The Preservery Ratings and Reviews
Made a late reservation with some friends here for NYE. We were all very impressed and loved it. Warm environment, very accommodating staff, fun art, and a great food and cocktail menu. Can't wait to try brunch...we'll be back soon for sure, and next time we won't bring silly string :) Thanks again for a fantastic evening!
Best Ingredients. Best Taste. Every one of my guests have said that the food was absolutely the most delicious, and I can trust that every item is crafted individually with care, and uses the very best ingredients. Once you know and can trust that, then the unique combinations are just fun and yum! And the owners cook, bake and are always there.
The food started out great with a cheese board and beef tips, but the entrees and soups were very over seasoned. Way too salty and hard to enjoy. Drinks were good. Service was disappointing. We had separate checks and our waitress asked us to separate it out instead of doing it herself. Kind of lazy we thought. Also, this is a “non-tipping” restaurant, but they automatically added a 20 percent charge to the entire bill, and then tax you on that 20 percent as well! Plus, it takes away our ability to tip our waitress as we feel appropriate, which was not 20%. Also removes the motivation for the server to do a good job. Probably won’t return here for dinner.
Great ambiance and service. Appetizer burrata was amazing, drinks were great. salads came out nothing like their descriptions on the menu, many of the ingredients listed were not on the plate and others were added ( a big problem for those with food allergies).
We had an excellent evening at the Preservery. The food was very good, service friendly, crowded and noisy but fun atmosphere. My caution to anyone planning a meal is allow yourself plenty of time. Our order was taken relatively early on but the drinks and food arrived more slowly, sometimes after a gentle reminder. We weren't in a hurry so didn't mind and their friendliness made up for the slow pace. But if you are someone who doesn't like to wait once you've been seated, I'd suggest that this isn't your restaurant. Also they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill, so if you aren't ok with that, then this isn't your restaurant either.
I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Our server was very nice, however there was a missed appetizer, one entree arrived 10 minutes before the rest, we were given the wrong bottle of wine and when we went to order another they were out.
The flavor of the food was good, however way over priced for what we got.
GF & I had a great dinner. Started w drinks at bar w great service & my old fashioned was on point. Small plates of shrimp &grits and tri-tip skewers were both really flavorful and satisfying. I didn't find the cheese & charcuterie plate to be anything special but was fine. Service was attentive & helpful.
Amazing food and drinks. A bit on the pricier side but for the quality and quantity of food you get it is really a steal. Their homemade bread and self- grown and pickled crudités are amazing, and all of the entrees are outstanding. Great Denver vibe, great bar that opens to a patio when the weather is nice (which it typically is). Highly highly recommend!
Had an AMAZING experience dining with my mom after wedding dress shopping! The owner waited on us and was so super friendly! Brunch was phenomenal! Who knew a simple egg, potato and bacon dish could be so gourmet and we'll done! I am truest impressed with the fun atmosphere and incredible food.
The perfect spot for its location. Compact menu, but nice options for sharing and grazing. Prepared items (e.g. salmon rillettes) were better than made-to-order (grilled beef skewers).
Cool space and overall vibe. Friendly if somewhat random service. Maybe not a destination spot, but perfect if you're in RiNo for other reasons.
Food was great - just not busy so they told us at 8:45pm that the kitchen will close and no more food. Not sure why you also would clean around people who are still eating and drinking....
We get it this was a quite evening, but if you have costumes you will have to keep it up and it wasn't after 11pm....
The small plates were larger than excited, we had the Poutine which was good and the octopus which was pretty bad. The manager made it up to us by comping a dessert, not necessary but greatly appreciated. We shared the charcuterie board, and the home made bread was really good but we really wish the had been a bit more offered in the way of the meat and cheeses, for the large board there was only 3-4 meats sliced paper thin and only a couple actual slices of each, and 2 cheese. Overall, the quantity for the price wasn't great, but the server was super friendly and helpful.
this place was such a gem, we enjoyed small plates and kept ordering more as we saw delightful foods to to adjacent tables, we wanted to try everything! the bread is perfection and the ambiance is fun. will definitely be back, it's a great place to bring friends from out of town and explore the RiNo.
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and decided to try something new. So glad we chose The Preservery for the special occasion. This place is a RiNo neighborhood gem that is worth the effort to get there. The service was casual but right on point and the food was creative and great tasting. Staff went out of their way to make our evening special, so welcoming and willing to share details about the food. The whole place had a very authentic feel......they were committed to the quality of their food and the overall guest experience. Already recommended it to several of our friends. Well done!
It was our second visit, and we tried the octopus - great especially with the grilled bread. We were sad that the hummus wasn't available, and also, the cheesecake was not on the menu. Two of us had the lamb which was excellent, and one had the chicken and she liked it. The beignets were great, and also the creamy dessert - I can't remember the name of it. Service was a little slow because of a new server, but the owners dropped by several times and checked on us. We'll be back.
