Shrimp and grits, cocktails and biscuits and gravy were a force to be reckoned with- as always!! My boyfriend got a Spanish shrimp dish (chicarana or something lol) and he did not enjoy it. This is literally the first thing we’ve ever had from here that we weren’t obsessed with! Still giving them 5 stars though because this dish still beats out anything else anywhere else...
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Waitress was very unimpressive. Two wrong orders and seemed annoyed. Management was awesome when they found out. Very apologetic and offered a gift card. Think it is a great place it was just an off night for the waitress.
Used to be more fun and more attentive in the old location. Seems like they hit it big, and they are slipping. Still good, not great anymore.
The scallops were great!
Now this place is more then something else. First they love to play with meat. Then they have a brick oven for their breads. They also have their own brewery in house. Oh yea they have two yes two of the best slicers in the world. I found this place just cruising the pages of Yelp Orlando. On my first visit I was so impressed with the slicer and their found love of my favorite meat Pork. I went here 3 times in the first week I was in town. They do everything right. Their charcuterie program is wow. The owners of the pig is hooked up with their neighbor Swine n sons. They have the chamber and the chefs at the pig make the meats. The wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed bunch a couple of times and I have brought several co workers and a boss here. I do like their dry aged steaks, their rabbit raviolis are almost beyond words. They know how to do chicken and waffles and when I got their BLTE for brunch last weekend I loved their thick cut pork lion. It was cured and cooked perfectly and had some jam up flavors. You can't leave without trying one of their house made play on churros they call pig tails. They also make some mean flan with house granola. I just really love this place and look forward to returning again and again.
Finally tried The Ravenous Pig after so many people told me I was missing out; and they were right! Dinner menu is limited but has some great options. My steak was absolutely perfect. Service was excellent and they have an awesome wine list. Will definitely go back again. Highly recommend!
We have been to the previous location for lunch and found it exceptional. However this time we went for dinner & was extremely disappointed. 3 of the 4 dishes were subpar and pricey for the amount on the plate - in particular; the diver scallops entree consisted of 3 small scallops for $32. In addition we had to ask our waitress 3 times to check on something and the restaurant at that time had only 1 or 2 other tables seated. Will not be returning.
First tried it 3 yrs ago while visiting Orlando and loved it. I made sure to return on my most recent trip.
I walked in and the place had my head on a swivel, the staff where attentive and knowledgable. The food was excellent well presented and the server was a great ambassador for the restaurant and the area.
We visited for birds and bubbles which happens every Monday. The meal was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and helped to recommend a good bottle of bubbles to go with our Nashville hot chicken. My wife and I plan to do this again!
Everything was delicious!! The Mojo Mac and Cheese flavors are reminiscent of an authentic Cuban sandwich and is my new favorite comfort food!! The lamb was cooked to perfection as was my steak.
We will definitely be back, time and time again!!
Love ravenous pig. Food and service excellent!
Every dish was better than the next. The flavors were incredible. Will definitely be going back!
Went for Easter Brunch. Loved the Biscuits and Gravy appetizer. The Bakeshop board appetizer was underwhelming and somewhat dry. Had the shrimp and grits entrée. It was delicious and very flavorful, a unique take on shrimp and grits. Service was good. We were seated immediately, even though we were about 30 minutes early for our reservation, and didn't feel rushed even though the restaurant was quite busy due to the holiday.
I was treated by the “greeters” as an unwelcomed guest to say the least
First she walked us around then back to the entrance - could not find the table . I had reserved on line & called to request a booth . Which I told them because they were not seating us at a booth
In a rather antagonistic way one of them told me that i did not speak to anyone since it showed that I made the reservation on line . So I explained again ! Then they asked me who I had spoken to & as I could not remember - 2 days prior ( sorry I am old & stupid I guess!) they looked at each other - lying again I suppose !
So we waited for a booth at the bar and one of the greeters spoke to the bartender pointing at us . Who knows why !
Surely not for a complimentary drink I can assure you !
We just had drinks and an appetizer at the bar and left - no desire to stay ! Thank you very much greeters !
Great place, great food, great wine! Excellent service!!
We continue to enjoy the experience of The Ravenous Pig. Great service—thank you Miller—fantastic food and drink, and a relaxing atmosphere made for yet another superb date night with this true gem of a restaurant in Central Florida/Winter Park.
We were seated over thirty minutes after our reservation time (7:45). While they did comp us an appetizer, we would’ve preferred dinner at our set time. Hostess was super rude and dismissive of us, when she should’ve apologized profusely. It was unprofessional! I don’t think we will go back. Food was quite salty and as though they’re “trying” just a bit much. I wasn’t impressed.
Phenomenal food fit for any foodie. The charcuterie and cheese board are top notch.
Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty. Salty.
Excellent!
We went to Ravenous Pig for my birthday. I can honestly say that it was the best meal I have had so far in this calendar year. Our server, Alex, was outstanding: funny, knowledgeable (about food AND wine), and hit just the right note of suggesting items on the menu without at all being pushy. I had soft shell crab with falafel and Kim chi. Two others in my party had rabbit and foie gras raviolo, and the other had grilled Cobia with risotto. We all shared the special of the day which was a large short rib. It was incredibly good. Alex suggested the perfect wine to pair with the food. We chose the pig tails for dessert...sort of glorified churros. They ended the meal perfectly. I can't recommend Ravenous Pig enough. You won't be disappointed.
The food was very good and done to perfection. The wait staff was excellent. Our waiter, Nico, was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Unusual menu with a variety of choices.
The food is prepared well but not exceptionally. They serve very small portions for exhorbitant prices. All choices are a la carte and to make a meal you must make at least 3 choices. There are other places close by with better food in larger portions for a more reasonable price.
Appetizers were off the charts, entrees were great but a bit of a let down - generally less complex and not as well executed as the small plates. Service was very attentive - high marks. Will definitely pay another visit!
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long, long time. Really exceptional!
I just don’t know how upper-end establishments always seem to run out of food. They ran out of the 1 dish my wife wanted. It was only pasta. It wasn’t even very late. Our reservation was at 8:00. Shouldn’t be too hard. Do we need to order days in advance??
We had the bread starter, grilled cobia, diver scallops, and side of polenta (my wife and I shared). All outstanding! Will most certainly return, and try something new the next time! The brews on tap were fantastic as well. Overall wonderful time, and the service was spot on.
We went for my boyfriend's birthday. Food and service were excellent. My only complaint is that, at the new location, outside seating can be problematic due to the noisy traffic. The old location was more enjoyable for outside dining.
We love Ravenous!! The St. Patrick’s day roast was so good. Their beer never disappoints.
Food, service, and ambiance were great. Definitely will be back.
Birthday dinner for relatives...never had a bad experience here!
Alex is a wonderful accomplished server. He made our experience over the top. The delicious short rib was anything but short. We had it as an appetizer for six people. The snip peas and the crab was great. We even ordered a steak. All items were shared by six. Sort of a rich man's tapas.
Although there are fish and vegetable items available - meat is the reason to go to this restaurant, just look at the name of it! Excellent food- we shared a 1 1/4 lb. short rib that was fabulous. Charcuterie board was excellent but when 4 people are sharing the kitchen should add more than 3 small pieces of bread without guests having to ask for more bread. Portions are generous, sadly no room for dessert.
Server was fine, but not very engaging.
Amazing, everything from the salad to the pork belly appetizer and great cocktails
A meal here is always an experience unlike most restaurants - a creative menu with fresh ingredients. Our lunch was great. The server was great.
And Steve is a first-rate, classy manager.
Loved every dish! Each entree just kept bringing new and wonderful flavors!
Loved the Beef & Beets! The blue cheese mousse and the salty ness of the capers gave the beef a whole new flavor. A great find!!
Our first visit to Ravenous Pig since their move to Fairbanks. The new space is really nice, bigger, and has a lot of parking available. We found that the parking was easier to get to if you’re going west on Fairbanks, since the restaurant is at that weird intersection. You need to enter the lot on the west side of the building; we went too for and turned around. ANYWAY - food was good, service was good, and though the restaurant remains pricey compared to our other go-to restaurants in town, we enjoy it with a gift card (yay open table!) or for a special occasion.
The food was delicious. The cheese plate was surprisingly sparce for the price but the choice of cheese was good. The jam/pesto was insufficient for the amount of cheese. I wouldn’t recommend it.
The pork porterhouse was large and delicious. This one I would really recommend. Very flavorful and plentiful especially for the price. Thumbs up!
The short rib was very flavorful and surprisingly moist. The bone was a massive dinosaur bone with a piece of meat on it. Delicious but the meat was disappointingly small for the price. I would not get this again.
Overall it was delicious but overpriced.
This restaurant was good, but the portions were small for the amount of money you spend. My wife and I spent $120 for two drinks, one desert, one appetizer and two moderately priced meals. If the portions were larger, we would have no complaints because the food is good and the service is great.
