This was our first visit to the Pump House and we'll definitely return. The service was top notch, everyone was engaging and attentive. We ate lunch on the roof top which provided a great view of the Catawba River. Food was excellent.
Celebrating getting out!
Service was very slow, which has not been our experience in the past.
Our waiter was Russ we had wonderful service and the food was great.
We don’t go here that often and every time we do I’m reminded why we don’t. I’ll first say that our waitress was wonderful. She had our glasses constantly full and was very attentive. Three of us ordered the filet mignon. This is the reason I don’t care for this place. They don’t sear the steaks. With a cut that special you need to take care in how it’s prepared. They covered it in butter. Also, asked for medium rare and it came out medium well. For $38 for a steak, definitely disappointed. My husband got the shrimp and grits which were amazing. If we go back I will not get the steak but will get the shrimp and grits.
We met our son for lunch. Great restaurant and location. Right on the Catawba River. Good food. Great service. I would definitely recommend a visit there.
Always enjoy my time at Pump House. Have not experienced anything less than awesome service and food thus far.
Their brunch menu is fantastic. The orange chocolate muffins are wonderful. Really enjoyed the French Toast as well. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the location is perfect.
Our server was excellent. I am not sure how to spell his name but it started with a A. We were on the fourth floor and the place over all is beautiful and the food was amazing. For my first time it was more than I expected. We will be back.
Our dinner was perfect. Andrew is an excellent waiter and our service was great.
We loved this place. We sat on the patio area of main dining floor (3rd). Beautiful view. Our food was delicious, and our server, Curtis, was wonderful!!!
Plan on going back very soon!
My wife and I drove down from Salisbury, NC, a 1.5-hour drive. The meal, the service via the waitress, and the manager plus receptionist proved all to be outstanding. We will go back because the salmon was out of this world.
CAP and Dr. SAP
Food and drink is 2nd to none in this part of SC. Like a Charleston restaurant in the upstate. Delicious.
Zachary was very knowledgeable and gave perfect suggestions. Wonderful personality! Salmon was cooked to perfection and delicious.
Always love coming here. The food is beyond amazing and you’ll never find a better staff!
Absolutely loved! My first time there and the food was amazing. It can be kinda pricey but definitely worth it. Will definitely be coming back!💓
We sat outside and our server, Matthew, was friendly, funny, & helpful. Great food & cocktail!
The name doesn't reflect the experience. It truly is an old pumping station but now just a wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere was so cool overlooking the river from the outside third floor. The service fantastic! The food was very good with plenty of choices. While casual, it had an upscale feel. I was most amazed by their expansive wines by the bottle. Click on the QR code and explore what seems like endless selections. Definitely a winner of a restaurant in my mind.
This is the 3rd time I've been here and I've always left thinking, "it was ok". Went for Easter dinner. Was unaware they had a fixed menu and what was offered was mediocre in my opinion. For what I spent for a family of 3 I would have expected to leave thinking "that'was worth every penny". It was not! If I am going to drop that kind of money on a meal it will be at Epic, Ruth Chris, Mortons, Capital Grille, etc... The food was no where near that caliber. I had Ahi tuna that had little to no flavor. Wife said the same of her filet. Daughter's Shrimp and Grits were the highlight along with her Potato Leek soup. This place has potential, but sadly for me 3 strikes and your out. Sean (pretty sure that was his name; server on 5th floor) was outstanding! Fortunately for him my tip didn't reflect my disappointment in the food.
The food was delicious and enough to take home. We will return in the future.
We went for Easter, the menu was great, they gave the wrong dish so when I told the server (she was very nice) said that she would bring me something else, I sent that is was ok I ill take it home. The mgr came over was very nice and offer me anything on the menu and I said it was ok. when the check came my dinner was taken off. We will come back again
Easter brunch had a preset menu and it was delicious.
Awesome service, kind and courteous waiter and cheerful setting.
Visiting the area and decided to visit The Pump House. Making a reservation was simple and they called to confirm. Once arrived, we were taken to our table promptly. The restaurant is beautiful and quiet. The staff was attentive and courteous. The food presentation and flavor was excellent. I would highly recommend visiting The Pump House.
Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We would return.
Always great food and we love sitting on the heating porch. This time we saw two deer swim across Catawba River to the other side. ❤
Great views of river, amazing food. Great meal from appitizers to dessert. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Pump House always fun.
We had our son's 21st birthday party at The Pump House. It was a perfect dinner with a perfect cake to acknowledge his special day. It was a great "send-off" so he could enjoy the rest of his evening after enjoying a fantastic meal with friendly servers.
Our family came here for dinner to celebrate 3 birthdays, and Pump House went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent, memorable experience.
Angela was warm and welcoming from the moment she took us to our table and checked on us frequently during our visit to make sure everything was satisfactory. Ross, our server, was so hospitable and full of knowledge in regards to the menu and wine/cocktail list. He was very attentive and we never had to wave him down for anything.
We all tried a few appetizers; Black and Blue Beef, Fried Okra and the Fries. All were amazing (we even ordered a second round of okra!). We all got different entrees; Scallops, Elk Chops, Filet, and the dinner special which was Duck Breast. All were vibrant, full of flavor, and fresh. The Chef sure knows what's he's doing! They also sent us some complimentary items in honor of our birthdays.
We truly couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate the occasion. We will definitely be back!
Very efficient check-in and seating by our party of 4. Paul, our waiter, was on the top of his game. He gave good advice on appetizers and wine choices. His timing on the appetizers was perfect. We all enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, calamari and venison sausage. Entrees we chose were salmon and lamb shank. Both were timed precisely, cooked perfectly and delicious! Overall an excellent dining experience.
We’ve eaten there perhaps 2-3 times but the last time it has been at least 1.5 - 2 years ago. Our reservations was last Sunday at 5pm. We got there and there was one table full inside and two outside. The food was ok, not great. And frankly, not good based on the prices. Everything was a la carte. And service was poor this past time. Hardly anyone there and we did not get good attention. In addition, we asked for separate checks (when we first sat down) and when the bill came it wasn’t split out. I couldn’t have been more clear. So then we waited another 20 minutes for them to figure it out. I simply told her $180 on one card and $130 on another; apparently that was too much to handle. Frankly, even with a stunning setting/ambiance/view - I don’t think I will go back.
I ordered something not in the spring menu and you accommodated me. It was excellent.
This restaurant is a nice place to go have a great date get away. This is my third time here and it is definitely worth the drive. Food is tasty; the staff is always welcoming and it has a wonderful view
Sooo, I just wanted to write this review, as we are just getting back to dining out after a very long year. The first place and meal my husband and I wanted was brunch at the Pump House! It’s always good and quite frankly, the best restaurant around! Yesterday was no exception! Not only was the food outstanding, but Russ, our server was a total delight! I was ALLL OVER the bottomless mimosas and Russ really kept up with me! lol Thanks for a terrific first experience back and we will see you again very soon!💗
We went for Sunday Brunch and it was a pleasure as always.
As always, the food was perfect, the service was fantastic, and we're looking forward to our next visit!
