Located in the heart of the East Village at the top of the Moxy East Village The Ready is an all-season rooftop oasis perfect for after-work drinks, weekend revelry and private events. Collegial yet refined, The Ready at Moxy East Village feels like an escape from the New York daily grind. The eclectic décor (string lights, a vine-strewn mural, a bar made of plastic milk crates) and unique food and beverage offerings create a relaxed rooftop experience—like a coveted New York City backyard. The retractable glass walls and roof allow for all-season panoramic views of the East Village and beyond.

We are currently accepting reservations up to 30 days in advance but walk-ins are welcome pending availability.

    Scene feels touristy, not local. Drink options are not great. Canned wine only and very overpriced. Bartenders were very good and fast. Tacos were good. Door guy was awful, was treating a 6 PM roof top happy hour like going to Marquis at 2 AM in 2004. Searching bags and commenting on what's in them? Asking everyone if they were carrying mace? Bizarre. Overall, it's definitely clear this is a Tao owned place.. would have been cool 15 years ago.

    Overall a very cutesy place and very vibrant. Bartenders are a little slow in taking care of people, they need to be more alert and attentive.

    Great spot! Glad we made reservations because it filled up quickly. The Happy Hour deal is awesome, both the margaritas and tacos were delicious.

    This place was Amazing For Brunch. Great scenery for Selfies, group photos and Instagrammable backdrops. Tacos and nachos are great. Drinks are on point a s strong. It was a brunch turned day party. Will definitely go again.

    Evening is highly recommended. Shaded tables are super limited so you will fry like an egg, and it ain’t great. $1 tacos are on a very hard, tasteless corn shell. Priced appropriately. Margs are fantastic.

    Celebrated my husband 30th birthday with a group of friends! The staff was amazing and the ordering process was so easy with the QR code system they use. I highly recommend this for place for a group celebration!

    We used to go for happy hour every Friday and enjoyed catching up with friends and talking about the week but last week we arrived to a full on club situation instead of a fun happy hour environment. The music was so unbelievably loud we couldn’t hear each other even when speaking directly into each other’s ears. We resorted to texting each other instead and left to a different bar where we could actually talk. When we requested they turn down the music volume they said people talking was too loud so that’s why they turned up the music but the only reason people were having to shout is because of the volume. Disappointed because we really loved being there under normal circumstances. Hope they go back to normal volume.

    This places is super cool, with great music and ambience. However, there was a very rude guy working for the place who first asked us to leave our table when we had a reservation, never apologized for it he said like ok I’ll check and then was taking our food when we were still eating. So made us feel very uncomfortable and decided to leave. Other than that a great place to have a good time on Friday night

    The space is really small. It was overcrowded for the space but if you have reservations you’ll be fine. Love the bar code to order at the table. Everyone pays for them selves which is great.

    Ordered Chicken Nachos- saggy and not so good chicken taste… Chips was so hard with the chips and salsa we ordered… Expensive cupcake that taste awful- blunt and crumbled up when you cut it…

    It was a very busy Saturday and was very crowded. Tacos were excellent for the price. The noise level made it difficult for us to talk to each other at the table. Someone threw a birthday cupcake across the room and hit the window. Unlikely to return.

    It was very expensive! The can of wine came with a stew and we had tii oh ask for a glass, they gave us a plastic wine glass. I ordered a regular size Gin and Tonic and it was $20.

    Food was amazing. Drink options for a bar was terrible. Why would any bar charge 30-55 for a basic margarita and charge you by the type of tequila then only have the most expensive tequila on the market. Tacos was on point though. Our waitress was amazing. She handled my needy family with finesse.

    Nice groovy place. A small selection of cocktails and drinks and a very limited selection of food. Music was good and the place was overall enjoyable. Good value for money. I do not understand why we had our ID scanned at the entrance as if we were boarding a plane - I found it a breach of our privacy.
