   One of the worst experiences in a long time. Got there and found a sign saying the valet was full. Another sign said additional parking in the garage, there wasn’t. Why they didn’t have someone outside directing traffic and help guest park is beyond me. Once inside things got a little better. The hostess greeted us and sent us to our table. The server was polite but told us we couldn’t order appetizers unless we had decided on our entire order. Being hungry and frazzled from the joys of their parking experience I explained we just wanted to order drinks and appetizers first and then we’d figure out the rest. 5 minutes later a manager arrived and told us that this was unacceptable to the chef. I’m sorry who is the customer here. Since when do chefs get to dictate how we get to experience our meals? By this point we were so over the indifference Jockey Hollow was showing its guests that we canceled our drink orders and walked out. Fortunately the story ends well. We walked a block to one of Morristown’s best restaurant (South and Pine) sat out on the deck, had great food, excellent service and none of the attitude of Jockey Hollow. Now I understand why my friends no longer go there. Good luck to them

   My husband and I went to the Rathskeller on Saturday for a rare night out without our kids. Atmosphere was cool, although I wish it was better sign posted to get to the Rathskeller at Jockey Hollow. Overall, the biggest disappointment was the wait time. We were there for over 2 hours and our meal consisted of 1 round of drinks (draft beers, so not exactly complicated!) 1 appetizer, 2 sides and a split entree - not a 2 hour meal. Our food arrived in an unusual order and was mostly lukewarm or not cooked particularly well. We did appreciate how friendly the waiter was - he apologized a couple of times for the delays, and the manager did as well.

   Took almost 4hours to get our order taken and the food served. When the appetizer came, they sent it to the wrong table. The wrong table touched it and said it wasn't theirs, the server still brought it to our table after others had touched it. Bad experience all around. Main course was good.

   Good food and fun atmosphere. Service was very slow (waited about 20 min before ordering). Wasn’t very busy, but staff was often gone leading me to think they were also supporting one of the other restaurants in the building.

   Service and attention was good. Seated immediately, but most seats are wooden benches that get uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so. Great variety of imported beer. Good variety of meal choices and prices overall in the $$$ range, but we ordered off the German food menu which was cheaper, and while food quantity was generous, things like the perogies, brats, and schnitzel were bland and reminded us of public fair food, so quality was just average.

   Great place for high end seafood, beers and sports. Jazz band was great to get the place hopping.
