What a treat for us. Over 300 whiskey offerings then great smoked and glazed delicious wing appetizer to start. Opted for the French Dip with raw onion vs grilled which was right on point. Could not stop eating the fresh cut skin on fries. Ambiance in the bar was outstanding while enjoying Sunday evening football. Can't wait to come back for another stay. Such a great relaxing fabulous stop.
Great Cuban and Cajun pasta. Huge bourbon list. Great live music.
I ordered the Salmon which was very good. My friends ordered gamblers and another sandwich. They all said their meal was fantastic. For Pros: dinner great, live music was awesome and decor is masculine m, warm and overall nice. Cons: Skinny Margarita was so terrible that I had to return, server brought out checks without asking about desert. We asked another server, who promptly apologized and took our order for blueberry cobbler a la mode. 20 minutes or more later, we all received apple cobbler a la mode, which honestly was not good at all. We inquired, then another 20 minutes later, we received what turned out to be warm blueberry compote in a to go container.
Service was less than ideal. Food was ok
Overall great experience. Definitely have two top tables too close together. It’s awkward and distracting. Beautiful place. Food was pretty good. Craft cocktails way too pricey. I had a cucumber martini that was $15. My husbands hamburger and fries was $16. That’s a bit absurd. Overall, I’d go back
First time back to the Campbell House in a long time and I'm glad I did. If you haven't seen it long time you won't believe the transformation it has undergone. Let's start with the appetizers. We had the deviled eggs and beer cheese. The deviled eggs are delicious. We should have ordered two orders of those. The beer cheese is one of the better beer cheeses I have had in a restaurant setting. We also some really good meatball and rice soup. Think chicken and rice without the chicken. Had to order it due to it being brought to another table and as it went by the aroma smelled so good. For dinner we had the French Dip and Salmon. Both were so good. Glad we came and we will be back.
We love this place! The atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff are always friendly and the service is on point. The food is outstanding! The live acoustic music makes for great time!
First dinner, we split the Caesar salad and burger, all were very good.
We enjoyed our casual dinner at the Rack House. The service was great and the food was very good.
Service was outstanding, food was great, and the ambience was awesome.
Ate here three nights in a row while staying at the Campbell House. Each night my service was above and beyond, from the host station to my waitress to the bartenders and all others in between. Food was consistent and I swear only got better each night. Highly recommend for the expansive bourbon collection, the food and most of all…the great service.
Overall good. The live music was great but a little loud to talk. There were a few people smoking cigars “outside” the garage door but still very close to the dining area. We were unable to enjoy our dessert due to the smoke irritating my allergies. Had to end out date night early due to having issues breathing.
Our dining experience at The Rack House last evening was exceptional. We all ordered something different and everyone was happy with their meal. The service was excellent and will definitely return!!
Food was really good! The collard greens amazing. A really nice atmosphere. Laid back. It was great!
Great food, great service and fun live music!
The service here was absolutely phenomenal. All of our needs were met promptly and kindly. The entire environment at The Rackhouse Tavern was welcoming and the attention to detail was beautiful. This is the perfect place for a casual dinner or if you’re looking for a more upscale experience. I was very impressed with the food, drinks, service, and how this establishment could so easily fit for a casual night out or a fine dining experience!
I really loved my first experience at Rackhouse Tavern! The food was scrumptious, the servers (Andrea) was great, Shaun the bartender was amazing & a special thanks to Ricky the restaurant manager.
I observed the manager working in many roles that night, from host to busboy. He did a great job keeping everything flowing & definitely led by example.
The ambiance & live music was awesome.
I will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a lovely evening!
Comfortable environment. Server helped us celebrate a night out with champagne.
Great food and atmosphere!!
Another great experience at Rackhouse. We were in a bit of a hurry and the server was very understanding and efficient. Food and drinks were both excellent. This is becoming one of our go-to spots!
Would have rated 0 of 5 Stars, looked like a nice place. However after being seated we waited about 10-15 minutes, never saw anyone from the restaurant staff to take our drink or dinner order. We left and took our party somewhere else. We’d recommend Malone’s Steakhouse for excellent dinner, drinks and service.
Great outdoor seating; delicious food and beer offerings, superb service.
Had a reservation on patio and was sat in complete darkness. From there it continued to go downhill. We sat for over 20 minutes and NO ONE even said hello much less bring a water, a menu, ANYTHING. We flagged a waitress down finally and she Sid she’d been sat the entire patio SOLO and that she was overwhelmed. She apologized and offered to help us but we decided to leave and not add to her stress. A W F U L. If you’re short staffed -don’t take reservations. Stop putting profit over customer service.
Needs more waiters. Music was very loud for a small place. Drinks were very expensive
Food was good- service was good- beautiful atmosphere- would definitely go back.
My husband and I were out on a much needed date night and our sweet waitress brought us complimentary champagne to celebrate! We were very impressed with the service but even more pleased with the food and drinks! We recommend the Royal Old Fashioned and the Beer Cheese starter. We ordered the blackened cat fish and the pork chops for mains. We basically licked our plates. Everything was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. Can't say enough good things. We will go back as our first visit was a real treat! Only wish we would've taken pictures.
The food was very good, staff was friendly, and even on a busy night appetizers and entrees were brought to the table very quickly. Food was priced great. Quality restaurant will return in the future!
We sat outside where it was quieter. We enjoyed our meal and drinks
Our dining experience at The Rack House was amazing. The atmosphere and decor was very “Kentucky” which we loved. The service could not have been more friendly and on spot!! The appetizer of red crispy potatoes we tried was amazing!! Our burgers were cooked to perfection. We give The Rack House 5 stars and a big thumbs up!!! Mike and Marilyn Love
My husband and I finally checked out the rack house and was very impressed! It is beautiful inside and there was live music. Then the food was excellent as well
Each person at our table had a different menu item and thought their food was delicious. The servers were friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere was relaxing and the perfect place for our group to meet and catch up. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
Dinner at the Rackhouse Tavern was a great experience. The staff was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable in providing recommendations for meals as well as cocktails. There was also live music in the restaurant. The atmosphere was really great. I will definitely return.
Sat outside and enjoyed good food and good service. Would go back.
Overall was awesome experience. Will definitely dine again.
Steak was way over cooked. Music was to loud to here anything els. Really cool spot though. Def go again for brunch
Good food and service. Enjoyed eating food local and within the state of Kentucky.
Atmosphere and food excellent-great bourbon selection!
This restaurant is located in The Campbell House hotel.
We had reservations for 7:15 and were promptly seated outside. When we finally received our meal, it was pretty good! (We were not served until 8:30, which is quite a long time from 7:15.)
I ordered a Caesar salad and added salmon, which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Husband had the pulled pork sandwich, which he said was good. Potato broccoli soup was over seasoned (too salty) and the server was kind enough to remove it from our bill.
There was live music inside the Friday night we visited.
Nicely done, Rackhouse! We enjoyed a number of nice menu selections and a great drinks menu. The servers were on point, friendly and knowledgeable about the selections. We weren't expecting live music, but it was a great addition to the evening.
As locals, we'll definitely be back!
