Everything we ordered was amazing including the sea bass, lamb meatballs, taziki and calamari! We brought my 8 month old daughter and everyone was so accommodating and made it so easy and comfortable for us! This is one of my go to places in the west village!
I have been here several times and food just is getting worse. I used to love it and it was an old stand by but not after last Saturday’s meal. The noise level makes it hard to have a conversation.
Great meal, friendly wait staff
Right after we sat down we noticed an odor coming from the kitchen. We thought about leaving but we decided to stick it out and after our friends arrived and the place got busier, we noticed it less, but the odor did persist throughout our dinner. It may have been been a cleaning agent they were using in the kitchen; we don't know. Another problem was that I ordered french fries to go with my entree but they never came. We weren't charged for them, though. But the food was good and the atmosphere and location were also good.
I LOVED IT HERE. Everything was delicious and well presented.
The service was impeccable with an attentive and friendly staff. Food was delicious with a nice variety of options. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We loved this restaurant. Excellent food and service. Very pretty inside, with a nice vibe. The bar area is beautiful.
Mixed feelings about this unique place. It is Turkish, but also vaguely West Village American. The atmosphere is warm, but also a bit too much in the bar area. The staff was efficient and friendly, but there is a haphazard feel to the service. Most importantly, the food was both tasty (green bean appetizer, Turkish bread), and mediocre (hamburger, Turkish ravioli - mantı). I would try it again, but I hope there could be more focus and improvements in the food.
Went with a large group and was pleasantly surprised. The server was attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. A nice new find in the West Village.
Nice evening of long audible conversations and dining with old friends without feeling of being rushed. Staff was wonderful, food and drinks terrific. Definitely recommended.
Excellent food. Loved the Turkish meat dumplings with yogurt.
Such delicious food! I am so glad to know about this place. The service was friendly, almost family-like, but in a good way. I had a wonderful kale salad with roasted butternut squash that I would highly recommend, while my friend had a delicious-looking pureed lentil soup (she said ti was very well seasoned) and a vegetarian pasta dish that looked and smelled divine. Good coffee (as expected), and the place was pleasantly quiet at lunchtime. I will look for an opportunity to go back when I am hungry enough to try the kebabs.
Nice place and great staff, very friendly. Food was an interesting twist on what we were expecting. Enjoyed a few of the samples we received as well. Happy hour oysters were good.
Great food for the price. Staff is very friendly
We were blown away by this fantastic restaurant. The service was phenomenal, and the food amazing. Don't miss the Turkish coffee!
Food was excellent
The host and servers were so nice
& accommodating .
They were one of the few places that could accomodate a party of 17; it was quiet when we arrived bu the place fille dup. They were super gracious , patient with us and our many kids, and the food was excellent. Great value.
The food was amazing--excellent, upscale Middle Eastern food. We were a group of 8. We requested a round table, which they didn't have but the manager figured out a way to set up a table with 2 people on each side--pretty close to round; we appreciated the effort! The whole evening felt like they would do whatever possible to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. And we did!
Always a pleasure to eat here. The food is great, the service is friendly and reliable.
Excellent Turkish cuisine served with a smile. We tried several items on the menu, and all were delicious and passed the authenticity standard among those of us who have spent time in Turkey. Manager Fahit was so welcoming, we came back for post-theater drinks. This is around the corner from the Lucille Little Theater, making it a great place pre/post show.
First visit to Quarter last summer impressed us. This time food seemed blah. Mezes were fine but stuffed cabbage tasteless. Fish was great last time, so-so this time. Service is always excellent though.
Charming atmosphere. Really good food. Accommodating service. Can’t wait for a second trip!
Everything was great except the Brussel sprouts. Not carmelized and over cheesy. Will I go back? Definitely!
Charming place, delightful staff, decent food - very accommodating, helpful and warm. A pleasureable lunch
Had a great brunch with some family in town. We had a large group but they were able to accommodate us without any challenges. Food was good and overall service was good as well.
The service was great. They made every accommodation to have our large party seated outside on a beautiful day. They were great with the kids. Perhaps the food is better at times other than brunch. Wouldn't recommend for brunch.
An overall excellent experience. Good food, good value and good service.
Went there for brunch with a couple of friends! The drinks were great and strong not watered down that you get at lot of the brunch places! Food was decent; nothing too great but not bad!
Well recommend to friends for drinks!
We ordered oysters twice, and both times our order was 1 short. The table next to us had the same issue. When we ordered again, the waiter told us 6 oysters were on him. When the bill same, he charged us for the 6 oysters, in addition to the oysters that were missing from the plate both times. They also added drinks to our bill that we did not have. Seems like they were trying to screw us out of our money as if we weren't going to check the bill. Food was nothing special either. Won't be back here!
I ate here twice in two weeks . It's a well run place. The cosmopolitan was good sized and generous with the vodka. The food is very fresh )I had lamb once& fish the second visit). I recommend the eggplant purée, fried peppers and white bean salad. It's so pleasurable to eat in a restaurant that doesn't blast loud music and you can have a conversation without shouting. Thank you Quarter
We stumbled across The Quarter doing a OpenTable neighborhood search for our annual birthday get-together with one of our friends. We were seated right away and the waiter was right there to get our wine order in. He returned to suggest a great special that sounded tasty enough to choose over The Quarter's seafood selections which were one of the reasons we decided on this place in that initial search.
I had that special, lamb with mashed potatoes, and it was amazing. Cooked to perfection and a larger portion than I expected in a West Village restaurant. My husband had the salmon and it was another winner, beautifully prepared and the side of fingerling potatoes were something he won't soon forget. Our friend decided that since it was Memorial Day weekend, he had to try the Quarter Burger and the reviews for that one were also on point. He substituted the fingerlings as well and was glad he did as they were delicious.
The only let down came after dinner. We sat and sat, watching the waiter go here and there, talk to the hostess or play with his phone but he never came by to ask how our meal was or whether we wanted anything more. When I did finally catch his eye, instead of coming by, he sent someone over to give us more water. All this went on for about 30 minutes when finally we had to flag another waiter down to bring us our check. We enjoyed the time to catch up but based on dinner we expect that dessert would have been just as good but it was never offered.
We would go back to The Quarter and we certainly would suggest the food to our friends, we would just warn them in advance to expect underwhelming service that has been mentioned in several of the reviews we read since. We chose this place on the star rating and the menu as individual service is dependent on many factors and we have often had the complete opposite experience but alas, this wasn't the case with The Quarter.
The location is great. We made reservation for a large group. We came late and our table was still available for us. Great service. A problem that I encountered was that the menu was brunch for a Sunday around 2pm. No too many options if you'd like to have an actual lunch. I asked the waiter if we can have something else that is not in the menu but I guess the kitchen is not lenient on this type of request. That was a big drawback for us.
Great all around - very friendly staff, nice menu, they give you blankets to sit outside! Went for Mother's Day and everyone was very happy. Would definitely go back.
Delightful owner and staff, appreciative of the guests coming to their restaurant and the food speaks for itself
The Quarter is a very very good. Excellent Med hint of Turkish cuisine. Great staff from Server-Bar-Kitchen and the Owner. Only negative is - yes an extensive and excellent wine list however, wine is pricey. Menu is a great value - price for entree and small plates is very fair and the dishes are excellent.
We had a brunch there last Sunday as I like to try new places. Its was a terrible experience as our waiter was obnoxious. The food is ok, nothing special that will make us come back. But the worse was the attitude of that waiter. He was extremely rude. I absolutely do not recommend it.
This is simply an outstanding restaurant - excellent food paralleled with the best service I've had in any Manhattan restaurant - great for all occasions !
Love Sectap really great server and so much fun ! We had a really obnoxious group that hadn't seen each other in a while , but they were so accommodating and friendly ! Great drinks and food 💗🎉🎉
my girlfriend and I were looking for a brunch spot with a one year old child. This place was very child friendly and accommodating. They had a high chair and toys! The waitstaff was excellent as was the service. Portions were a bit small, but the food was fair.
Great food, great wine, great service . Cant wait to go again
