The R&J Lounge and Supper Club
Excellent food and service. Fun place. Very ecclectic
The food was great, the ambiance was less than desirable, we had glasses of water that had lipstick on the top of the glass, I will not come here again!!
Very good and perfect setting for a date or evening with friends.
Wonderful bartender, waiter, and atmosphere. Love this place!
THE CHICKEN FRY and GRAVY IS GLUTEN FREE!!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!
Food was uneatable!! Every order had so much salt on it that you couldn’t eat it!!
I also requested a specific table and they took us to a back room that had no windows!!
Excellent drinks and food. Only downside was very small table for 6 of us. But we managed.
We loved our dinner at R&J! The gluten free options were amazing!!! We will definitely be back.
Service was excellent with great mixologist. food was OK, not anything special. Would like to try their Sunday Brunch menu sometime
Wed been here before so thought it was a good bet...unfortunately, nothing was as I remembered it. The food was okay, but not hot, and pretty salty. There was a drunk in the room who inexplicably shouted the f-bomb at one point. The server was personable, but hard to find. We probably won’t go back...there are better, quieter restaurants around!
Great, but don’t tell anyone. We would not want to have to stand in line to get in, would we?
We came to take advantage of Mother’s Day brunch. The menu was not as imaginative as I had hoped. Pretty typical options, eggs and biscuits etc.
Service was almost too attentive. We joked that we had 3 to 4 servers. They kept asking us the same questions.
Still had a very nice time.
The staff ROCKS! The cocktail menu is wonderful! The food was so yummy and delicious! I highly recommend this fun establishment!
It was perfect. No complaints at all.
We arrived and they had a mix up with the reservation. They put us on the patio next to a smoker. We explained that we don’t want to be around cigarette smoke and left before water was brought to the table.
A very good find in okc a bar that met our likes in food, drinks and service. Well definitely recommend to our friends when visiting.
Delicious food cooked and served by people who actually want to be there. Very hip-yet-approachable atmosphere. I love this place.
There weren’t enough servers on and the service was poor. Everything took a very long time to get. Order bacon on my burger and never got any! I won’t be going back!
One person working during the Sunday brunch. Complete waste of time and money.
There was a loud group next to us which did not help our experience. They should have been downstairs in the bar. The food was just ok.
Food was good. Very cool place. Unfortunately, service was poor.
Brad and his staff are amazing! The food and cocktails are top notch. R&Js is a hidden gem in the heart of OKC!
We enjoyed our evening. Our waitress was great and the drinks were great. It’s a cool place. We were there for Valentine’s Day with another couple. Special menus with steak and lobster thermidor were excellent. Two ordered the Coq Au Vin. They did not really enjoy it. But will definitely go back.
Valentine’Day. Excellent service, food and drinks were great!
If you are looking for a cool Tiki Bar with a 70's vibe, the R&J Lounge and Supper Club is for you. My wife and I went to the Club for a quick dinner before a Sunday evening show. We sat in the bar area and ordered some cocktails to begin. I had a Vieux Carre and my wife ordered a Blue Hawaiian. The Vieux Carre was very good, but it is traditionally served on the rocks in a rocks glass, while mine was served neat in a coupe glass. My wife's blue Hawaiian, however, was the bomb, not surprising considering this is a Tiki bar. Later I had a Mai Tai that tasted like lemonade with vodka instead of rum with pineapple.
We had a very good appetizer, Cheesy Crab Toast. Texas toast is combined with Muenster Cheese and Crab. There were some scallions or green onions and chili seasoning also. It all comes together very nicely. On the suggestion of another diner, we had the beef stroganoff. It tasted like the beef was actually a pork sausage. The noodles are a thick egg noodle. I actually make my stroganoff with pork also, so I enjoyed it. It was somewhat scant on mushrooms, which I like to use a hearty, meaty variety in mine. Lastly, was a crème brulee to finish. It was also very nice, but not particularly memorable.
Service was absolutely outstanding and the venue is fun. Overall a nice place for drinks and appetizers.
Amazing service and food!
We've been to R&Js before and, honestly, had a better experience the first time. We love the vibe there, as well as the food. The food was excellent, as before. The relish tray was great, my trout was very good and my husband enjoyed his Coq a Vin. The g&ts were perfect. Service for everything was friendly and spot-on. What really took away from the evening (and it wasn't the fault of the restaurant) was an extremely loud table in the corner of the lounge. There were ten people in a corner booth and a couple of them were, well...just LOUD! I write this as a cautionary tale as we learned much later that there is a dining area, including a private den upstairs. We should have asked for that and it would have been much more pleasant. We expect a lively experience in the lounge at R&Js, but this time it was way too much. The dessert, creme brûlée, was meh. But, the old fashioneds were everything I've been told they were. Incredible.
R&J is one of our favorite date night spots. The food, cocktails and service are always exceptional!
It was fun!
Drinks were to small, ridiculously small! Someone I was with told me they are smaller than they used to be. Also, I had the trout and it was dry and terrible. Also, their drink menu is extensive but it should describe what is in each drink has in it, we had to google the ingredients! It doesn’t matter though, will not return!
Great place for a group. Owners were very accommodating service was great. We enjoyed their drink menu. Food was good as well. It was very fun really great place we sat in the bar and would do so again!!!
Everything started out great, it was our second time there and the first time was great. Maybe this time was a fluke deal but all of our food was way over cooked and i'm not being a picky person about a few degrees over. it was tough to eat and then our service just stopped towards the end of our meal. No more refills and we waited about 20 minutes just to get our tab.
I love the retro, 60s supper club, feel of the place. The retro drinks are awesome! The wait staff is friendly. Our waiter was a little slow getting back to us, but it wasn't too bad. The food was good.
Because of my love for Chef Russ Johnson I had high expectations for R&J. First off, it was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves. The table behind us was screaming and obnoxious, until another patron took it upon himself to ask them to be quiet. Management should have been the one to do this!! Secondly the food, I was disgusted DISGUSTED by the Bernaise sauce that was served with my steak. It was broken and obviously had been sitting in the kitchen for most of the night. I asked for a new one and the server said he didn’t know if more was available. What came out looked and tasted like mayo. Don’t tell me that’s bernaise...I e traveled extensively through France and Scandinavia and know a bernaise. Thirdly, my husbands steak was undercooked, requested medium well and got rare, he had cut through the steak and sent it back to the kitchen, when it came back it was cooked perfect, but half the steak was missing. I was so disappointed with R&J, I will probably never return.
Our entree was only warm when brought to our table , had good flavor but needed to be warmer
This place is awesome!!!
Interesting atmosphere. Good food
Small place with great food.
Love this place especially for the ambiance and the delicious food, but was disappointed in the slow service after being placed the overflow room when no one else was seated there.
Very good food and drink, and we love the throwback atmosphere!
