Appetizers were off the charts, entrees were great but a bit of a let down - generally less complex and not as well executed as the small plates. Service was very attentive - high marks. Will definitely pay another visit!
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long, long time. Really exceptional!
I just don’t know how upper-end establishments always seem to run out of food. They ran out of the 1 dish my wife wanted. It was only pasta. It wasn’t even very late. Our reservation was at 8:00. Shouldn’t be too hard. Do we need to order days in advance??
We had the bread starter, grilled cobia, diver scallops, and side of polenta (my wife and I shared). All outstanding! Will most certainly return, and try something new the next time! The brews on tap were fantastic as well. Overall wonderful time, and the service was spot on.
We went for my boyfriend's birthday. Food and service were excellent. My only complaint is that, at the new location, outside seating can be problematic due to the noisy traffic. The old location was more enjoyable for outside dining.
We love Ravenous!! The St. Patrick’s day roast was so good. Their beer never disappoints.
Food, service, and ambiance were great. Definitely will be back.
Birthday dinner for relatives...never had a bad experience here!
Alex is a wonderful accomplished server. He made our experience over the top. The delicious short rib was anything but short. We had it as an appetizer for six people. The snip peas and the crab was great. We even ordered a steak. All items were shared by six. Sort of a rich man's tapas.
Although there are fish and vegetable items available - meat is the reason to go to this restaurant, just look at the name of it! Excellent food- we shared a 1 1/4 lb. short rib that was fabulous. Charcuterie board was excellent but when 4 people are sharing the kitchen should add more than 3 small pieces of bread without guests having to ask for more bread. Portions are generous, sadly no room for dessert.
Server was fine, but not very engaging.
Amazing, everything from the salad to the pork belly appetizer and great cocktails
A meal here is always an experience unlike most restaurants - a creative menu with fresh ingredients. Our lunch was great. The server was great.
And Steve is a first-rate, classy manager.
Loved every dish! Each entree just kept bringing new and wonderful flavors!
Loved the Beef & Beets! The blue cheese mousse and the salty ness of the capers gave the beef a whole new flavor. A great find!!
Our first visit to Ravenous Pig since their move to Fairbanks. The new space is really nice, bigger, and has a lot of parking available. We found that the parking was easier to get to if you’re going west on Fairbanks, since the restaurant is at that weird intersection. You need to enter the lot on the west side of the building; we went too for and turned around. ANYWAY - food was good, service was good, and though the restaurant remains pricey compared to our other go-to restaurants in town, we enjoy it with a gift card (yay open table!) or for a special occasion.
The food was delicious. The cheese plate was surprisingly sparce for the price but the choice of cheese was good. The jam/pesto was insufficient for the amount of cheese. I wouldn’t recommend it.
The pork porterhouse was large and delicious. This one I would really recommend. Very flavorful and plentiful especially for the price. Thumbs up!
The short rib was very flavorful and surprisingly moist. The bone was a massive dinosaur bone with a piece of meat on it. Delicious but the meat was disappointingly small for the price. I would not get this again.
Overall it was delicious but overpriced.
This restaurant was good, but the portions were small for the amount of money you spend. My wife and I spent $120 for two drinks, one desert, one appetizer and two moderately priced meals. If the portions were larger, we would have no complaints because the food is good and the service is great.
Birthday dinner for my dad, was excellent! Got a table for 6 in the semi- private room, was perfect. Thank you! Wonderful service, too!
Sadly not that impressed. We made a booking for 8:15pm, and got to the table 15 minutes later. We ordered drinks and just the main course as we were ready to eat... however the food arrived at 9:35pm, and we had ordered two of the lamb loin dishes, both of which arrived cold. These were sent back, while my family continued to eat theirs. 20 minutes later the two replacement plates arrived, and almost got me very irate as they could only be described as temped at best. By this time my son and I were so hungry as to not care, although I should have sent these back as well. My birthday treat was well and truly spoiled as we didn't effectively dine together... more in phases which was not the idea. The 'apology' from the serving staff was just as weak, claiming that the kitchen was 'backed up' on orders, but seriously if your promote yourself as a gastropub then you supposedly have the resources to manage the normal Friday night attendance. No hint of genuine sorrow, nor any offer of compensation.
Sorry guys, but not impressed at all, and would have caused a much greater fuss if not for my family to keep my cool.
Outstanding! The food was phenomenal, our waiter was excellent-very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Well worth the drive!
A great dining experience. Without a doubt, the best pork chop I have ever eaten.
We keep coming back year after year. Another wonder meal at the Ravenous Pig!
This was my first time at the Ravenous Pig. Due to my diet restrictions, I was excited that they had several brunch options for me. And, they have vegetarian options despite the name of the place. My servers went above and beyond to make me and my guest feel welcome. While there were a lot of people there for brunch, it wasn't loud due to the layout of the building. I will definitely go back.
Love the brussell spout apetizer! Oh and the "frittes" served with the pub burger (and the sirloin steak) was fantastic. Both were well seasoned and very tasty.
And for anyone who loves burgers...the pub burger is one of the best I've had. Cooked to perfection. Juicy, well seasoned, good garnish. Can't go wrong!
Busy street if dining outdoors; not so noisy inside.
We always love eating here! Love the new location!
We came here based on rave reviews and were not only NOT disappointed but understood why they are so highly rated. Every single server from bartender to wait staff was friendly and professional. Scott, the Somm went out of his way to give us recommendations of places to see and even other restaurants since we were visiting the area for a week. The food was incredibly good. A great cheese course to start and the most tender steak imaginable. Go!
Food and service = Perfect
The food is always delicious. It never disappoints for brunch. The chicken and waffles are some of the best around.
Delicious gastropub style food, great beers brewed in house.
Ravenous Pig delivers quality, unique food, great beers, fine service
I had been to this restaurant 2 years ago and had a fabulous time, was hoping for a similar experience and my expectations were over-delivered. We started with the pork belly and the charcuterie. We also went out on a limb and tried the ravenous pig old fashioned, it was beyond the bomb. We all couldn't stop talking about it, even my staff that didn't like bourbon loved it. The meals were diverse and over the top. The only way I could describe this restaurant to another is if you took a redneck that could cook all grandma and gramps favorite southern dishes, and brought them to a gourmet french chef, and Gordon Ramsay instilled quality into the menu, you would end up at the Ravenous Pig. My hats of to you guys!
Great place to eat and have a few drinks. We will be back soon.
The food was interesting and excellent although we couldn't understand why they didn't have any pork or BBQ options on the menu with the name "Ravenous Pig!"
Our favorite meal of the week! Wonderful menu selection with seafood options as delicious as the meat choices. The Ravenous Pig is a must for your visit to Winter Park!
Early evening dinner. Professional setting. Prompt efficient service by Adam.
Been a diner here several times over 5 years and it is beyond me why this restaurant received so many awards. It is a glorified sports pub with 1990's New Cuisine (Small portions with an artistic presentation) concepts thrown in. There is nothing special about anything except maybe the burgers -- they are served without any condiments and ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish must be asked for while the bun and meat cool down before the wait staff can make these staple items appear before you ... and they are not really that special. Steak & Shakes prime burger gives the Pig's burgers a run for the money. Speaking of money, cocktails are overpriced and the ownership seems to devote more attention to its beer making facility within the premises than the food prepared by the cooking crew. Making a salad is not brain surgery and the dressing on the ones ordered were bland, hardly noticeable and the lettuce leaves needed to be cut 3-4 times in order to get a bite-size portion into ones mouth. The waitstaff was pleasant enough, but really were doing on-the-job training. Probably our last visit to this overly lauded establishment.
We always visit The Ravenous Pig when we are in Orlando. Menu changes often and the food and service are fabulous. Must try their famous mouth watering burger as well as the truffle fries when you are there.
Great food, great service, great experience
Very accommodating with our multiple party size changes and birthday celebration :)
We have been going to this restaurant for 6 years and we have found nothing better than the food and service we receive when we visit. Love it and thanks for setting the bar so high.
