The Q Restaurant & Bar
Book your next event with us
Q continues to be our neighborhood go-to. Great food and service with reasonable prices. The Rock & Rye is worth the drive from almost anywhere. Special thanks to John and Savanah for always making us feel welcome.
Everybody really liked their meals, thought the wine by the glass prices were high and they didn't have any beers on tap, but overall it was a good evening and we were happy and would go back again. And the Wednesday fried chicken sandwich with the vinegar slaw was outstanding and well priced
I hope most people don't read this, because if they do, they will be privy to what is a largely undiscovered gem in Napa dining. The only thing that prevented me from awarding the Q five stars is I reserve this for truly stellar places like Auberge.
There are five thing that make this restaurant special:
1. The food, which more than exceeds expectations, with a range of appealing menu choices and consistency of execution, making dining a near sure thing .
2. The staff, which is fast , friendly, and professional.
3. The room, which is extraordinarily comfortable and pleasant.
4. The sound level, which allows you to easily have a conversation, even on a Friday evening, something that is not always achievable at other dining destinations.
5. The cost. This is not a place where you hope to eat on OPM (other people's money); this is a place where you are glad to spend your own money, with a corkage fee that's modest, and many menu options south of $20.
I hope no one reads this, given I'd just as soon keep this secret to myself and other locals who know a good restaurant choice when they see it, and want to keep it that way.
Great food especially Ceasar Salad. Wonderful service.
Very good food. Simple ambience. Dog friendly. A favorite.
Great selection of appetizers, salads, and main dishes. Had light dinner before attending a locally produced play nearby. Lots of parking in adjacent shopping center. Large outdoor section available on warm Napa nights.
Perfect evening! Great service and wonderful food! We’ll be back!
We started with the grilled artichoke and devil eggs. Both are delicious. John, the manager, and the team provided excellent service. All our entrees are tasty. The cod sandwich is a bit messy to eat because of the sauce.
Beyond excellent service. Good food. Nice indoor seating next to big open windows but outside seating nice too. The waiter was especially attentive and they went all out to make my birthday special.
We brought our one-year old and everyone was so amazing to her and us. They engaged her and made us feel totally welcome, even with a baby at a restaurant. The food was delicious, but that goes without saying.
Very disappointed ☹️ Food boring, waiter paid no attention to us .....will never go back.
Best happy hour in Napa Valley!
Great service and very well prepared food. Great locals hangout.
Loved the server, loved the drinks, loved the food. I felt badly because I knocked my drink over, but they cleaned it up quickly and made me a new one even more quickly. Was my first time here and I will be back.
I and the other person I was with are elder. It was difficult to converse with the noise from the music since the speaker was right above us. No room in the shade outside.
Otherwise, we enjoyed our dinner.
Delicious food, friendly staff, outstanding service. We always stop here for a meal whenever we are in Napa.
Super Ramos Gin Fizzes. My omelet was very good. My husband's corn beef hash was okay. Key lime pie delicious.
We love eating at the Q. It is one of our regular stops in Napa.
Food was good. The service was fast. I will be going back for more.
Amazing food and service
Fat Tuesday dinner. Food and drinks amazing, crowded with some tables lingering a bit long. But well worth the wait!
Service had on very strong perfume but exceptionally nice
Food not as good as it used to be, Meat tastes overly smokey
While the service was good, the good was mediocre at best. We got the wrong food, but waited so long for it to begin with(we were there at 1130am, opening time), we didn't correct it(we were served brisket instead of baby back ribs while ordering 3 different meats). The music was loud rap with explicit lyrics, where jazz or country would be better for a bbq, wine bar. The cost to portion ratio was too high for the quality of food. The brisket was salted so heavily on the outside we had to cut off some of the edges, and someone needs to tell the cook(definitely NOT a chef) that Cheyenne pepper is not a BBQ rub for chicken! Being someone from NC and travels alot, I'm used to different BBQ sauce and rubs, but I will not go back to Q, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
Slow service but food was great
Very good authentic BBQ brisket. Cooed for 6 ours. All three sauces are great
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. They sat us right away and the staff immediately gave us water and menus. Our Waiter showed up and gave us the specials. I asked for his favorites and he was very helpful.
When the food arrived it was hot and flavorful. The brisket had a good bark and was extremely tender. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and seasoned well. Sausages, pulled pork, and chicken were all excellent. Sides included Mac and cheese, Asian coleslaw, and skillet cornbread. The cornbread was exceptionally light and flavorful, with a good crust.
We would highly recommend this place.
We love The Q! An excellent option for delicious food and great service!
We are never disappointed by The Q Restaurant. We usually go Sundays for their fried chicken (best in the Valley!). The staff is very friendly and the food is always good.
Always happy with our meals! The ribs are great and they now give you a choice on the type of cold slaw. Took our three kids who have very different tastes and everyone found a menu choice that was satisfying. Will definitely continue to dine here!
I always forget about this restaurant and wonder how busy they would be in a different location. We ordered the sampler (brisk it, spicy sausage and chicken), the baby back ribs with a side of Mac, and I got the spicy Asian chicken salad. Everything was excellent, and my husbands brisket was so tender you could cut it with a fork. It was my husband's birthday and they comped him the brownie dessert, which was the best damn brownie I've had in a long tine. Service was very attentive. Everything was great!
Best brisket in town. don't miss the cornbread and mac-n-cheese. It's elevated comfort food.
Why must they play loud music! Most annoying. Asked to have it lowered to no avail. It ruined an an otherwise very good meal.
Amazing food and service. Have been for brunch, lunch and dinners and have to say the quality of food never changed nor the great service we received. Recommend to anyone looking for quality prices and fantastic food
We frequently lunch here. The service and food are always very good. As always. We will continue to come.
Food is always very good here. Excellent pulled pork sandwich, great salads, wonderful specials, and best key lime pie in town.
Excellent food and amazing staff. Can’t say how great of a place and hidden gem this is. My new favorite restaurant
This is in our neighborhood and we’ve always had good experiences. This Monday we went for their Happy Hour and it was outstanding. Vibe is fun, wine list is diverse and reasonably priced. Check out Q for Happy Hour—it’s impressive.
We love the food at Q, although the spotty service sometimes means it arrives at less than optimal temperature. Unfortunately, the music is always so loud it can be difficult to have a conversation, even on the patio. When the wait staff can't hear you, it's too loud. If you are on a timeline, be sure to mention it right up front and ask for the check when food arrives. Slow here is very slow, not just comfortable.
