Located in the heart of the East Village at the top of the Moxy East Village The Ready is an all-season rooftop oasis perfect for after-work drinks, weekend revelry and private events. Collegial yet refined, The Ready at Moxy East Village feels like an escape from the New York daily grind. The eclectic décor (string lights, a vine-strewn mural, a bar made of plastic milk crates) and unique food and beverage offerings create a relaxed rooftop experience—like a coveted New York City backyard. The retractable glass walls and roof allow for all-season panoramic views of the East Village and beyond.

Disappointed. Waited 20 minutes for cold deep-fried tortillas and cold shredded chicken tacos patrons near us were sitting at dirty tables for 1015 minutes; service was poor. We didn’t finish our drink or food and simply left after paying on the app and service were better and employees more attentive and food fresh this place could be worth its value. Plus given that we were there for anniversary kind of just end of the whole night on a bad note

The $1 tacos for the happy hour menu were amazing. The margarita was also quite good. The first hostess on the street level floor was very helpful and friendly, but the upstairs hostess was rude and just a shade away from openly hostile.

Hi, I had a party there on Saturday with a large group and overall we had a great experience however we were never told that we only had the table till 3, and one of the waitresses (brown hair) was very rude to us and only gave us 20 minutes notice before we had to leave. We had brought a cake and only gave us 10 minutes to eat it and we had to rush out. The waitresses was extremely rude and the way she handled it was very unprofessional. We should have gotten at least an hour notice so we have time to do the cake. Or since they knew we had a cake they should have brought it out wayyy beforehand than 15 minutes before we had to leave.

Nice enough. Service was good, all servers & staff friendly, competent, & polite. Food was excellent, specifically the carnitas tacos. Great value during Happy Hour (carnitas is not part of happy hour) but the happy hour tacos were very tasty & filling. It’s a cute little place but we were expecting more of a view for being a rooftop place.

They only had the chicken and mushroom available but they were spectacular the mushroom taco coming with lots of veggies Service is order and pay on the phone after scanning a QR code, with two runners bringing you drinks and food It’s efficient and you don’t have to flag a server down Margaritas were whatever … $9 happy hour premix is a little steep but the $1 tacos made up for that The music is loud and there’s not a lot of shade But colorful atmosphere and affordable rooftop option if you’re in the city

We made a reservation for 12. When we got there, there was only enough seating for 9. I asked for more chairs and the worker refused to provide more seating and told us to stand. I suggested that be clear on the online reservation form and he told me flippantly “I mean, it’s a bar.” On top of that, drinks were super sweet and very basic for $20 a pop, and the food was just not up to par for the venue.

The happy hour is amazing. Bring your phone when you reserve a table because you order and pay for your food upfront. The tacos are what makes it amazing and you can’t beat the price for $1 each. The margaritas are ok, but they’re definitely watered down during happy hour . Overall, they’re a great value for $9 because you’re on a rooftop bar.

Great venue, views, vibe and service. Everyone was great. It's pretty small, so if you want to eat and be comfortable I would recommend making a reservation. Great time overall.

The view was nice. It was crowded and the music was loud, but not like in some places where you can’t even talk to the person next to you. The bathroom was decently clean and the attendant was nice. We had an issue with the website crashing several times before we could place our order, but once placed the food and drinks came very quickly. The drinks were very good, not stingy on the alcohol. We ordered the nachos with chicken and it was excellent.

Great place for the younger generation, very noisy on a Saturday night. We went looking for a relaxed rooftop bar, but unfortunately got a lively, young, packed bar. Looked like fun if I had been in my 20’s, I should have known when the bouncer checked our bags that this was a young vibe. Summary - great for the youngsters but a bit too noisy for us oldies!
