Del equipo detrás de el Blackbird and Avec traemos este homenaje a la cerveza, la carne de cerdo y pescado. El chef ejecutivo Paul Kahan y el Chef de Cuisine, Cosmo Goss, han desarrollado una red de proveedores para abastecer el restaurante con pescados y mariscos capturados de forma sostenible seleccionados a mano, así como carne de cerdo de la más alta calidad criado también de forma sostenible. Summer’s heating up, and so is our Sunday Supper Club series—back with a menu that brings Caribbean warmth to the table. Join sous chef Jerry Griffin and grill queen Sweetie Manigault for a three-course Caribbean-inspired dinner featuring the bold, soulful flavors they grew up with. From stewed oxtail and johnnycakes to jerk cauliflower steak and rum cake, this menu is packed with comfort and sunshine. I’ve been to a bunch of farm to table restaurants in the last few years, but they’ve always been a little lacking. The Publican has been th exception. The food here is fantastic. I know that they are known for their meat dishes, but their vegetables are treated as their own dish instead of being a side. The carrots are just phenomenal. I don’t even like carrots, but these are crazy good. They roast them and they end up convent the flavor. The cauliflower was just as good. On to the meat. The chicken was probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. This is where the farm to table concept shines. You just can’t buy these in a grocery store. The chicken was juicy, tender, and actually had flavor. The ham is another example of letting the ingredient speak for itself. It was a cured and smoked Virginia ham that was sliced like prosciutto. I never knew that something like that was made here in the US. If you’ve felt let down by farm to table restaurants in the past, give this place a try. It’s great.

Great food. Loved the red wine poached eggs--perfectly cooked and perfect flavor. Lively place. Would have been nice to know when we made the reservation that it was for a communal table. not much room between seats at this table. You are shoulder to shoulder. We were seated next to some ladies with three small, noisy, messy kids. One of them actually said, "This place was a great idea because the kids can scream all they want and you can't hear it because it's so noisy in here." Yeah, we could hear it. Definitely took away from our experience, but that's the gamble for a communal table.

Went for brunch. Left very disappointed. Waffles cold and hard, fried chicken also cold. Bacon was redeeming, but overall I wouldn’t go back for brunch.

Our food and service was great. I was bummed they had sold out of a few items, but it forced me to try the hake. I am now a fan and strongly recommend hake! I had a swinging door booth for the first time, it was OK, in general the seating situation there although unique, is not my favorite. But it's not nor should it be a deal breaker. Prices are reasonable, they are really the mama bear of pricing, they are not super cheap, nor are they sky high, they are just right

Great food! First time diner. The server explained that the portions were meant to share, small plate style where people should be ordering two thing per person and that the food was brought at different times. This is so not true - food was family style - huge portions. The sharing (family style) is fine but we ordered a lot of expensive food based on this explaination. Food came all at once. Waitress never asked to refill wine. A resturant with this rep. should have it’s stuff together, we came for an experience - felt taken - turn and burned. Won’t be back.
