I normally do not write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. Let me start by saying that my husband & I had previously dined many times at this location when it was Todd English PUB & considered it one of our favorite LV restaurants. Well, not anymore especially since Todd English is no longer associated with the restaurant. MGM Restaurants made a huge mistake with that one. I had read some of the negative reviews but wanted to know for myself so we ate at The Pub on our last trip to LV. It was a Saturday evening & our 1st clue about how bad it was going to be was how empty the restaurant was when we arrived for our 7pm reservation. The food & beer menu at The Pub is nowhere near as extensive as it used to be. Once our beers arrived, we ordered a couple of sandwiches, a hamburger for my husband & a grilled chicken sandwich for me. Then we waited & waited. Now I could understand a delay if the restaurant was busy or crowded but that definitely was not the case. Anyhow, our food finally arrived (now almost 7:45). That's when things took a turn for the worse. My husband ordered a medium burger, however, it was prepared well done. My grilled chicken sandwich had no grill marks on it & tasted like the chicken had been boiled, not grilled. It was truly tasteless & inedible. I took 1 bite of the pickle that was on the plate & did not take another bite. My husband did the same. The only things that tasted good were the French fries & the beer. During all of this, the waitress never came back to the table to check on us to see how our meals were even though she walked by our table 2-3 times. When she finally did stop at our table to ask if we wanted another round of beers, I told her that I could not eat the sandwich & to take it away. She asked if I wanted something else & I told her "no." Quite truthfully, I did not want to chance anything else. She did have my meal taken off of our bill. Needless to say, we will not be going back.
Our service was fantastic and we took advantage of their happy hour which was a nice reprieve from the expense of Vegas! It was quiet enough to have a conversation but a great atmosphere and ambience for a Pub type restaurant! I would definitely recommend to friends and will go back!
Be forewarned—Todd English is no longer associated with THE PUB. This is now the equivalent of a mediocre neighborhood bar or chain restaurant. The ambiance is not even a good pub knockoff. The food is one step above dreadful: the fried pickles were greasy, the burger was standard and the prime rib was tough. Service was OK. No reason to spend the $ or calories here.
Great service... food was ok..
I've been eating at The Pub for decades (back when it was the Todd English Pub). I like the new changes! Same great food and drink, but lower prices and a killer happy hour. There's a reason all the locals flock to this place :)
Was upset to find out that this restaurant is no longer a Todd English restaurant and the recipes have changed. It used to carry unique items, now it is just a pub that you can find anywhere. So sad.
Absolutely the worst meal we ever had. Terrible food and service
Used to be Todd English PUB was great. Now just The Pub. Not very good. Small portions. Food not very good.
Was perfect for our family. Two wanted to watch football and there were lots of screens.
We got right in, very casual and everyone liked their food.
Great Happy Hour deals, not as kid friendly due to the ultimate fighting highlights.
The PUB is always good food and service. The Lobster Roll keeps us coming back
Disappointed! Booked reservations in October for Todd English’s Pub which we have eaten at several times only to find out that it was no longer the same restaurant. It changed December 31st. The menu is totally different. Food and service were quite a disappointment.
No longer Todd English Pub.
We went there for New Year's Eve dinner. Our plan was not having to get dressed up for dinner since we wanted to be outside at midnight and layers of clothing was suggested. We search Open Table for possible places we could make reservations and found many restaurants had a special meal or weren't taking reservations through Open Table.
We were forewarned by other reviewers that this was changing management. So we went there in the afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to see the new menu had shrimp cocktail (which my husband wanted) and comfort food - shepherd's pie. The shrimp were very large and the sauce was good. The shepherd's pie was more mashed potato than filling, but it was very delicious. We also had a variety of beers to choose from, which is what we wanted.
The service at the bar (where we started) was very friendly and our waitress at the table was very attentive. Considering that it was a holiday, we were pleased with the excellent service.
Was good but ownership seems to changed and not same menu as when Todd English
Was concerned about the change in management- but pleasantly surprised! We’ve been regular customers for many years, and had a wonderful meal last night. Absolutely delicious Rotisserie Chicken! Thank you!
When I booked the reservation it was for Todd English. When we got there we found out that it was no longer Todd English but had been taken over by MGM resorts three days earlier and the menu had changed. The new menu was very limited. My sister ordered the shepherds pie, but apparently the beef for this was not ready and wouldn't be for at least an hour so she couldn't get it. Why would you not have the beef ready for one of the few dishes you have on the menu at the dinner hour. Also they put old bay seasoning on the fries, which thankfully the waitress told us before we ordered as I would not want that on my fries so at least I was able to order them with no seasoning. The waitress was very good in trying to answer our questions as we went there expecting a different restaurant and menu. It would have been nice to have been told about the change when I made the reservation.
This restaurant is no longer Todd English’s PUB. It’s just called the PUB. The waitress was nice but the food awful. We used to love the Lobster Roll. It was just BAD. No flavor at all. I do not recommend this New place.
Trisha was awesome!
Great pub food and drinks! The junk chips were the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best oysters on the half shell in Las Vegas. Craft beer for all taste
The food was hot and delicious ... the beer was great Greenflash!
Food was good. We were told Todd English would no longer be associated with the business and his name would be dropped at the end of the year. The menu will be altered. It would be run by MGM and only called the PUB. So going forward I will have review it again.
Excellent Bloody Marys and brunch options. Several Tv's for watching sports
We went here Because we heard that they had to have best bloody Mary in all of Vegas. We were not disappointed. It was a little pricey but I must have at least once in your lifetime. I had the French toast with fresh berries which was delicious and my husband had the fish and chips but she enjoyed as well. Service was slow. The food came out before our drinks. And it took quite a while for us to get our check yet. It was a Sunday morning so we were not in the rush. I would recommend it for a weekend brunch
Food was okay, service was poor.
No problem getting a table for seven for Saturday brunch, which was nice, but perhaps I should have guessed why. There wasn't anything objectionable, per se, but none of our party were terribly happy with their food (one of my companions had a lobster roll which was mostly bread) and the food took a really long time (nearly an hour) to come out. The beer list is extensive and the servers had good knowledge of the beer and food options. I'd probably give it a miss, only because there are so many options in Vegas.
Very good. Excellent pastrami
Food is terrible. It has clearly no longer a Todd English pub. I believe the menu changes yet again shortly, they are NOT at all in tune with the great food they used to serve.
Computers were down all kegs were down. Had reservation sat us in very back against wall. They did move us and were nice. Drinks - martini no olives and hot. Beer in a can no glass or kegs. Not special and not worth money
The food is below average and the service extremely slow. Very disappointing and no news to spend time at this establishment while in Las Vegas. It is very disheartening that people have rated this restaurant so well as it is mediocre. Ratings like this make me question the value of open table stars.
Marginal at best
$35 Bloody Mary was poor, drinks were over priced
The food that topped the ultimate Mary was ice cold
We love the Lobster rolls and onion rings. The beer is good too. The service lacked, I believe because our server had three large parties, in addition to several smaller tables
Fun place. Good food and good service.
Staff was friendly and my husband's eggs Benedict was great. However, the server brought my husband a second $14 beer before his glass was 1/2 empty and did not ask him if he would like another. We went there because I wanted to try the All about Mary Bloody Mary. When it came out the chicken wings were raw. The food that came with the Bloody Mary was not really even warm. It looked impressive but we will not be back and won't recommend to others.
Awesome place for the boys!
Great food and nice people!
Great food and service! TV’s were adequate for watch baseball game. Wish there were more TVs and larger for deep inside the restaurant.
good beer selection, good food, great service
This restaurant is inside a mall. It was not the Vegas scene we were looking for. Most every place was booked for a party of 8. This place on a Friday night was pretty empty. It was just quiet and secluded. Most everyone's food was good, nothing special. Service was fine. Prices were reasonable. Just did not have the Vegas vibe.
