Located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Greenville, SC, this modern speakeasy offers an intimate and unique cocktail bar experience. The Press Room was designed to honor Greenville’s history and incorporates cherished relics from The Greenville News. From its entrance, evoking an editor’s room, to a menu featuring signature drinks inspired by the newspaper, The Press Room pays tribute to The Greenville News, which stood on the hotel site for more than 75 years.

Bit of a mixed experience. Service and drinks were good, but just crazy expensive. A very small old fashioned was $21, an equally small French 75 was $18, the space is fine but nothing really special. Especially during the Apres pop up which is sponsored by Veuve Cliquot, but no drinks made with Veuve? Don’t plan on returning.

It’s really cute, but the drinks are mediocre and the snacks are really subpar a couple handfuls of burnt microwave popcorn for $6 is👎🏼👎🏼

Apres ski lounge pop up was nice. Craft cocktails were well designed and good Knocked it down 1 star overall as snack hor’dourves need to be more substantial and more variety. Tried 3 of 4. The bbq beef jerky was good, but not suitable if soy allergy and was bad without the bbq sauce.

I booked a reservation here on a whim and I’m so glad I did! The ambiance was amazing with a great view. I enjoyed the music and the fact that it was never overcrowded since a reservation is required. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bourbon drink off the menu. I went with the “dealer’s choice”. Our server, Kimmy, made me such a fabulous drink, I ordered a second one! We will definitely come back the next time we’re in Greenville.

We have been there several times and with the change in bartenders it just seemed different. We had a good enough date night but it wasnt the “experience” it had been. I missed Harrison a bit.

As you “check out “ the press room online one of the constants is “Harrison is wonderful” and now we know why. From the time you step off the elevator you are transported to another time and as you enter your code and the door slides left you are in the experience. Harrison is the orchestrater and narrator for the ride of food spirts atmosphere and knowledge along with being treated as if you’ve been going there for years, I’ve been in the restaurant world for decades and have never ever had an experience like this one. Don’t listen to the very few haters, for what we got to drink, sample, the cheese and humus boards, the education, the music the amazing choices of fine bourbons and the customer forward attitude by Harrison made this night well worth it, It’s not going to place for a drink, it’s an experience and a show directed by a master of his trade that left the four of us pleased. It’s worth it, you wont regret it.

Harrison is an awesome bartender. We ordered 4 drinks “dealer’s choice” and every one of them were perfect! There weren’t many people there as we went early on a Thursday. Harrison was very personable and a great conversationalist with all the tables while keeping the drinks full! We will definitely be back especially when friends come to visit. It felt like we were at a friend’s house that wanted to show off their amazing bar and cocktail skills

The Press Room has quickly become a favorite for date night. Harrison creates an amazing experience for my wife and I where we cannot wait to bring others. Perfect for before or after dinner! We did not eat here but I am sure that is great as well!

Nope. $100 NOT well spent. Trying way too hard with the “code.” One bartender, one cocktail waitress, and they both like to sit down with guests. They are nice (until not) and the bartender is working hard (but badly), but it’s just off. Food pitiful (watery, flavorless hummus, cold “toasted” (read: stale) bread you’ll break your teeth on) and I’m confident in saying that the cocktails - the MAIN EVENT - were the worst I’ve ever had. Full on gross. The first one I attempted was like nail polish remover mixed with extra thick Bailey’s. The bartender wasn’t really interested in listening to what my mom wanted, just made what he wanted to. Bartender and server are okay with telling you you’ll have to wait because they have other guests to bring things to. I got a death stare when I brought my gross drink back - to exchange for another failure. Couldn’t get the check because the inappropriately dressed server was sitting and hanging out with a group of girls at another table. Disappointed is not even the word. Expected far better, especially at a Marriott property. The valet guys, however, get an A+.

This was highly recommended by a colleague, but the service was slow and sometimes would not check on us for 15-20 mins, even though she was waiting on Leas than 8 people. The drinks were ok, but overpriced. Our waitress left us for an extended period of time so I went up to the bar to settle my bill. Our waitress was sitting behind the bar eating take-out food. Will never go back not recommend.

I went with five of my 50-something friends to kick off a laid back bachelor party. Harrison is excellent as always. He consulted with everyone and got them the cocktails they were happy with. The room was relaxed and made it easy for conversation. Press Room is my favorite spot in Greenville.

Very overpriced. The drinks were good, and the charcuterie plate was, as well, but there's no reason that two drinks and a charcuterie plate should come to $70 before tip. I will give a HUGE kudos to Kimmi the bartender, though, because she was kind enough to chase me down to give me back my credit card.

Great vibe! Harrison is a creative mixologist and wonderfully engaging human being. He steered us to just the cocktails we were looking for. When he found out we were new to the area (and a couple of foodies) he took the time to share some of his favorite hidden gems for us to explore. My husband and I will be frequenting the Pressroom for all it has to offer - especially Harrison.

I brought my parents here while they were visit from out of town and we had the best time. Kimberly and Daniel made our entire experience so much fun. We did dealers choice drinks and they brought out some of the best drinks we’ve had in town. They both were fun to talk to and we already can’t wait to go back!

Reviewing this experience as a 5/5 doesn’t do it justice. If I could I would give it a 1000/5. Harrison is the best thing that has happened to the Press Room. He created such a special experience for us. We always bring our out of town visitors here as a unique experience and last night delivered!! Fantastic service, fantastic staff, fantastic drinks.

I have been here many times with friends. It’s my go to for a fun cocktail spot! Always fun walking and and the bartender is amazing! Always comes to talk to you and gets to learn about what you want in your drink! He has made me a surprise drink many times and they are always amazing

My wife and I were out on date night what a date we had with Harrison! It happened to be just us and we had the best time learning about cocktails and the craft of making them. Harrison is a supremely gracious host and the Press Room quickly became our favorite spot in Greenville!
