This is the place where chefs are putting 100% into creating a unique experience using the freshest ingredients and local suppliers. At The Razor Clam you will be able to find fresh focaccia made by our chefs, ravioli with hand picked crab meat and salmon, a variety of mouth watering pasta dishes and homemade burgers, steaks, risotto and great side dishes. The food was absolutely stunning. The best seafood Linguine I’ve ever had. Absolutely stunning. The garlic tiger prawns were also amazing. Service was good, however a little chaotic at times and some people waited for half hr to even get a drink. This didn’t affect us but can see how fracturing this can be. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely friendly service and even though I had just finished a long hot walk and looked underdressed, sweaty and tired, the lady managing the service didn’t make me feel uncomfortable about my appearance at all. The menu was great, I wanted to try everything! The food was good, tasty and plentiful. Some of us went back the next day for lunch, as we wanted to try more of the menu!

Overall a very pleasant experience and good food. Staff were very friendly and service good other than the sause to accompany the steak was obviously forgotten by the chef so there was a long delay before it arrived and the food was not on a hot plate so had cooled a bit when sauce arrived. Staff did go immediately to address the issue of the missing sauce though. Monk fish curry was very tasty. All food portions we saw were a good size. People sitting beside us were struggling to finish their meals. One waitress was very pleasant but dressed in a hoody and smelled strongly of smoke which wasn’t great. There are more tables upstairs which wasn’t obvious from the street view.

We had a lovely lunch at The Razor Clam, made truly memorable by our wonderful waitress, Michelle. She went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday feel special — from her warm, attentive service to the thoughtful little touches throughout the night. Her genuine hospitality was one of the highlights of our visit. The food was very good — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The menu has a nice balance of familiar comfort dishes and more refined options, making it easy to find something for everyone. One thing that surprised us was how quiet the restaurant was. Given the quality of the food and service, we expected a livelier crowd. That said, the calm atmosphere did make for a relaxing and intimate dining experience. Overall, The Razor Clam is a bit of a hidden gem, and thanks to Michelle, it was a birthday lunch we’ll remember fondly.

The food was excellent and the dog was allowed in which was a bonus. Staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend The Razor Clam

Good choice on the menu I felt there was too much white fish in the tagliatelle…. Portion was far too much Overall it was good

This restaurant was at the time of our visit No.1 for St.Ives on Tripadvisor, and i feel that our experience was so much at variance with this that it is worth doing a little bit to correct it. The food was carelessly and inexpertly produced. Mussels in ther mariniere seemed to have been cooked a very long time before, and 'monkfish' in the curry was so overcooked that i queried whether it was actually monkfish - which has an easily recognisable taste/consistency. The service was friendly but amateur. With pretty top-whack prices [£25 for the two dishes mentioned] calling it 'family friendly' doesn't excuse any of this.
