The Prime Street Grille Ratings and Reviews
Every piece of seafood I had was over cooked (lobster tail, shrimp imperial, surf and turf). Meals sound great on the menu but didn’t deliver in flavor or cookery when they arrived at the table. I did think the portions were generous. The drink menu was good. I’d recommend this place for a happy hour. Maybe my expectations were high because the restAurant is featured on open table. I was disappointed.
This was my first time attending this venue and it was exceptional i have been telling everyone i know about it since i have left it! If i lived in the area i would go everyday! But rest assure everytime that i am in the area i will be coming to dine there!!!! this place is wonderful...
Far exceeded expectations.
Already made reservations for our 47th Anniversary later this month. Over 40 miles from my residence and worth the drive. Best food I’ve had in years. Wife and I dine out 3 times a week, just returned from Hawaii, and can’t name a better restaurant.
Overall, I was unimpressed with our dining experience this time. I ordered the bone-in ribeye, medium rare. The steak came out very rare and I had to send it back twice before I could get it to a med-rare. But after the 3rd heating and cooling, the steak was quite dry. The quality of the meat of the ribeye was not great either...quite a bit of extra fat and silver skin around the outside. My wife ordered the petite filet and that came out very rare as well, but she didn't want to send it back. The sides were good as well as the appetizers. Because of the issues with the steak, the manager gave us a free dessert which was good. Service was slow overall.
We have been here a few times and my general impression of this restaurant is that they are trying to be fine dining...and there are flashes of things that they are doing right, but overall where they are lacking is in consistency. The difference between a good restaurant and a great one is consistency. Not in menu, but in consistency of quality in everything they do. They are just lacking this consistency.
I've been to Prime Street Grille several times. The drinks are always good. The service is always good. On Dec 31. I ordered the cowboy steak, no seasoning taste bland and I was not happy at all with the meal not at all. When you pay 36.00 for a steak. You expect a good seasoned steak. I didn't care for the mash potatoes. I got the tomato and cucumber salad. The tomato was chopped in small pieces and the cucumbers and full of corn. Terible. Didn't want the corn. They had lots of corn and chopped small pieces of tomatoes and cumber...I wont be back for a long long time. Terrible for New Years Eve...Thank you
We went for lunch on Christmas Eve after church. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was great. The waitress was very friendly and answered our questions. I got the crab imperial topped rock fish and it was amazing. I really loved it and we will go again.
It is a solid choice if you are in Southern Maryland. Had the filet mignon with optional Oscar topping. It was very good. The two sides (au gratin and Cajun rice) were not as good and were pretty much room temperature on arrival at the table. But overall good choice if you dont feel like driving up to DC.
This was our second time dining here and it was excellent! The waitstaff is always courteous, prompt, attentive without being overbearing. Just lovely. Prime Street Grill is quickly becoming one our favorite restaurants. We even dined at the same table as the first time.
Pleasantly surprised. First time patron with no real expectations other than is was a convenient location for the timing of our date. The decor was subdued and fresh. My date commented on how well put together the main dining room was. The service was great and professionally provided. We found all the choices on the menu appealing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want seafood that does not have an overwhelming ‘Old Bay’ taste.
First, the food was great, but I was very disappointed in the service. The girl said she was new, so I was understanding about things, but she should’ve been trained better. First, I ordered a steak and she didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked. When I got my steak it was done medium, I prefer mine medium rare but I didn’t say anything. The quality of the food is good enough that it didn’t make it in edible. At no point was my water glass refilled, so I had one glass of water the entire meal. My friend and I wanted to get dessert, but we were handed the bill before we could order it. I ended up handing her the bill back and asking for dessert. I’ve been here once before, and when I ordered dessert, bread pudding, it came with ice cream, but for some reason this time it did not, again, I did not say anything. And finally after I paid, I wanted to get a box to put the rest of the dessert in, but she never came back to our table or even looked our way to ask if we needed anything. I had to ask another server to please get us a box so I could leave.
Great food as usual. Service seemed a little rushed -- appetizers and salad arrived together and entrees arrived while we still enjoying appetizers. We were reserved for a 6:30 seating and there didn't seem to be another seating -- certainly no waiting for our table. So I didn't understand the rush. My steak was cooked perfectly and sides were terrific, as always. We had a terrific bottle of Moet Champagne to celebrate our anniversary and the chocolate cake dessert was the perfect finish. This is easily the best restaurant in Waldorf - LaPlata, dramatically exceeding the low bar, which that standard implies. Prime Street Grille is my favorite restaurant, despite the unusually rushed service Saturday night.
It was so loud at this place on Friday nite. The 3 of us at our table had to shout at each other to have a conversation. A lot of the noise seemed to be coming from a large party of about 12 people that were seated in the same room. Food not as good as on previous occasions. Fried calamari was cooked nicely but it had a really weak red sauce that had no flavor. The creme brulee was underdone, like soup with melted sugar on top.
