Absolutely great food and wonderful service! Highly recommended!!
Made a reservation for a birthday not sure why I was asked nothing about our lunch was birthday related. Service was good not great my food in particular was out late. I asked for a sample of the soup which was going to be my main meal I never got the sample until the rest of my table got their meals.
I’ve been to the pump house before and have had much better experiences. We had my mom from out of country and was excited to take her for her birthday I was disappointed to say the least.
Good overall. Food service was a little slow, but very attentive server, and excellent food and environment
Great place!
Worth the drive from Charlotte, the ambiance and view made for a perfect date night. The service was quick and the fried green tomatoes and Cheerwine cake were to die for!
We had a delicious dinner overlooking a beautiful view. We will definitely be back!
Food was absolutely delicious, and service was very attentive! The only complaint was the wine list. They need more bottles of decent wine in the $30-$40 range. Not everyone wants to pay from $200 to $2500 for a bottle of wine, even if they can afford it. We will definitely visit again soon!
Even though I specifically requested a spot that would not be quite so noisy due to my friend’s hearing problems, we were seated by the door and between two large groups of diners that were very loud. The restaurant appeared to be full, so I did not request to be moved, but the noise level definitely detracted from our experience.
Our waiter never came to pick up my payment, as he chose to take drink orders from each of about 12 people at the next table. We got tired of waiting for him, so I left my money on the table and we left.
Excellent locally operated restaurant in the Rock Hill area.
Loved our time here! The seared tuna is amazing!
Service was poor, even during off hours at 2:30PM for lunch. Food is great, but lack of service takes away from the experience.
As usual Pump house didn’t disappoint. Made our 16th wedding anniversary wonderful. We will continue to go there.
I had reserved a table outside because we had friends coming out of country. Moore told no outside seating was available and told to go to the rooftop where there was some seating. Rooftop is the bar is very loud it was very cold our food arrived moderately cold. Very expensive for a night out of four people.
Great date night spot. Lighting on the porch was romantic and the food was great!
1st time visit. Delicious food. Great service. Definitely recommend getting reservations. Some people left because they didn't have reservations and didn't want to wait an hour for a maybe cancellation.
We always enjoy this local gem for us in York County! The service is off the charts, the food is delicicious and creative, and the setting by the river is wonderful! Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service! Thanks Butch and Philip :)
Fabulous food, service, drinks, view, and ambience!
Vr y good good and a nice day by the lake
I ordered the chicken cob salad for lunch. Lots of fresh greens and a big piece of chicken but the others components that make a cob salad were almost nonexistent. Mostly lettuce.
Very pleasant first experience! Previously heard nothing but good things, and everything meet and exceeded our expectations
We loved everything about your restaurant except the music. It was so loud we couldn't hear what the waitress was saying or what we were saying to each other. They did turn it down a little for us, but you really don't need it at all. If people want to hear music/noise most of them have their I-phones and can listen to something they really want to hear.
Good family dinner that we enjoyed on the patio. Our waiter, Phillip, was excellent. The food was perfect as always!
Easter dinner was one of the more disappointing visits to this otherwise good restaurant. Suggest you don't go on holidays.
The riverside seating is excellent and the service is top notch. The food selection is limited but everything is well prepared and on point.
We went to The Pump House for Easter brunch. We arrived promptly at noon but it took a few minutes to get up the elevator so we checked in a few minutes late. The biggest disappointment was we had friends visiting from out of state and when I made the reservation (over a month in advance) I requested outdoor seating and confirmed that when they called 2 days prior. When the hostess sat us inside I questioned tables outside and she said they are available on a first come first serve basis. What’s the point in making a reservation? There wasn’t an offer for us to wait and even more disappointing was once we settled in there was a table empty on the patio! If it was not reserved they should have sat us there. I thought about asking but we were hungry and I didn’t feel like arguing. It was Easter after all. Food was great and $13 bottomless mimosas made up for the mishap.
The food is always delicious. This place never disappoints me. And the view is amazing.
The menu looked good, but the food was average at best in preparation and presentation.
location on the rviver was very nice, but prices too high for the quality of the meals.
Had a great experience at The Pump House for the fifth time! Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to make your experience excellent. I am looking forward to living closer to the Pump House!
The food is great and we love sitting out on the patio. A great place to go!!
Just moved to the area and went here for my Fiancés Birthday. We had made a reservation and were seated quickly. Overall the evening was great. Great view, excellent food. Service was polite, and for the most part quick and efficient. However the only thing odd was he brought out 4 pieces of bread for a table of 5. We were all starving so they were gone in seconds. Asked for more. Again, 3 rolls this time? Didn't make sense with a table of 5. And the specialty drink my Fiancé ordered took around 20 minutes. This was at 630 they were not very busy at this time. The third request for bread I said enough for the table please. Again 4 rolls. It seems petty but it just didn't make sense to me. However the server was polite and did great on everything else. I left a nice tip. I would likely return.
We had a great first experience at Pump House! We sat outside and the view was awesome! The service and food were both amazing!! We went for my birthday and the staff brought an amazing cheesecake and a hand written card. So nice! We would definitely all recommend Pump House to others!
Great anniversary spot. Love the atmosphere. Food was good for the value
The evening was perfect, we sat outside and watched the birds fly by as well as the rushing water. The waiter Andrew was very attentive, his recommendations were spot on. It was my husbands birthday and they brought out a nice small cake that was very tasty. The cocktails and wine were both perfect. Thank you for a special evening and celebration.
Good food and good service
Found this gem during a road trip. Great service and a wonderful menu . The views only added to this wonderful meal
The food was exceptional. The only negative was with a difficult time finding our waiter to get the check.
Great place. I recommend this restaurant. It is comfortable, yet upscale.
Patient waitstaff since part of group was delayed 45 minutes by traffic on I-77. Crabcakes Benedict was well-received.
Good service and very good food. Nice location with a view.
