The Raven Tavern

The food was good and kinda of unique. I had an excellent chicken pot pie. Our waitress and all the wait staff were very friendly and competent. One little nit is that it took a very long time to get our first drinks. I think the place has a bit of growing pains post re-opening.

Everything was amazing from the service to the food. We had asked for the door that we were seated next to be closed since it was super windy and it felt like we were outside instead of inside. Our waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. We love coming here because of the atmosphere and food.

First time was a success! Such a nice place with good food and a pretty location

This was our first visit and now it’s on our list for favorite. The staff is awesome, the drinks are amazing, the food is fabulous.

Everything was so good I asked for the manager to tell him that the server (Miguel) and food were great!

Management was rude. The girl at the front desk had an attitude.

They need professionals working there.

The weather was breezy so we opted to sit inside Nikki was our server/bartender she was amazing very attentive and engaging with our 13month old grandson.....five stars all the way

So we have been here several times. this time it took 20 minutes for waitress to take our drink order. When our food came I was charged for cheese on my chicken sandwich and never got cheese. Also chicken used to be a larger size. So portions are extremely smaller now. My mother ordered fish and chips. Used to get 2 large pieces of fish, now just one. Also it took 30 minutes to get dessert
We will not be coming back to this place for a looonnngggg time. And it wasn’t busy.

Went for brunch. Food was excellent. Portions were just right. Good value. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be going again.

First time eating here! We got the crosstown burgers which where amazing! The fry's where nice and crispy which was major points for me! It was such a beautiful day to sit outside. Will be coming back for lunch’s and dinners and probably birthdays! 10/10 would recommend

I really like their Shepard's Pie and their fish chowder. My wife had the crab cakes and she was less than enthused about them, but I tasted them and thought they were very good with really no filler. We sat inside near the bar and were comfortable there. We had good service, but the food came out somewhat slowly.

Food is amazing. Patio is nice. Just remember on the cool evenings to either dress really warm and bring blankets or dine inside. The heat lamps aren't enough because it's so close to the water.

The food was good and the service was great. It was windy and a bit cold so bring a jacket.

From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. We sat, at a high top, by the bar which was a very pleasant location. Nicole was not only the restaurant’s bartender, she was also responsible for taking care of the area’s food requests. Nicole was exceptional! We were in awe of her non-stop energy making sure everyone’s drink and food orders were perfect. Our meals were wonderful, but we would return to The Raven due to Nicole and the other members of the staff who took such care to provide excellent customer service. Thank you!

Everything was so delicious! We ordered many random items from the Happy Hour menu: chicken and steak hand pies, Brussel sprouts, onion rings, side salad & fish and chips. All were so good, but especially the hand pies!

Assigned Server did not take order, food came quickly but non alcoholic drinks did not come until asked and not by assigned server. Also asked for ranch dressing and not received. Asked server for the bill, returned quickly then had to wait a very long time for his return and process of credit card. Overall terrible service.

Great service and ambiance!

A reservation was made online. When we got there, they had no record of the reservation.
We were seated outside and a heater was lit. The breeze was strong enough to blow the menus. There were about fifteen people seated upwind from us, which caused a concern for potential COVID exposure. I understand that due to the pandemic, outdoor seating is mandatory. I suggest more barriers.

Fine kitchen. Great wait staff. Need more heaters to deal with chilly days. Otherwise, great and consistent.

Even though there was a cold wind blowing, the heaters were able to keep us comfortable. The views of the water and boats are beautiful from just about every
table on the patio.
We enjoyed the fish sandwich, with the house salad. The poppy seed dressing
was outstanding.
We plan to return!

Love this place. Staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is nice with lots of heaters for outside seating. If you can get the table by the fire pit!! I haven’t sat there yet but if looks fabulous!! Oh, and The food is delish too!!

The ambiance was beautiful and warm at night on the patio with the heaters. We had the chicken and steak pot pies and they were very good. The service was also very good. Thank you!

It was very windy on the patio. It took 20 minutes for someone to come light the heater only to have it go out. We got it re-lit and our waitress appeared after that. They were busy so we ordered everything together. My pizza came out cold them was remade but the crust got overcooked. I will try again but no pizza- maybe a sandwich or fish.

We love everything about The Raven Tavern! The onion rings are the best! Service was great on the patio, even water for my dog!

Husband has been wanting to try this place out. So glad we did. Food was incredible. 10/10 would recommend. Service was a little slow BUT the servers were incredible and kind.

Our new favorite restaurant in Oxnard. Friendly, great value. Get the Steak Fritas and the Raven IPA.

Great view of the harbor, COVID-19 safe with ample seating and distancing. The food is absolutely handcrafted delicious, served to your complete expectation or they make it right. Excellent service and a genuine spirit of wanting to make the visit fun and memorable. What a spot! Plus, being able to reserve a table makes this place a winner.

The food was really good. I ate the neat and mushroom appetizer pie. It was good but smothered too much in gravy. The heavy gravy took away the taste of the pie. Lighten up on the gravy tell them. The fish Sandwhich was good but very small. Unless you are a lite eater don’t order it. I was told to order the chicken sandwich. Apparently it has a good reputation. The Manhattan chowder was good but not much soup as it was socked full. It is not spicy hot. I suggest you get Tabasco to enhance it, otherwise it could be bland.

I do, recommend The Ravin Tavern. The food is good, I’m just a finicky eater. I think you/ll like it. Anyway, we need new restaurants.

We came here to watch the Super Bowl on their patio and it was a great experience. Delicious food and large flat screen TVs to watch the game.

This restaurant is a great place to relax, view the water, view sports on TV's,
enjoy great food and fresh air.

Fine place for dinner. Like their meat pies a lot, especially the Shepard's Pie. Very filling! I can also recommend their Fish Chowder and the Onion Rings for an appetizer. Very good service for our dinner outside on the patio.

$160 for four was a bit on the expensive side. Otherwise, everything was good.

Great food, seated with a view. Prompt and courteous service. Heated lamps kept us cozy! Great cocktail!
