Asian - and defined by crisp, clean flavors, seasoned with a touch of whimsy.
The menu is designed to encourage sharing, as befits the relaxed atmosphere of what is a Brooklyn attitude- free zone. The Quarter is a place to savor fine wines and memorable craft beers, while relishing accessibly-priced food that
reflect Executive Chef Jason Avery’s flair for unexpected ingredient combinations that seduce the plate, while capturing the imagination.
This is my mother's favorite restaurant so we eat here regularly. We love the menu--it's very eclectic--; the cocktails are fun and tasty, the portions are perfect--right in the middle of too big and too small; and it's beautifully decorated with excellent service.
Very friendly and very tasty. General Tso Chicken bun was really good as was the spicy chicken sandwich. Kid had the burger and gave it two thumbs up. Didn't have the Oysters but they looked great.
The place is beautiful. Both inside and outside are gorgeous.
However, the food itself is nothing beyond average.
This is a good spot for a drink (since, again, it's a really gorgeous place), but I wouldn't go back for dinner.
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried on the menu. The drinks are also excellent. This is a great spot overall!!
My partners and I had a great dining experience in this place after a show in the BAM. I requested to be seated in patio which was gorgeously designed with ivies all over and retractable roof .Cocktails made with fresh juices and they were outstanding. The service was very attentive and he was very helpful to choose the right wine for the entree we picked from the menu. We would love to go back again.
We come here for the pesto mussels. Unfortunately the recipe was changed and it left us very disappointed. Please, bring back the pesto mussels - they were perfection!
They were missing items from the menu at brunch which really limited our options. The food was just okay but the backyard has a great ambiance.
Great new place! Glad we tried it.. Will be going back for sure!
The Quarter has the potential to be a great neighborhood go-to restaurant. The atmosphere and location are just right. There seems to be an active bar scene (we were there for pre-theater dinner).
The actuality was that service was mediocre, slow, not well informed or terribly helpful.
Worse was the food preparation - business wasn't heavy but our orders took 'forever' to arrive and when it did, we were disappointed. It seems like the meals were prepared long before delivery and kept near a heat lamp. Food was dry, warm and uninspired.
Maybe someone will teach the staff that quality and customer service are primary.
The food is basic but good and the back garden is lovely
Exceed my expectations across the board. Will definitely return for another meal on the beautiful patio.
Very excited to have this restaurant within waking distance. Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious :)
A very nice place with lovely decor.
The staff was amazing, and the food was delicious.
I would come there again and again. Loved it!
We love The Quarter as a restaurant in the Fort Greene community! It's a family favorite.
Great quality food and delicious. A better desert menu is needed.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Will go back!!!
We selected The Quarter since it was highly recommended and near the BAM where we were seeing a show. We found the food remarkably average and portions not particularly generous. For appetizers we had calamari which was decent enough but not very crispy. The burrata cheese with zucchini and peas was disappointing; we've had better burrata from Trader Joe's Fish and chips were more like fish and a large potato wedges. The pesto chicken was rather bland and I don't know why the broccoli with it was served raw (leftovers were good in a salad the next day, however). The mussels were passable, though the broth was nearly tasteless. I have had much better at places like Cafe Luluc in Cobble Hill. The best part of the meal were the fries that came with the mussels. Service was decent enough but we won't go back.
nice place for brunch. garden room is pretty. it was very quiet, but don't know what the noise level would be like if the place was filled
I loved the atmosphere and the food was great. Our waitress was so pleasant as well. I am definitely planning to return when I visit Brooklyn.
Really enjoyed it. My dinner was delicious. Great little cozy hideaway in Fort Greene. Very close to BAM and Barclay Center, so perfect for pre-show dining.
Delicious brunch, amazing service (the servers were so nice), and great space for our group of 10 in the garden area. Wonderful place!
Amazing place, very good staff and good food!
The Quarter is one of the worst restaurants I've visited in NY. We had a reservation at 8 but our table wasn't ready at that time. We had to wait for like 15 minutes. Once there, it took ages for someone to take our order.
The food was really bad, we asked for the "Pan Roasted Chicken Caramelized Winter Vegetables, White Wine, Thyme, Garlic" and it was just fried chicken with tasteless veggies. We also shared the burrata which was almost uneatable.
The drinks came after our dishes. We ordered wine and beer. They were both terrible and really expensive for what they tested like.
So on top of that, we were brought the check really fast and then were asked to move to the bar because they had another reservation. We just left. This is probably the worst restaurant in Brooklyn. We Will never go back.
I went here for my anniversary with my boyfriend. We were very excited to come here for dinner and when we walked outside and were seated at our table, we were happy we made the choice to come to the Quarter for our special day.
We enjoyed our drinks and appetizers (we shared a charcuterie platter), however when dinner arrived the night went downhill. Both of our drinks were empty and needed a refill but we had difficulty getting the waiter's attention and never received a second drink.
When the dinner came, I was very confused. I ordered Mussels Frites, however my meal was accompanied by a salad and not french fries. Eventually I got a waiter's attention (it was not the waiter we ordered with, he had moved on to a larger party) and she informed me that the fry maker was down so all meals that came with fries was going to come with a salad. I had not been told this at any point and would have easily chosen another meal, but my server did not inform me. We continued to have trouble finding a server for the rest of the night for dessert and coffee. My boyfriend ordered a pork dish and was happy with his choice, but both of us were frustrated with the service. This was in April so hopefully the staff has gotten more attentive since then!
My food was lukewarm and the service was very slow.
Food and service were outstanding! I miss the more subdued interior of the old restaurant (that was there before the Quarter) because that shiny tin ceiling combined with those tacky blue lights behind the bar is just too bad. Otherwise, a solid place that I’ll definitely return to!
The food was delicious and the cocktails were perfect. Variety of food offered from healthy to fried food. Food took a little longer than expected to come out but al in all worth it!
The food, service, wine and cocktails were all great. Excellent value. Very good atmosphere. This was my second time dining here. I will definitely come back.
Great place to have a Sunday brunch with a group. The staff was very accommodating when I had to change our reservation and let us wait at the bar for the rest of our party (family driving in from out of town). Unlike a lot of other places, they weren't putting pressure on us about where the rest of the party was and the bartender was very nice and conversational when I asked about the menu. Our server was great - super friendly and accommodating (especially with a baby and a 7 year old!). It was lowkey and wasn't packed at all (I'm not really sure why because the food was good and so was the atmosphere). We felt very welcomed and had a lovely time!
The Quarter was fabulous and our service was top-notch. We were there for a relaxed dinner with a group of friends. It was great and all of us enjoyed the menu we selected - I highly recommend it as a favorite!
Great Brunch. Cozy place. Try the brussel sprouts and eggs for breakfast (really)! If you have the fries, make sure to dip it in the truffle infused mayo -- excellent.
It was a lovely venue for a date. We were there earlier in the evening, so it was very quiet and empty, but you could tell from the service that they would treat you exactly the same way if they had been crowded. Warm and kind wait staff and beautiful ambiance!
Would never go back
Great for a quick bite before a BAM show. Burger was great but other apps we ordered - tacos, burata, were just okay
I've eaten at the Quarter a number of times with friends & it's always been a fun experience. Good food, good service, nice ambiance. The noise level does get a bit high as the evening wears on but being "seniors" we tend to eat earlier than the rush.
What a lovely place! I met a friend there for brunch and was delighted by both the food and service. I wish I lived closer (I’m from Queens). But I definitely will return.
Great meal, servers were very attentive and ambience was nice as well
A perfect place to dine before or after an evening at BAM. The wait staff was exceptionally warm and friendly and we loved the ambiance, especially the glow from the tin ceiling. Very vintage, very attractive. We would go back for sure.
Nice place but oysters not so good. Burger was good and the service was friendly pretty quick.
3 people. Brunch food. Everything arrived cold. Two orders completely cold scrambled eggs. Home fries served with the eggs were a disgrace. Obviously reheated (possibly many times reheated) potatoes and completely mealy. Tasteless. The "fried oysters" that came with the scrambled eggs were all breading. If there was any oyster inside the lumps of breading you could barely identify it as such. Where's the oyster??? Heh heh. And they were cold as well. Pancakes ordered by third friend were said to be good but they also arrived cold. She sent those back while other friend and I just sucked it up and ate the eggs and lumps of breading. Mixed tall mojito was mostly ice. Nice ice but not much drink for 13 bucks. Bellinis were meh. Lovely setting and staff is nice but won't pass this way again.
