   Food was great. Service was so-so but wait staff was very friendly. We were there for live music which was excellent fun, the band was great. It was very busy, and I’m sympathetic to that, but our waitress asked if I wanted a refill on my drink 3 times before she actually brought the refill or I’d have given a full 5 stars. I would definitely go again.

   Really good food, great service. Our only issue was the music. It was a good cover band but so loud that at times conversation was impossible.

   We visited this local restaurant mainly for one of our favorite entertainers, Teresa Russell, and the fabulous surroundings a the marina in Oxnard. I had a favorite, Steak and Mushroom Pie(which was not as I remember it), my husband had a house salad with chicken that was OK but not as he remembered it, and we tried a new dish Chicken Wings(you can get them boneless and we will in the future) which delicious and a generous portion.

   We celebrated Easter Sunday at the Raven with our best friends. The buffet was exceptional. There were so many choices from an omelette bar, to soup, to breakfast favorites, to a full bagel with all the fixings. The sweets table was beyond description. Fresh pineapple, strawberries, melons, grape let alone the yummy pastries and cookies. The martinis were smooth and perfectly blended. Connor was our bartender/waiter and could not have provided better service. He made the already special occasion even better. We highly recommend The Raven for any outing, be it simply sitting at the bar and watching sports, or bringing the entire family to share a meal knowing that the food and the atmosphere will be perfect. Thank you everyone at The Raven for making Easter morning such a glorious event.

   Our server was a real high point of the lunch. The food was really good, and we had the butter cake which was so great.

   The Raven is one of our favorite places to go for excellent food, lively atmosphere, and wonderful libations. During football season, it is simply a blast to sit at the bar and watch football with other fans. Yesterday Ashly went out of her way to provide exceptional customer service. The martinis were superb as well as the non-alcoholic blueberry mojito. As always, the lettuce wrapped vege burger, turkey club with French onion soup, and flatbread pizza were delicious. We look forward to visiting The Raven in the very near future for another good time and yummy deliciousness!

    Our party of four dined on the patio because each couple brought a dog and we wanted to enjoy the sunset over the harbor. We took a table next to a gas fire pit… and the staff set up a propane tank pole heater for us as well. We ordered a variety of tasty cocktails and half a dozen dishes off the happy hour menu. All of them were beautifully prepared and delicious. Our waitress Erandi was as attentive, patient and sweet as could be… and hostess Arianna was also quite helpful. As we left around 7:00 pm, we could see the dining room and bar were packed with a TGIF crowd. So The Raven Tavern Is clearly a favorite place with locals. i heartily recommend this establishment for indoor or outdoor dining… and its happy hour for excellent values!
