   The Raymond is such a beautiful historical landmark place. It’s an experience just being there. Very polite and friendly crew. The food… is perfection. We had a tempura appetizer that was to die for and we also had a ribeye filet also cooked to our medium specifications perfectly! And then…. We had the crème brûlée for dessert, which was just to die for again perfection! Did I mention my Negroni cocktail? How about the Chardonnay wine my cousin had with her dinner? so delicious what a beautiful restaurant it never fails to go to the Raymond! Also, the presentation of the food is beautiful and just right portions.

   Bad service from waiter. I was seated for ~20-25 min before he came by my table. I felt rushed the entire time I was there. Good food though.

   Table was good, food on the salty side and service could use improvement. Our food took forever and we asked for forks three times before we could begin eating. Waiter was nice but maybe overwhelmed.

   Went for our anniversary for brunch and had the eggs Benedict. Probably the best I've ever had. Wife had scrambled eggs and bacon. Excellent food, service and ambiance.

   Service was horrible - we were there with almost no one else and took them 20 minutes to come ask if we wanted something to drink, then they brought out one drink and forgot about the other. Did not check on us throughout the night either.

    This was our first trip back in a long time. We were hesitant because our experiences before have been very inconsistent - from very good to mediocre. Fortunately, this visit was again on the very high end and the food was exceptionally good. The starters (beet salad and ahi poke) were excellent and my husband's ribeye was cooked perfectly. My only complaint about the menu was that there now are many fewer choices for small plates and for such an expensive restaurant to charge an "appetizer" fee for bread and butter -- really?

    Came here for Brunch. Good food. But really, sub-par service. I had to ask for my first cup of coffee twice and still had to wait. Then the coffee came, but no creamer, which took its time also. The food was good, but not relaxing to constantly have to flag down staff. They were walking around--they just didn't stop by to check in on us.

    Food & service was great. We were here on a rainy Sunday for brunch. We were able to sit outside without being cold, thanks to the outdoor heaters. They also had it covered so as not to get rained on. Perfect setup!

    I love this house turned into a restaurant. The service was outstanding. We sat in the bar area which was quiet. Outside patio was a loud party, but it didn't disturb us. there is also a fireplace!

    We had outdoor patio seating for brunch on a chilly sub-50 degree Sunday afternoon. The heaters made it comfortable to eat outside (with our coats on). The food was excellent! We had scrambled eggs, bacon and the most amazing melt in your mouth crispy whole potatoes. We shared a serving of blueberry buttermilk waffles with pistachio cream (so good!!) and fruit plate. Topped it off with fresh brewed tea, freshly squeezed orange juice and a mimosa. Lovely laid back brunch!

    It had been a few years since we’d visited The Raymond … so glad that nothing had changed since our last visit. If anything, the place got better. Our food, drinks, and overall experience were amazing. From the mimosas and micheladas to start, to our pulled pork tacos and the dessert cinnamon roll, we were wowed. Looking forward to our next visit soon.

    First timers and was not disappointed at all. Hostess was gracious and made accommodations to seat us outside. Once we were outside, we realized it was a bit too cold, so the server made accommodations to seat us inside without any issues! The food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. A true gem of a place!

    The neighborhood gem just keeps getting better. Tremendous rotating menu, my see bass was fresh and cooked perfectly. The cocktails are always good enough reason alone to go whether hungry or not. Cold night but the main outdoor patio was plenty warm and comfortable.

    We had been looking forward to this dinner. Sadly, we were sat next to four men who had been drinking a long time. Six bottles of wine on their table. Two of the men appeared to be wine salesmen. They were loud as Hell and obnoxious. No regard for others. I felt like we were in a biker bar. What’s worse? Their server brought them yet another bottle. And then a glass of wine each on the house. Then the bartender came in and gave them each 4-5 ounces of whiskey “on the house”. Notwithstanding how rude this entire exchange was, it’s dangerous! Nobody knew if the two salesmen were driving or not. By the time we left they were slurring, yelling and clapping. Having shared the very bad news, the good news is that the food and service were and are impeccable. Hats off. Whenever we have a bad experience in an otherwise good restaurant, it always boils down to one thing: poor management. A good manager would never have allowed that alcohol-soaked circus. Better luck next time if there is a next time

    Ehhhhh…..I came here for my Birthday Brunch last year (2022) and it was out of this world. (see my previous review). This time my Birthday Brunch (2023) was “just fine”. Not horrible, but NOTHING special, especially for a $ two hundred and thirty $ bill for 3 people. (Includes tip). I/we won’t come back. Like ever. Service was non existent. BARELY came to the table and we kept having to ask other staff for napkins, lemons for the water, a round of drinks etc. On my way out of the bathroom I saw the server “staring” out of a window. “Far…………far away”………and he was having a rather peaceful moment. Anyway….it was NOT bad or horrible food by any means, but certainly not yummy enough to return at that price. Menu changed from last year. Last years curry dish was missed a lot this year. “Just okay/fine food” combined with “the lack of service” and the “price tag”, we will not return. The atmosphere however……is ALWAYS on point though! 👌 Bye, bye Raymond! ☹️

    Amazing restaurant. Ambience is so nice and romantic and comfortable. Service is always impeccable and the food is delicious. The cod and the ribeye are always on point. The cocktails are phenomenal. I had a date here and we stayed a bit over and very thankful for the staff for letting us stay a little later.

    Food was good. Service was very slow. There was a large party out on the table that our server was also responsible for. CWe sat for almost 20 minutes after we were seated before a server came to our table for a drink order. We were seated at a table in the enclosed porch. music was loud.

    Valentine’s Day. Scallop and lobster bisque were not hot, barely warm. Service was very slow. Had to keep asking them to refill drinks. Main was steak and fish. The fish was good. The steak was way undercooked and they were annoyed when I asked them to cook it a bit more. The busser tried to tell me that the steak only comes medium rare . Well it was very rare, but still they only cook it one temp? Valet was a bit rude when we exited. Overall very disappointing,

    The staff is very friendly and attentive. Love the interesting cocktails and wine choices. I enjoy the outside in the Summer but inside is nice and cozy on a cool night. You feel like you are dining in a close friends house.

    Food was fantastic. Outdoors was so cute. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I loved that they printed Happy Birthday on the menu and they gave us a fantastic table since we were celebrating. A little sad we didn’t get a birthday desert, though, since this is where we choose to celebrate. Will be back!

    The Raymond recently changed up their menu. A couple dishes — the sea bass and the roasted acorn squash — were very good. The Beef Cheeks dish is I’ll conceived and definitely to be avoided. They combined a fatty meat with a bad burnt rich mole and a piece of over-cooked pasta. There was no balance. At best, it could have been a side-bite to accompany a steak or other beef dish. The cocktails were great as always.

    First time there. Made reservation two weeks ago. Reserved the patio. Patio is dark/damp space (see pictures), so dress warm if temps are cool. Ordered fruit plate, cinnamon roll, omelet, and burger. Food was good. Not outstanding, but perfectly fine. Fries and cinnamon roll were our favorites. Other than hostess that greeted us, service was great. Multiple persons served our table and all were excellent. Attaching pics of the patio space

    We had a lovely brunch on the patio with outstanding service. The brunch menu options were interesting, playful and prepared perfectly. The brunch cocktail options were equally inspired. We look forward to our next visit.
