The food was fantastic. The service could have been better but it was fine overall. We sat outside and it was a nice environment with several people walking on the main street.

Rob Levitt did not disappoint on the menu choices or the quality of the food. We did the tasting menu and I highly recommend it. The only lacking part is the Hospitality. No real greeting when you cone in and the waiter almost made us feel like we were interrupting or bothering him.

Service was poor/every time we had even come near to finishing our food and appetizers, waitstaff was there to pick up our plates. The server was unpleasant as well and did not try to provide a good experience. Our food was cold. We sat outside - beware, vendors will be coming up to your table whether you are seated inside or outside because the restaurant allows them to enter the facility and does not do anything to stop them from interrupting your meal. To top it all off, we had a homeless man come up to our table at the end of our meal to drink our drinks. Will not be coming back.

Excellent dinner. Staff was excellent- very welcoming and professional. Amazing food and the root beer float cake was fantastic . Initially the music was loud but when I mentioned that to the waiter he immediately had it turned down. Would definitely recommend.

The quality of ingredients and preparations at The Publican are superb. Very friendly servers are knowledgeable ambassadors of their menu. Range of options remarkable, from great oysters through phenomenal meat. We were particularly happy with the wide variety of veggie options since a member of our party is strict vegetarian and all of us enjoy green stuff along with those oysters and meats. The wine list is also very fun, with excellent value available via wines from regions less famous.

We were excited to get a table at The Publican. We sat outside. Pretty noisy and small ish tables. There was only 3 of us so it worked. First was our drinks order which was a little haphazard. I ordered a Cosmopolitan. I always order this everywhere I go. First they didn't have the type of vodka I like. No big deal I thought. When the drink arrived it was in the smaller tumbler ever. The reason, they had ran out of coupes. They bought me one later but really the drink was nearly gone it was tiny!!! Next the waiter told us between 3 of us we should order 5 dishes. We ordered 3, one being a side dish. The food was nice but didn't come out together as we had asked. The carrots were cold and had to be sent back. The chicken dish was massive!! Too much food for us 3. It was actually ridiculous. The waiter should have said that dish was big. The staff clearing the tables were also a little over zelous! We barely put a fork down and they were there. Just a little too much. When asked about the size of the dessert that too was downplayed. Then arrived without with crackers. The manager did come over unprompted to offer and apology for what she call 'a bumpy service'. Considering how long this place has been here you would think they would have got their act together by now.

A Fulton Market classic. I love this place. Fresh food and expert flavors. Go even if you don't eat meat... the veggies are to die for.
