What Insiders Are Saying
The Preservery isn't doing anything particularly unique, but they are doing things Denver likes very well.
The food was amazing, and we were given some solid local tips by our server. One of my new favorite brunch spots in Denver!
The service was incredibly slow. We got our appetizer before our drinks. It was not very busy at the time. The food was decent and the place does have a great vibe.
DJ and music were too loud.
Appetizer dishes (buffalo cauliflower and brussel sprouts were so big, we decided not to order dinner and took some home. They were tasty though. Music a little loud to converse at our table.
Tried this awesome restaurant in the Rino district, owned by a local couple from Boulder. Awesome food, signature cocktails, great ambiance and completely chill. Great visit and we’ll come again!
excellent place for Brunch and the owners are awesome!
First time trying to Preservery. Didn't know it was DJ Brunch, so it was too loud for my taste. Food was good. I will check next to see if the music will be loud.
Always a great!! Solid food and even better staff!!
Our server was delightful and attentive. The restaurant itself is bright and energetic, and very clean! Our food was VERY okay for the price we paid. $14 for a grilled cheese that was more grease than bread, $20 for “bottomless” mimosas that are capped after 2 hours.
Great brunch menu - we had Brunch fries, grilled cheese and tomato bisque, Sunrise Harvest Omelette and Potato Croquettes - all were fantastic.
Really lively place. Enjoyed our brunch for Father's Day! Waitress was top notch and food was delicious.
An interesting space but very echo prone and music playing to loud. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Try the cauliflower appetizer and the shrimp and grits. We had a good time but had to almost shout at each other to communicate. Will try it again the atmosphere might have been an anomaly.
We had such a great brunch! Our server Trey was amazing! Food was delicious! Very excited to try their dinner menu next time!
Had brunch here. Food was good. Music was good, a little louder than I’d prefer but didn’t seem to bother most. The Rose’ Berry jam is delicious.
Made a last minute reservation with no knowledge of this place at all. I really enjoyed it. Had a couple of drinks on the patio and went in for dinner. We ended up having small plates. I loved the wings! Great place to get together with a small group of friends.
My family and our out-of-town guests deeply enjoyed our meal at The Preservery! The food is spectacular, comforting but heightened. Hats off to Chef Coop for elevating classic cuisine.
Greek fries were delicious. Good service. Overall good experience.
Food was solid. Service was great
Great atmosphere and service! We had the burger and the wings and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Great list of cocktails, beer and wine as well.
The food is the best in the city! Them Potato croquettes are so FIRE!! The owners great you with a smile, it’s just a great place to be.
We went for brunch. The staff is amazing and so kind. We sat near the bar and Natalia and Sam? I think helped us. Both were quick and constantly checking on us. Very sweet too, people like this make the experience that much better! Let’s get to the food! We split shrimp and grits and the Waygu beef burger with breakfast potatoes. Both were awesome. The burger has a great flavor with a nice sat to it. One of the tastier ones I’ve had in awhile. While normally potatoes are just potatoes, these are really good little salted cubes which are cooked perfectly! The shrimp and grits were outstanding! Everything blended well together. I had the tequila cocktail on the menu that was crisp and refreshing. This brunch was a home run! We had been for dinner and loved it but I didn’t realize brunch was so great and fun! We will be back often as we live close. Thanks to all the staff for helping make this such a good meal! Well done Preservery!!
I was disappointed there was no consistency in the drinks. I thought the food presentation was odd. Steak served on a cutting board yuck. Steak was over cooked. Salad entree with steak was stuffed in a bowl. There was no way to properly eat it without taking half of it to the appetizer plate. Service was slow, mediocre. The atmosphere is great & the drinks, food and service could use improvement.
We loved everything about this place but the music level!
The prices for food were very high. We only got an appetizer to share and 3 drinks. Bill was over $50. Won’t go back.
The chef is outstanding. Really liked the food. Awesome cocktails.
We went for brunch on Sunday - the service and food were great, but the noise level was overwhelming for a restaurant. The DJ had the volume at the level you would expect in a club for dancing, so everyone had to shout to have a conversation, which only increased the noise level.
This restaurant is independently owned and run by a small but mighty group of employees. Obie and Rebecca are so hospitable and personable they go out of the way to make sure we are satisfied with our visit every time!! which is once a month for Brunch with the So What the Club Dj set. The food is filling and overflowing with Flavor. Coop the Chef always steps out to check on our meals . Great friendly and family run eatery LOVE it !! don't want to say too much more about his great place and give my table away!!
Prior to this review, I was a fan of The Preservery, and considered it a good neighborhood venue with excellent food and friendly service. Over the course of the last few months, however, I feel like the level of service has declined to the point where I can no longer recommend it. The following is consistent with my experiences lately. I made a 7:00 reservation for a party of 2 on a Saturday night and arrived at 7. The hostess was not immediately available at the front desk, but arrived within a few minutes to explain that they didn't have any open tables for two, and asked if we wanted to be seated at a 6-top with another party of 2 seated on the other end, with the 2 seats in between us empty. We were fine with that, as we had plenty of room between us. Shortly after we were seated, our waitress came by and took our order, warning us that the bar was running a little slow (this, specifically, has occurred the last few times for me). We placed our drink and food orders, and proceeded to wait another 25 minutes before we got our drinks; the food would arrive 5 minutes after that. In that time, our waitress never came back to the table, and we were considering leaving altogether. Additionally, they jammed another couple in the center spot which made for an awkward dance of arranging dishes between a full table of strangers. The food was very good, for the most part, though the garlic aioli that accompanies the wings was absolutely tasteless. I am writing this review in hopes that management addresses the main issue which seems that they are, at the very least, under staffed. The experience was irritating and disappointing. I will not be returning there any time soon.
Brunch is amazing here. Pretty much anything on the menu is a good choice!
Good food. It’s over priced, and they add another 4% onto your bill to support some socialist agenda for an arbitrary minimum wage standard that’s a political statement. I don’t go spend my money to deal with politics. I spend my money to be served. I would have given a 25% tip like I normally do when I go out, but their political statements in their own menus had me reconsider.
It was a pretty terrible blind date, but the Irish coffee really helped. Everything else was great.
Very beautiful atmosphere and loved the setup. The service could’ve been a bit nicer, but the food was excellent.
Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Decent. Haha
Service was rough .
Food was very good.
Love this place. Great food, great service, great vibe.
Absolutely loved the Preservery! Food came out quick and was so tasty. Drinks and service were good as well. Sat at the bar and the only 2 minor complaints was the DJ was a little too loud to comfortably hold a conversation and there was almost no room between the barstools and high tops
I really wanted to love The Preservery. To start, the space is really cool and has a good vibe but it's so loud in the restaurant so it's hard to have a conversation. The food was mediocre and left me with just a "meh" feeling. I ordered the lamb sliders and they were way too salty. I took a few bites but couldn't finish them.
The service was ok. When the server came over, he was polite and attentive. The only problem is, he didn't come by very often so my drink glass sat empty for most of my meal.
The server came at the end of the meal and asked if I wanted a box to take home the food I didn't eat. I told him no thank you, I didn't really like the sliders because they were too salty. He was surprised I didn't like the food but didn't do anything to try to make the situation better.
Overall, it's a cool space in a cool part of town but the food wasn't good enough for me to come back.
Server/bartender was Awesome.
Food was Delish and dessert was Sweet !! We'll be back again soon. Nice location near Epic Brewery !!
Extremely delicious food, great people, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
It was our 8th anniversary and we decided to go out on the town to celebr
