The Pump House is a Grade II listed building which forms part of Wellington's huge textile industry heritage.
Stefano started renovating this gorgeous space himself 5 years ago using mainly recycled and upcycled materials, preserving original features and making additions sympathetic to its natural beauty.

We are a family-run business and our menu comprises Mediterranean, Mexican, Asian and, of course, Italian cuisine. All of our dishes are cooked from scratch using the best local ingredients where possible: in particular meat (local, free-range, outdoor-reared) and fish (from Brixham). Our pizzas are hand-stretched with homemade dough and topped with local mozzarella from Glastonbury: delicious!

We have a full bar with a comprehensive cocktail list, including our own inventions - all of our cocktails are also made from scratch by our mixologists - and offer a range of predominantly Italian wines.

This special space also hosts live music monthly: come check out the atmosphere!

What’s happened? where did all the delicious fresh seasonal specials go? Have enjoyed some great meals here previously but the menu has reduced to burgers and nachos. Disappointing menu although the staff were attentive & settling is lovely. Will think again before returning.

The venue, decor, staff and food are all first class. The pizzas are the best I've ever tasted but there's so many other amazing things on the menu it's hard not to drastically over order as your belly demands to sample it all.

Once we found it we were pleasantly surprised at the way the old building had been transformed into a restaurant with lots of room but still being aware of the history. The menu was varied and the only slight disappointment was the small number of choices that were gluten free. We really enjoyed the meals that we had although we expected the fajitas to be in a tortilla.

Unusual location but love the ambiance, great food well presented and prepared. Cocktails as good as top hotels.Out side or in your choice.

I genuine love this place. The staff work really hard and are normally super attentive. The week day menu is fab, however I think they are trying to do too much by running an evening event straight after feeding time. The staff (who are lovely) seemed stressed out, although always polite, literally running around the tables to clear up quickly for the night shift. As such It wasn’t a very relaxing experience to eat there. Having said that the night event was fun. A difficult mix to balance which they have quite got right yet.

I am new to Wellington and this was my first visit to The Pump House along with my daughter who was treating me for my birthday. We were a little confused as to the precise location once we had turned off the road but the entrance soon became apparant and we entered a lovely indoor restaurant with a very pleasant outside area with uncovered and covered seating. The service was outstanding, drinks served immediately and all questions regarding the menu answered fully. We had three courses, all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were really delightful, happy and smiling which all contributed to a most enjoyable experience. I have no hesitation in recommending The Pump House and will definitely be returning.
