Located in the heart of the East Village at the top of the Moxy East Village The Ready is an all-season rooftop oasis perfect for after-work drinks, weekend revelry and private events. Collegial yet refined, The Ready at Moxy East Village feels like an escape from the New York daily grind. The eclectic décor (string lights, a vine-strewn mural, a bar made of plastic milk crates) and unique food and beverage offerings create a relaxed rooftop experience—like a coveted New York City backyard. The retractable glass walls and roof allow for all-season panoramic views of the East Village and beyond.

We are currently accepting reservations up to 30 days in advance but walk-ins are welcome pending availability.

The venue is strictly 21+. Valid ID required for entry.

The food at this bar was very good. It seemed pretty busy so the service was a little delayed but I completely understand that. The DJ/music was quite loud to the point that I could not hear my friends while we were at the table. Nobody was dancing and it wasn’t a dancing vibe on a Wednesday at 6PM so I’m not sure the music needed to be that loud in my opinion.

Such a fun vibe! The nachos were spicy and delicious, the carne asada taco is SO good, and the hibiscus margaritas were refreshing. The DJ was on point too- will definitely be coming back

The vibes were good. The only thing I didn’t like the drinks tasted too sweet or you could say it tasted like sugared water.

I booked a table for 8 people and even confirmed before to make sure that would be fine and there would be enough room. When we showed up, there were people sitting at our table. Totally fine, but we did reserve it. When they moved, there was only two chairs and a bigger chair that fits 3 regularly sized people, max. When asking the host, she said they were too busy and overbooked. Also, drinks cost an arm and a leg. There’s a bunch of other nice rooftop bars in the city that won’t charge $24 for a margarita or $14 for a seltzer. Totally disappointing considering it was a friend’s birthday. Better luck staying home, at least then you’ll get seating.

Super overpriced , our original waiter was super unhelpful and misinformed but the next waiter who helped us was way more helpful. Very crowded (granted it was cinco de mayo) but desire having a reservation booked two weeks in advance we were squeezed into a very small space. Very inconvenient to have to order via QR code especially when not everything showed up on there.

Perfect spot for a medium-to-large group happy hour. It’s often difficult to find a place that will accept reservations for groups of 12-20 without having to book an entire event space or private room, but the Ready Room easily accommodated our group of ~ 20, even with people arriving at staggered times (i.e. we didn’t need the entire party present to get seated). Great views, food and drinks with excellent service and a DJ spinning tunes. Highly recommend for your next group outing.
