The Pump House

Our server, Nicole, could not have been nicer! We enjoyed our dinner, and sitting on the patio overlooking the Catawba River was amazing. We will definitely be going back!
Disappointed - elevator was broken and staff did not inform customers waiting on 1st floor - a group of about 15 of us found an Employee Only door and went up the stairs. We had a reservation for 6 at 7:15 - we were seated at 7:55. Food was good - but not blown away - macaroni and cheese was luke warm and the wrong dips were provided with the fried okra and calamari. Not a horrible experience - but for $290 was expecting great service/food. Thanks!
The staff at Pump House is beyond 5 stars. Every detail from the time you enter until the time you leave is top of the line. The restaurant is simply beautiful with views to die for. Even the manager Chris Johnson came to our table to oversee if our needs were being met. When he found out we were celebrating a birthday, he sent over a free desert. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great! Everything we had was good and different.
Excellent food, great ambiance
Zac at the bar was awesome as well as our server Zoe. Had a great night!!
The staff was extremely courteous, the Maitre d especially stood out for his pleasantry. The food was excellent and came out in a timely manner, even though they thought they were slow with it. The only downfall was the price, but we definitely didn't feel cheated with the food and/or service. I will definitely go back, just not on a frequent basis.
Our experience was fantastic. The bacon brussel sprouts and pimento macaroni and cheese is excellent. It was my husband's birthday so I reserved a table online. I did not mention that it was his birthday once arriving and they still made a note from my reservation and brought him a birthday dessert. Excellent service! We will definitely be going back.
Every time our associates come into town they always request that we dine at The Pump House. We are always amazed with the quality of food, wine, beverage service, and management presence. Nicole was our server, and everything came out perfectly to our liking and promptly. Two gentlemen at the table were enjoying martinis and were sure to mention how well Julia made them. Thank you for your consistency, and helping us always leave a great impression upon our colleagues.
I love the venue of this restaurant. The food is excellent, great bourbon selection. The entertainment was great too.
We enjoyed the evening very much. Our waiter was excellent and the good absolutely delicious. Loved the atmosphere!
Everything was excellent would def. return!
Great views, good food. It's a little hard to find on google maps, but just keep winding thru the neighborhood towards the river. Way better than we expected. We were thinking it would just be bar food on the river. It was not, it was fresh and interesting and delicious. We will come back if we are ever driving thru again. We live at Lake Norman so this won't be a regular stop for us, but on our travels thru, we will be back.
The food and atmosphere were both outstanding. We started out with fried okra... best I've had! For lunch, I had the steak burger and my husband had the chicken sandwich. They were both beyond our expectations and large proportions. We were able to sit on the patio and overlook the river. The heaters kept the cooler temps outside nice and enjoyable throughout our lunch. We will definitely be back again soon.
As usual the food was delicious, the service was great and the ambience energetic!
As always, wonderful experience! Couldn't be better!!
Food was amazing and the service was better! Dawn was great!
Our main server was courteous but a little slow in attentiveness.
We had hoped to eat in the dining room but could secure reservation for the time needed. We wound up eating on the roof-top. That added a little to the noise level, but over all a great experience with great food. The view over the river are nice. The history and layout of the building added to the experience. Looking forward to going back.
The food, staff, and beverages were excellent. The ambient noise level is quite high when the dining room is full. Couple the need to get as many tables as possible into the dining area and the structure itself makes for high noise levels. In their defense, it's no worse than the high end chain steakhouse located near Southpark. Having said all that, overall I really enjoyed both our visits to The Pump House. We look forward to the roof bar when the weather warms up.
When we arrived our table was ready and were seated immediately. The location was private even though there were other tables in the immediate area where we were sitting. Service was excellent and our appetizers came out quickly as did our beverage and they were delicious.
Our main meal selection was served at a perfect temperature and presentation was especially nice. Food was delicious as well.
We love going to the Pump House and each time we are impressed.
A little loud, but that seems to be expected in restaurants these days.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the server went out of his way to make us feel celebrated! The food was amazing. The service was great. We can’t wait to go back soon!
My experience at the Pump House was exceptional! The food was delicious, I had the 2-day brined pork chop. The cocktail, wine & beer menu was vast and it was difficult to make a selection as they all looked amazing! I settled on the Blanc Pear Martini. I was not disappointed. Our server Nicole was so friendly and knowledgeable of the entire wine and food menu. She made excellent recommendations and was eager to customize our order. The ambiance of being on the river along with the rooftop bar and patio was unparalleled. Our rooftop bar server Colton was also stellar. This was the best dining experience I have had exceeding the Charlotte restaurants by far!
Brought a good friend there for a great dinner and of course were treated to the usual perfect service, great menu options and excellent beverages. The surprise of the evening was the great music upstairs afterwards and the fun and upbeat bar crowd.
Super Classy, appetizing selection, great food and excellent service.
We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and surroundings. Wish it had been a nicer evening, weather-wise, but that's out of all our control.
Service was good, but we had to wait for our (delicious) muffins and my son's drink order, so that set it down from 5 stars. That didn't detract from our enjoyment, though! Water service and wine refills were timely, and the food arrived hot and promptly.
The meatball appetizer was scrumptious, and all our entrees (salmon, tuna, gnocchi, pork chop, and shrimp & grits) were delicious! We enjoyed the wine we had, which was quite reasonably priced.
This is our 4th time here, and it won't be our last!
This is a wonderful place to enjoy a fine meal in a unique and peaceful setting. The staff are all pleasant and attentive without being intrusive, the food is fantastic and the place is unique but comfortable. Make sure you save room for the chocolate cheer wine cake for dessert.
Food and service has been consistently great every time we have visited!
Overall experience was ok. Food was ok nothing special wife had to get 2 meals made and didn’t eat either. I had the steak and it was ok I have had better for less.
I made reservations for a party of seven at Pump House in RockHill SC. I specifically requested outdoor seating so that we could enjoy a view of the water. When I checked in at 7:45, on the third floor, the hostess on duty asked that I come back and check in closer to 8:15pm. I went back to the hostess desk at 8:11pm to check in and the hostess, for whatever reason, seemed a little irritated with me at that time. A party of six arrived and that party was immediately taken to the outdoor area to be seated while we were still waiting to be seated. We were finally escorted up to the fourth floor to be seated inside. Our waitress Brooke, who was awesome, asked if everything was ok at which time I informed her that I had requested outdoor seating when I secured my reservations but apparently the hostess was not interested in my request because she sat a party of six outdoors before seating my party. The hostess was not friendly at all. Her attitude and demeanor was horrible. She was my first point of contact once I entered the establishment and first impressions say a lot. Had my family and I not driven 2 hours to get to Pump House, I would have left and went somewhere else to enjoy my birthday dinner. While the hostess was not the most pleasant person in the world My waitress Brooke, the Shrimp & Grits, and the Exotic Bomba was simply amazing. So if you are willing to over look the rude hostess you will really enjoy the rest of the restaurant.
My wife and I had gone to the Pump house a few times when it first opened. However we were disappointed with the level of service and food quality. I persuaded her to give it any other try.
This experience could not have been so different. TE service and the food was excellent. Our server Mattie, was genuinely concerned at making sure our service was right. My wife had the Salmon and I had the filet. Both cooked just right with tasty accomplishments.
The best part of Pump House is the food, which for a restaurant is obviously important. I would definitely eat here again, and will in the future.
The location itself is a bit odd- our gps had us take a dirt country road to get to the parking lot. There is a newer and modern road that we took to leave. Since it was previously a factory the building layout is unique but kind of cool.
The alcohol selection was pretty diverse and they do not overcharge- what you pay for a beer here will be comparable to a sports bar.
Dinner entrees are certainly priced as fine dining would be, but the flavor is amazing and the meal well balanced so I felt like I got my money's worth.
We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and were very impressed with every aspect of our dining experience. The crab cakes and soups (butternut squash and Mushroom bisques) were among some of the best we have ever had. Our waiter was outstanding and the view and ambiance were just top notch. I would highly recommend the Pump House.
Excellent evening at the Pump House, Anna our server was excellent, the drinks arrived promptly, the food also. The quality of the food was impeccable. We were on the fourth level so had a table that oversaw the level below which was fun. The rest rooms were on the floor above where the bar is. The whole restaurant was full, it's great to have a high end restaurant in Rock Hill.
Our first time going and will not be the last.. from the time we arrived to the time we left every one was so helpful and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were awesome.
The blackened tuna was excellent and my server Ashley was very pleasant and friendly. The host was also very welcoming. Overall great experience.
Always good times but the noise level was really loud.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Although somewhat crowded, when we arrived, I told the hostess of our reservation and we were immediately seated. Waiter introduced himself and called me by name which was a nice 'touch' as this was our first time visit to the Pump House. Reservations highly recommended.
