The Pump House
Friday & Saturday 11a – 12a
Wonderful experience as always I say on the roof top. Great ambiance. Waiters were accommodating, friendly to my 8 year old son. Just awesome.
Very busy and a little understaffed. Our waiter was stretched thin but did a good job trying to be attentive.
We had a wonderful date night celebrating my birthday! I loved the outdoor seating next to the water, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome! We will be back!
Wonderful evening, the food was delicious, shrimp and grits is my go to meal. Peach cobbler for dessert. Only down side, the server was a bit over attentive, ie clearing dishes, glasses and bread basket before we were done. But not a problem, at all. I can wait to go back
Wonderful restaurant, great location, good food , good presentation,, and our waiter, Joey was an excellent waiter. He was very attentive and kind
Great food, outstanding service & wonderful atmosphere! We loved it!!
Service was excellent, food was wonderful and the view was spectacular. My daughter just came in from California and she loved it too! Thank you, I'll be back :)
I have been there a few times, one guest had been there once and had a terrible experience, and one guest had never been. I think you redeemed yourself with my friend who was had the bad experience and my friend who's birthday we were celebrating loved it. Thank you
John Brantley is the best server I've ever had
Loved the casual yet upscale feel of the restaurant, and the view of the river was perfect. Our server, Alan, was very friendly and made our experience special. The Pork Chop was amazing, I will defiantely be back.
I was disappointed by the brunch offering of grits and andouille sausage. Instead of sausage they substituted some low grade ham with chunks of fat. I knew something was not right at the restaurant but I couldn't put my finger on it. I brought half of it home and that's when I found the inferior meat. Very uncharacteristic for them. Food is usually impeccable.
The food was fantastic, but not over priced. The service was great and so was the view. The Pump House is one of my favorite restaurants. It never disappoints!
The food was good, but the service was very slow. Waited 10 minutes for a drink on 2 occasions. If they had been jam packed I can understand, but at most our server had 4 tables. They did comp the drinks which was nice. The food was good enough to give them one more chance.
The food was great. Our services was fantastic. We enjoyed the view and the ambience of the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back. Good time!! I personally enjoyed the meatball wrap.
A little out of the way but you can't beat the view of the river. Service was prompt, knowledgeable. The blackened tuna dish was a tad overcooked but still good. My friend had a salad that she said was very good.
Came both for my anniversary and a daughter's birthday celebration. Enjoyed our time both of the visits, along with the wonderful dessert we got for our celebrations.
The night was great. Started with corn muffins ands peach butter - delish. Moved on to calamari for the appetizer. Wonderful. We had the braised rabbit gnocchi, pan seared amberjack and 2 day brined pork chop. All were cooked to perfection. Raspberry ands vanilla cheesecake for dessert. Catawba sunrise for the drinks. Perfect. Only things more beautiful than the food or view were our servers. Jillian and Nicole were awesome. Attentive but not pushy. Friendly but not annoying. Can't wait to go back.
Great venue, great ambiance and good service. The food is a letdown. This was our second time trying Pumphouse. The first was for lunch and this was for dinner. The menu sounds amazing but isn’t executed well, especially when considering price. There are much better places to get a $30-40 meal if you are looking for good food.
All 6 of us enjoyed our food. Fish was cooked perfectly. Waiter was very attentive.
Second time and kept our perspective the same!! Lovely from beginning to end!! Unique and delicious meal. Local fare with unique flair. Service is outstanding and made it a special night again!
This was our first time dining here. We ordered all 4 courses and I must say the food was fantastic. We had the shrimp & grits and the pork chop for our entree’s. Our waiter (Joey) took very good care of us. It’s a bit pricey but falls in line with other fine dining restaurants serving a la carte. The view was great and we got to watch a big storm roll in. Expect to drop $100.00+ for a meal for 2. We will be back to try some of the other dishes. Thanks to the owners, the chef, and the staff for a nice dining experience.
Jeanie was incredible! It was my boyfriends birthday and I had requested a nice Sauvignon blanc to be waiting for us upon arrival. The wine was excellent, Jeanie made great recommendations, and the view outside was spectacular. 10/10 recommend.
Excellent setting overlooking the river. Very good service and an excellent wine and mixed drink menu. Three out of the four entree’s were very good. The “braised short rib” was disappointing. Very fatty and little meat.
Great service and excellent food! Nice view
Food and service were fantastic, as always!
I had the lunch special which was a crab cake sandwich. It was wonderful! My 2 friends both loved their lunches. One had a HUGE salad and the other had ahi tuna (she said it was cooked perfectly). Tori was an attentive waitperson without hovering. We ate outside on an absolutely perfect weather day. An overall great experience.
YUMM! The Pump House has been on our list since it opened and we finally made the trek to go! (Also, why did we wait so long, it's really not that far!) The view on the water is surprisingly beautiful and relaxing! The food and drinks were wonderful and our service was superb! If you go, ask for Phillip! He was attentive, kept our waters full and made sure we had everything we needed! He gave wonderful unbiased recommendations and none steered us wrong! The cocktails were fresh and the pimento cheese mac is a MUST! Make the trip, it's worth it!
Our waiter Mike was exceptional as well as the food.
Fantastic place to celebrate our anniversary! Jeannie was an awesome server and the food was delicious! Excellent views of the river. A+
Everyone was really friendly and very accommodating. Food tasted awesome!
Enjoyed Sunday brunch with my daughters. Everything was great! We sat on the outside patio overlooking the water. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon.
Its a great place to eat or have a few drinks an look at the river. Food is outstanding an i will come back.
Delicious food, great service & terrific outdoor seating!
Everything about our experience was amazing. We had a table of 10 for my husband’s birthday. Our server Jillian was phenomenal.. bright, timely, knowledgeable, fun, was the perfect fit for our group. Service was fast when needed and paced nicely for an evening out. Food was stellar... some of the best we have had in our world travels right in our back door. The night was a raving success for us!
Great food professional staff. Always a treat with a view
What a lovely surprise on a gray Saturday afternoon. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter Shayne was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Definitely a keeper restaurant.
Lovely view of the river accompanied by a wonderful special cocktail who, could ask for more?
Family in town, just dined for lunch. Great food, service & ambience!
Our first trip to the Pump House will not be our last!! Lunch was very good; shrimp and grits were creamy with a little bit of zest. The tuna was perfect with risotto. The cobbler dessert while good was more like a square than a cobbler. Loved the river view as kayaks and rafts float by.
The food was really good. It was more expensive than one table had it listed. A family of 4, we spent $240. Ouch. I could see for a special occasion having dinner here, but for a family meal it was too much.
OMG Fabulous food and very helpful accommodating wait staff!! Have the special entree and it was amazing. My hubby has pork chop with grits and loved it as well.
