The Raymond 1886 offers inspired, seasonal cooking featuring the finest selection of ingredients paired with a diverse collection of wines from top West Coast and international producers and hand crafted culinary cocktails produced in our bar, 1886.

The restaurant is housed in the former caretaker's cottage of the storied Raymond Hotel. It is a slice of Pasadena’s historic past and carries on it's great traditions of hospitality and architecture with it's indoor cottage seating and outdoor craftsman style patios.

I returned to the Raymond because of nice prior experiences. Cozy and authentic, warm ambiance. Menu is fun and interesting, and of excellent quality. Fun unusual cocktail offerings.

Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious - from the Old Fashioned to the Wood Plank Veggies to the Pork Belly to the Roasted Duck .... I would come back for just any one of those. The menu is unique and impressive. I will continue to come here and enjoy myself to something delicious.

We last went to The Raymond about 5 years ago and were impressed. Sadly, the quality of the food has slipped. It's still pleasant and inventive, but the overall presentation and quality isn't quite up to the price. We still enjoyed it and our waiter was very good. My cocktail was perfectly poured.

Service was incredibly slow. 45 min to get our entrees. I ask the waitress where the food was and she told me it takes 25 minutes for the entrees to be served. That would be fine but 35 minutes had already passed when I asked.

I had not visited this fine restaurant in several years… I was aware that there was new ownership and it has been recommended to me by a friend. I was so incredibly pleased with every aspect of this dining experience the table was ready at the reservation time the service was top-notch and the food was amazingly good.

Absolutely great experience. The food was amazing. Kudos to the Chef!!! Who knew burnt carrots could taste so good. The Sauvignon Blanc was just OK and having it only filled ⅓ of the way was a little too little. Overall, the dinner was worth every penny!!

the setting was quiet- outside on a lovely day. lunch with friends was so nice however 2 of us got sick just hours after eating nicoise salad

Raymond continues to re-invent itself, this time we encountered the trendy Asian-Fusion type cuisine. While we love the ambiance and food presentation, the food itself is not on a par with the high cost. I have been to Raymond many times over the past decade and would go again, however, it is no longer on the top of my list for high end cuisine.
Their brunch, however, continues to be a top choice if you secure a garden table.
