Join us at The Rag Trader, which harkens back to the romantic nostalgia of a forgotten time. A time when neighbors gathered to share their stories over good food. A garment factory for 75 years, The Ragtrader is a love letter to the generations of those who worked creating clothing for the world.
Executive Chef Justin Ottervanger has created rustic and elegant dishes that showcase the restaurant’s relationship with local farms and purveyors—speaking to time-honored techniques with a focus on offerings best shared amongst friends.
Kombu Salted Wontons/Scallion/Sesame/Soy/Macadamia Nuts/Cucumber/Avocado
Gigante Bean Salad/Herbed Labneh/Goat Horn Chilis
Togarashi Wonton Chips/Sesame/Tamari/Ginger/Red Onion/Avocado
Muy buen ambiente, la comida no sobresale pero está bien, para mi gusto en Estados Unidos los mozos no saben, no están capacitados o es por un tema de idioma que no saben explicar cómo es el plato.
El lugar lo recomiendo
Great spot for all types of occasions. Very unique for nyc. Def will be back
Nico is amazing!!! He was so great to us and let us eat in the van
Went to a show, and had dinner. Fantastic!!
Burgers came back raw and the Benedict was very misleading and disappointing. For the price it wasn’t worth it. Bottomless was nice.
Great bar and atmosphere nice place to meet friends and colleagues delicious food and strong drinks
Such good food, I tried the Vegan Burger, Very good for it not being beef. Definitely would come back and my guests agreed.
Intimate atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating, excellent service, and delicious drinks. Food is good, but nothing to write home about.
Excellent service and great show! Kate, our waitress, was friendly and provided exceptional service!
Fun place, foods good at a good price point. Did not realize that if you want to go downstairs after dinner youll need another reservation
The waiter, Ryan, went above and beyond. Best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Such wonderful staff. They care about your experience. The food and drinks were extremely satisfying.
Great decor and ambience. Food and drinks very good. Service was perfect. Our waiter Lou was super nice and helpful with the menu recommendation.
I would definitely recommend it for freinds’ gatherings or date.
Went on a Monday night, the atmosphere was dark and romantic. Great service and great selection of menu items.
Nice food, nice service, great value. Solid casual option in Midtown Manhattan.
Everything was great, the whole “bottomless brunch” ending at 1:30 though is probably why it was easy to get a reservation. Food took a while to come out
Luis was great as our server. The food was good. Drinks were also good. Seated us about 20 minutes after the reservation. Overall good time.
Everything was great except the noise level. Between the talking/shouting and music... not sure I will be going back there.
We went on a busy weeknight and sat upstairs in a van with a table for 4 inside. It was funny and unique. We ordered the attium pizza, cauliflower fritters, Brussels sprouts, and a few other apps plus dessert, and We liked everything. Service was good too.
Great place. Great space. Great service. Will recommend and return.
A quiet hidden gem near Herald Square. Well curated menu, whiskey list, and decor.
Thanks Rag Trader for making my dinner night out special. I was given a great table through my OpenTable reservation. The service was friendly and paced out nicely. My new neighborhood favorite restaurant.
Loved the decor and the food and drink selection. Roomy dining area and great service
Really enjoyed brunch here! Loved the different selections of mimosas. Food was delicious and service was great. Looking forward to coming back.
I cannot say enough great things about this hidden gem. Our experience this morning left us feeling happy, satisfied and looking forward to our next visit! The food is excellent, the service even better and you can’t beat their bottomless Punchbowl! Thank You!
Loved the ambiance and the staff was so accommodating and nice.
This place is always a reliable choice for a great time with friends or family.
We were a group of nine this time.
The service was excellent, and the food was as good as usual.
I usually have the crispy skin salmon with black rice in green coconut curry, which is always a good choice, but this last visit, I got the hanger steak, which was cooked perfectly medium-rare, as requested, and very flavorful, served with excellent French fries.
The Caesar salad was great, and large enough for two to share as a starter, and the crispy Brussels sprouts in sweet chili sauce were delicious.
We shared a bunch of desserts, and they were all good.
The drunken doughnuts were great, as was the sticky toffee pudding, but my favorite was the dark chocolate ganache tart.
And the bartender really knows how to mix a classic cocktail.
Try this place.
You’ll be glad you did.
The hanger steak pizza and fried chicken sliders were delicious. Fun drink menu as well. Will definitely go back!
Great location to MSG. Our waiter answered all our questions thoroughly and timed dinner so we
could make it to our show. The atmosphere was cozy and noise level was minimal. The food wasn't chef level but satisfactory. Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend this restaurant.
Such a good vibe with the decor and lighting, food was great
Enjoyed our meal
Exelent food, bar service was great. Ruth was great!
Nice ambiance, very good service, but wish the lunch menu was more extensive.
The noise level was deafening. We were seated upstairs and could not hear each other due to other tables yelling at the top of their lungs. Nice restaurant, but the clientele is young and not used to using their indoor voices.
Great for a lunch or dinner near dreaded Time Square. Cocktails are fantastic and the food is solid. Also really nice atmosphere.
Good food and atmosphere, excellent service - but acoustically bright.
Cool space but food was average.
Wonderful experience. Will be a regular for me
The cauliflower fritters were not cooked
Sunday brunch. They have a boozy option but we didn’t do it. The food is better than decent and I’d go back just for the fact that it’s one of the few places I’ve found to get brunch where you 1. Don’t have to scream over crowds or throbbing music to hear your tablemate 2. Don’t have to be a contortionist to fit into your seat because they’ve crammed so many tables in. Prices are commensurate with the lame Herald Square area. I’ll be back.
