First time I have been and everything was perfect! Highly recommend!😊
We went there for brunch for the first time, we typically go for steak dinner however wasn’t disappointed. The chilakiles I ordered were very tasty, however the egg sandwich my husband ordered was very garlicky and had not other flavors the balance out. Other than that everything else was great! Still love the restaurant!
I’ve been enjoying having brunch outside on Sundays with my friends and is a perfect location
Disappointing. Poor service in an ambience not worth paying for
A sweet rustic space! Hands down the most amazing pancakes! Seriously, I think about those pancakes!!! Solid on service and presentation.
This is a great Covid "safe-ish" outdoor place to eat. I like going to places/building that have been reappropriated. Love eating in a building that has been reimagined. The Raymond is a beautiful place to eat, but the food is not well balanced. I find that the proteins are often lacking in flavor and the favors come mostly from the sauces which are overpowering. Most foods here are overly salty for my taste, but the portions are generally well done.
I have always felt that the staff here does a good job, not hovering over you, but always keeping an eye out for you. To me, it's a little bit like going to Disneyland. you love the environment, and you eat what's offered there because that's what's available, and it's fine food just not great food.
This place has the best happy hour for drinks in town. $7 cocktails made meticulously pretect.
First visit in a long time. Forgot how lovely the place is and the outdoor patio was just lovely. Food is nicely made and presented. Celebrated a birthday and this brunch was just what we wanted.
So good - love the seasonal specials and our waiter offered some great recommendations. The desert Soo LA was such a presentation surprise. Loved it!
Food was absolutely delicious. However, The staff seemed annoyed that we had 2:00 reservations. I made my reservations online but called to confirm them the next day and no one told me the kitchen closes at 2;00 for a mid day switch to the dinner menu, like the waiter claimed it did. We felt rushed to order and he seemed in disbelief when I said I made reservations for 2:00. Asking me, “really, you did?” After rushing to order I see another table being sat after 2;00 who also seemed like they were rushed to order. Annoying. The staff should get on the same page as the hostess and kitchen before being snarky to guests.
Dog friendly restaurant with ample seating
You won’t find better weekend brunch. Staff are attentive and quick.
Nice location for south Pasadena/Pasadena locals to enjoy a nice drink however, Food selection seems to be standard with minimum choices. Before pandemic the menu had great appetizers, and seasonal menu with more options.
One service complaint/recommendation for the restaurant: They wouldn't take or fulfill explicit requests for an outdoor table; could only seat us (even with advance reservation) at first table available, indoor or out. With Covid still a legitimate health concern, that policy doesn't make sense. Please update to enable advance reservation of an outdoor table, if that is the client's preference.
Great, historic restaurant with an eclectic menu. The restaurant offers to outdoor patios, one has a stone fireplace. Inside is quaint and dark. The building was a residence years ago. Located below street level the restaurant is quiet and romantic. Portions are small and menu is limited.
Birthday. Food and environment were wonderful !
We had a date
My disappointment was with the menu choices. Only two salad choices (Kale or Raddish) neither of which I liked. What happened to just a garden salad or caeser. No soup on the menu. And the side dishes were terrible. This not a cheap restaurant.
Offered a specials menu more than half was not available. Both sandwiches were also 86’d and some. Staff should let guest know when they present menu about items 86’d. Not professional
Some of the best cocktails in the city!
We had a great time at the Raymond. The food was excellent! My only complaint is that the decaf coffee smelled and tasted like it had been on the burner too long. I asked for a fresh cup stating how it tasted, but I am pretty confident she just brought me a new cup from the same pot.
This won’t deter us from going back again! We truly enjoyed our dinner. The Brown Butter cake was out of this world!
Service was poor. Not enough visits to our table. Felt totally ignored.
Unique setting, beautiful little courtyard. Delicious seasonal food. Try the Krafted rum brand there.
The service was a little bit slow but the food was worth the wait.
The Raymond is a wonderful, out of the way restaurant, with good food and service. They are friendly and professional.
Always surprising and always great cocktails. Cozy!
Cute little craftsman cottage slinging lovely cocktails out of their bar. For a finer dining restaurant I expected better service for a slow night (it took a while for someone to come and take our drink order, and empty cocktail glasses were left behind on our table taking up space). Dinner was good, but the steak was served with nothing -- just $46 for a filet -- that's it.
We have been going to the Raymond for the past year. We love it. They are fantastic. We girlfriend left her wallet. 3 weeks has lapse and they had her wallet with all her money inside. Fantastic people working there!
Quiet evening on the patio. Delicious cocktails, customized for us. Half chicken, steak, and fish were tasty and covered in delicious sauces. Fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned.
I get I'm big-boned, but the portions were way too small. I mean I can't believe just because I ordered seven appetizers for the table that it took eighteen minutes to arrive. Your customers are HUNGRY!! Plus I was completely fat-shamed given that the chairs weren't reinforced and the legs were HUGELY bouncy completely reminding me of my size and the resulting shame THEY PUSHED ON ME. Be better, bay area!!!
Furthermore, the portions were way too small for the prices. I mean I came here to EAT, not to nibble like I'm at a coffee shop. It's not just me, my companions felt the same way. I mean COME ON The Raymond, fork it over!
Desserts needed much more dairy. I'd go to some macrobiotic place if I wanted the kind of tasteless cardboard they suggest.
For the price I paid, I wanted FOOD, not garnish.
Lovely setting. Service was very good and the food was wonderful. Will definitely return for brunch.
It’s a very nice restaurant to have a family gathering or gathering with friends the staff are very friendly and helpful i love going there on weekends
Beautiful space. Good safety precautions. Excellent food. What a treat to get out.
The best cocktail selection in the US, IMHO.
A place where you can meet with friends, family, loved ones and feel you are at home.
Outstanding service, great ambience, easy to access, a hidden gem.
Good was ok. Service was slow. And no open table points were awarded even though it said I’d get 100 points at the time of booking
Awesome spot for families, a drink with your friends or just overall a cozy at home experience. Service is a bit slow-but very kind!
The food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. I loved the back patio.Tables were separated, with good social distancing.
First time at a restaurant in a year, I felt safe and the food was incredible. Nice way to Ré-enter the world! I highly recommend to all
Everything was excellent and I very much appreciate all the COVID precautions that they have taken. The ambiance was fantastic too ... I went there on a date and both my partner and I loved it.
Wasn’t as great as the many times we have been before. Too many last minute, non Covid related changes to our celebration by the restaurant. Of course we will go back for the food. Usually 5 stars across the board
