
It is a good, central location to meet friends in the city. Not sure about parking since I was able to park at my friend's condo a 5 minute walk away. Our dinner was surprisingly delicious, I wasn't sure if it would be like an adult chuck e. cheese but we all really enjoyed our meals and the popcorn they brought us at the end. I would dine here again over taking advantage of playing the games. There wasn't as large a selection as say, Dave & Busters, and most of them were in use (on the holiday Monday, though) so we didn't have a chance to play any of the racing games/motorcycle/shooting games. Some machines took my credits several times and didn't work, some machines didn't reward any points after playing even though they were displayed so for the price it is to play the games, I don't think it's actually worth it. Prizes aren't great either, we spent about $25 each to play games, spent about an hour there and walked out with candy as our "prizes". It was a fun group experience, but would rather meet there for drinks/dinner because of large open loft-feeling space, good food, the fun atmosphere and then maybe go to the aquarium or something else interesting nearby rather than play games.
I’ve visited Rec Room a dozen times since its opened and this was by far the worst experience. The service was horrible and our server may have been the most juvenile unprofessional server ever. After my friend was brought the wrong order twice, he never apologized and proceeded to demean our friend at the end of the night by saying it sucked he couldn’t eat tonight and then commenting on the fact that he did not receive a tip as being ‘a classsy move’. Poor service, poor attitude and a terrible experience that drained the life of our evening. Manage to would only comp us some video game plays for a future visit.
