Our server was very personable and attentive. Our food was ready quickly. We really enjoyed the complimentary popcorn! It was a fun experience for our son’s 14th birthday celebration.
Should extend hours to midnight. Also add more food items to the menu.
We saw our server 2 times, there was plastic in my drink and our food was overcooked. No one checked on us during our meal, and after we sat finished for over ten minutes I finally had to ask the manager for our bill, when we got it, it was wrong. We noticed the entire time we were eating our server was either sitting at a table of friends he knew. He also ignored another customer. We put we were celebrating our anniversary, it was our first time out in 2 years, and first date since having our son. We will not be going back
Cameron was an awesome server and the food was amazing
We had a reso for 6:30 arrived a tad bit late but they were really chill with it. Wait staff is very welcoming and polite. Service was quick so we had ample time to play games. Food was delicious, I had the steak and frites. The popcorn is a good idea. Overall great experience
The food was good but not excellent. I had the steak frites which was overcooked to how I ordered it. My husband had the fish and chips but the fish inside the batter was tiny.
We had salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was really good but the caramel sauce was just super sweet without a lot of flavour. It was a gift card so I wouldn't go and pay out of pocket. Might be a good place to take the kids.
It was too expensive for what you got- on top of that the food wasn’t great and the beer selection was lacking
Had the best time, but the music was too loud to hear anything or the instructions of the VR and axe throwing
Came here with a few friends and we had a blast! Food was great and the games were fun
The place was empty and the food was not great…would not recommend!
Our family ate at the Rec Room restaurant while on a day trip to London. It was very good food, lots of variety and the prices are on par with similar restaurants. The server was excellent and we got bags of popcorn to hold us over before other main food arrived.
The food was absolutely amazing! Such a great price for delicious, generous portions!
The service was fantastic! Super fast and absolutely friendly! Our server even took the time to talk with each of the kids.
Drinks were not good at all, food was mediocre. Service was great but we wont be re visiting
Our server Nathan was awesome. He treated us like VIPs. He was quick, knew the menu, made jokes, and had a great rapport with us. He made us feel welcome. Management was awesome too! Love the rec room and will be going back again and again! Highly recommend this place for young couples and families. The ambiance is super chill and laid back.
Waiter are amazing funny and polite games are very fun and overall great night out👍
Our waiter kept forgetting to bring us drinks, then food. Over-priced food that gave us heartburn. Never going back
The Rec Room would be good for a family with children in the proper age level. The food was good, but pricey. You could hold a conversation as it was not very loud.
A group of us went to watch the UFC fights, and we have a nice table with the big screen. The service was slow, and it took 15 minutes to get drinks. We never got water for the table like the groups next to us, or pop corn. And I come to rec room a lot, and when it’s just me and my husband, we get more attention. I saw there was only one girl for 3 very large parties, and it can be a lot. She was nice, but needed help. Once we ordered food, we didn’t get any napkins or cutlery until 10 min after the food arrived. Then she got let go early and another guy took over, but she left the bill all one bill, and I had to split it up with a dozen people! Over all I loved the food, and the games, it’s always fun. But they definitely need more servers on for a perfect experience.
Everything went pretty great. We did have a large table of 20 plus people. But only complaint was it took almost an hour for everyone to pay for dinner
I ordered a chicken club sandwich. The "bacon aoli" was obviously just bacon grease and made me feel bloated and ill the rest of the night. Considering it was on the "light menu" i feel like I was swindled out of my money and did not recieve what I has asked for.
The manager yelled across the room at my foreign friend that he needs to "CHILL OUT" when he had a louder moment due to the nfl superbowl game we were watching on tv.
Noone seemed to mind my friend had a loud moment, except this manager/security hotshot in a blue shirt that decided it would be appropriate to yell at a customer across the room. Good thing my friend is respectful and responsible otherwise he would have been well within his rights to refuse payment for the attempted public humiliation this manger/ security guy tried to bestow on him.
Terrible experience. The only highlight was the waiter was extremely friendly and courteous and very responsive to our party of 5s needs.
If the chef and the security/manager/blue shirt man had shown our food and friends hakf the respect the waiter showed us, we would have gladly returned for another meal/gathering.
I will probably never again visit this location to eat as the food was disgusting and the manager/security guy/blue shirt man ruined this restaurant for me and ny grouo of friends probably forever.
The server was terrible, she never introduced herself. She walked up and put water on the table. She should came back later I asked if she was our server. She said I put the water on your table so I’m your server. She never checked in on us during our meal. Not sure if I would go back. Not pleasant for a date night.
Food was really Good. We would just go for food and a drink one night!
Food was excellent
Atmosphere was perfect
I cant complain at all.
Just a minor imporovement- I arrived 10 mintues prior to my reservation, not one person in terms of waitress or server greeted me, the lobby had four servers and not one of them desired to help me.
I literally sat myself and waited for my group to arrive.
Eventually someone came and from there on the service was great.
We were seated quickly, the environment had a calming feel. Food was delicious and well priced, so many great choices will be back to try more!
The staff were amazing! It was my daughters “surprise” birthday lunch with her friends and they were so accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend!
Great ambiance- loved watching the ufc fight
The reason for the poor review would be that I ended up with a hair in my mouth while eating the popcorn.
It was a blonde and very fine hair and we figured it was from the hostess that seated us. It was so fine that I lost it before I could show it to the waiter.
The service was good until later when our waitress seemed to switch sections and she concentrated more on the people that were there to watch the UFC fight.
I had to ask one of the people walking around with a seating chart if she could find our waitress so that she could give us our bills.
Also they should have a way to scan our electronic Scene cards at the table rather than having to take my phone and scan it somewhere else.
Food was just average but expected this as we were going mainly for the after activities. Slow drink service and took 55 minutes from asking for bills to payment completed. Server was completely overwhelmed with our big group. Where was a manager to help her out?? Would not return.
Not a huge fan of the restaurant, service wasnt awful but wasnt great either. The food we ate was not worth the price we paid. Got the wrong plate brought to our table. Everybody was halfway done their meal by the time the right plate was brought to our table. Just wasnt an overall great exerperince.
Great food! Not very busy so the noise level was pleasant
Worst dining experience of my life. We were a party of 10 and the waiter acted like it was his first time serving. Forgetting items, wrong items and then when he went back to get my mother her proper food it took another 15 mins and the potatoes still came out cold. The rest of the table were completing their meals when hers arrived. Never once did he offer to give a discount or anything. It was my son's birthday and we asked if they could sing or do something special. He told us it was not policy. They did offer a complimentary Sunday but then he put it on my mother's bill. Along with the automatic 18% gratuity that is policy. When he came with the bill I asked if he could give her a discount which he had to speak to the manager about. Marta the manager then approached our table and was not there to solve any problems or truly listen to the issues. She did offer us discount cards for the games room? I told her no thanks we are not from the area and would not be returning after our awful experience. She then proceeded to tell us that she had to speak with the chef in order to give a discount. I found this particularly funny as she should have the authority being the manager. When I told her this she was not impressed. Finally leaving then returning with a scowl on her face and a throwing daggers through her eyes at me with a 50% off my mother's meal. Overall the food was tasty but they service and management was horrible. None of our party there that evening will be returning.
Terrible experience. From the attitude of the waitress to the quality of food. I will be sending a detailed email to their head office.
The rec room was great. Aside from the food the entertainment was awesome.
Horrible service. Waiting for 15+ minutes for menus. Chased down a manager to get one who blamed us for coming from the bar (the hostess asked us to wait at bar and then brought us to the table). Waited another 20 mins before flagging down a waiter to take our order who made a joke of us having to wait and again saying it was our fault because we had drinks so people would have assumed we had been served. We were not the only unhappy table.
The kitchen staff should’ve been staffed More appropriately to better handle multiple large groups of people. We waited such a long time for food. Our waitress was wonderful none of it was her fault. Another common complaint was the automatically charged Gratuity at the end of the night. $200 In tips for a table of under 20 seems a little excessive. We brought a cake but no one offered to sing happy birthday. Overall we had a great night, just minor suggestions to better serve others in the future!
It was great. We waited a bit for food. But overall. Good
This was our first time at The Rec Room. When we first walked in we thought it was too much like an arcade, however it was so nice to find the restaurant located at the back. The noise level was very low, food was delicious and service was outstanding. We would definitely go back.
The service provided by our waitor (Cameron) was outstanding and if it wasn't for this the experience would not have been as good as we had to wait 20 minutes for our food despite there being hardly anyone in the restaurant. Menu selection is good and prices reasonable. Great location for family or casual dinner with friends.
Food was good but an odd menu for something attached to a playground. Our kids are to big for kids menu but not much on the menu they were interested in.
