The Rail Trail Flatbread Co., celebrated its grand opening on 12/12/23, marking not only a milestone in Milford's downtown revitalization but also a nod to the original Hudson location's success. Built in a meticulously renovated former bank that features a spacious restaurant and bar, outdoor patio, and upstairs events space, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The Milford location reflects a two-and-a-half-year renovation effort, preserving historical elements like the century-old clock, vault door, and exposed brick walls. The open dining layout encourages interaction, adorned with family photos for a homey feel.

Though famous for flatbreads, Rail Trail boasts diverse offerings, each component is made in-house. Notable flatbreads include "Fig & Walnut" and "Mexican Street Corn," alongside the popular "Primo Pepperoni." Appetizers like "Hot Tots" and "Sesame Cauliflower" showcase Rail Trail's culinary creativity.

This was our first time at Rail Trail but it won’t be our last. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. Our drinks and food were excellent. The zucchini appetizer was exceptional. Shout out to our server PM. She made sure our first experience here was positive. (It was!)

We arrived an hour early for our reservation and they were as accommodating as they possibly could be on an extremely busy Saturday evening. We were seated in about 30 minutes from arrival when they were quoting an hour wait. Our server was outstanding with information, recommendations and even accommodating a drink error we made without charging us. We had a Caesar salad that was delicious and the nachos were probably the best we've ever had. Homemade chips! Incredibly busy and a bit noisy, but this is definitely a terrific place for a casual meal. Hope to be back soon.

This was our first visit to RTF. We will be back very soon! The food was incredible! Our server Arthur made the experience the best that it could be! He was super knowledgeable, attentive and extremely professional! We can’t wait to go back!!

Waiter was A+, filled with lots of tzatziki, Coca-Cola refills, and laughs. Pizza is always bustalicious and the fries made me feel right at home at a carnival. Never get rid of the fried zucchini and tzatziki appetizer. Stay true, stay you. See you next time. Xo

Server was not attentive. We were not greeted for 10 minutes. We were not brought water. Our drinks took crazy amount of time to get to us. The picnic tables are disappointing. They need to elevate their outdoor seating.

We have been to this location a dozen times and always have a great experience. Tonight the food was great but our service was let’s just say not great. Our appetizer came to our table before we had our drinks. The server who took our drink and app order said she and another would be taking care of us. The guy came to our table and asked if he could take our drink order we said another server already did. He saw our app and drinks delivered and asked for our dinner order which we put it in with him. A team Member delivered our dinner, not either server asked how are meals were, I had a beer and my wife and daughter ordered a Saratoga sparkling water. We had 16 wings as an app a large and two small flatbreads knowing we would have most to go. Our drinks were empty never offered or saw our service “team “ to ask for a refill. I had to ask another team member for to go boxes as we watched our server pretty much neglect us until he saw our leftovers boxed, he ask if wanted dessert we declined, he dropped the check and another team member ran my card. We loved the food as always but this visit was a little disappointing for a Friday prime time 6 pm reservation as far as the service was concerned. This is probably my 4th or 5th review of your location.

Service and friendliness of the staff were wonderful, and they accommodated my request for a flatbread that was half Mexican street corn and half loaded baked potato -- something our server recommended when I couldn't make up my mind! Both sides were delicious. One thing I should mention is that the place is very noisy! Recommend that you go on a non-weekend night if you want to hear yourself talk.
