We have been to the Prescott a few times and this was by far the worst experience. The amuse bouche was delicious, but the plates were not cleared. A server delivered the wrong dinners to our table. Mine happened to be the same as the other table's, the rib eye, but my husband received the lamb shank instead of the pork shoulder. He did not recognize what it was and tasted it to find it was lamb, which he does not like. I offered to switch and I tasted it and it was described as "braised" but it tasted unseasoned so I took my steak back. The waitress for the other table told us it was not our food and said she would get the manager. The manager never came over. The waitress for our table was uninformed by the staff that there was a problem and was surprised to hear that my husband was still waiting for the correct dish. A bus girl followed up for us prior to our waitress coming back to the table to check for us. When the correct dish arrived, it was pretty good. I did not receive a steak knife for my rib eye and the bus girl also took care of that for me. I heard one of the other servers say that the owner/chef had just walked through the dinning room, however he never stopped by our table or the other table to apologize for the mix up. In fact no one apologized except for the bus girl. I will try this restaurant again after a while to see if they have fixed their service issues because some of the food is pretty good and the ambiance is very nice. To the owner: acknowledge when something goes wrong so you can fix it, have steak knives sent to the table before the dinner and clear used dishes from the table for a better dining experience. Also, give the bus girl a promotion :-)
Excellent food. Will return. Steak was perfectly cooked. Very creative plates and pairings. Wait staff were very friendly. Three star service review was due to food delivered to the wrong table and having to wait longer. However, the staff apologized and comp'd a starter plate. We will go back regardless of the service mishap - the food was that Good.
Fantastic. Try the rabbit stew for a true culinary experience.
We were very pleased with the lovely atmosphere and outstanding service by Tanya. Details are important at the Prescott, down the the pressed and carefully folded napkins/towels that elevated the tactile elements of the service. The celebratory prohibition special cocktail list was nicely adventurous.
The platter of local meats and cheeses was a delightful and creative first course, allowing the diners to create their own combinations and preferences. Our entrees, a lovely thick pork chop and the venison meatloaf suited each of our palettes. And the wonderful manager completely soothed over a bit of kitchen temperature/timing issue, with a complimentary dessert. Thank you for all your care, sophistication, and ambition for creating this gem to the Triad. I'm very happy to travel the extra distance for this outstanding venue.
Great food and atmosphere.
Food was REALLY good, had a couple of issues that quickly got resolved. Highly recommend this gem, it is worth making the drive from wherever you are in the Triad. Ask for Keely, she will take good care of you!
The ambiance was very pleasant and relaxing. The food was generally very flavorful, well prepared, and nicely presented, although a couple of dishes were over-salted (the mushroom soup, in particular). The service was fair, but not up to par with a higher-end restaurant.
The location and decor are great - tastefully decorated with a few different “zones” for eating. W
We really enjoyed our dinner at the Prescott. The food was superb and the service outstanding! We will be back!
Our server offered menu suggestions that were excellent! She extremely engaging!
The service was over the top. The lobster dip was a great starter. The venison meatloaf was great.
Christmas dinner with family
Enjoyed the brunch. Staff were awesome
This was our first time there. The food was a joy to look at and the taste was fresh and spot on.
Nice little restaurant near Paul Ceiner Gardens. A pleasant surprise for us in a near by city where we live. We had only read about this restaurant but it deserves a repeat visit on a less busy Friday night during the holidays. We had the sea bass and loved it. We plan to go back and take friends!
Very disappointed. Server was new (as she repeated several times) She was not familiar with the menu, and when one of our group of 6 ordered the Day's Entree Special, she was unfamiliar with it, and came back and said they were out, and it may be discontinued. Not encouraging. Three in our group ordered soup. Fancy presentation, but all three said it was lukewarm, not hot. Our group had 2 bottles of wine, but when bill came, up reviewing, an extra bottle was on the bill, and a fourth soup. About $50 of extra charges that we had to point out, and have removed. Won't be hurrying back. Too bad. We used to like The Prescott.
Nice evening. Food was fine, experience was fine. Would go back.
A real jewel in Kernersville, from the minute you walk through the door it has a wonderful ambiance, the food was amazing, our table had the duck, salmon and steak, all prepared perfectly. I would highly recommend The Prescott to anyone.
The menu offered wide variety and accommodated our group's diverse tastes. Quality of the food was outstanding and everyone was impressed with the taste. The service we received was top notch. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which was ideal for conversation among our team. I heartily recommend The Prescott and look forward to returning soon.
Very slow service (not the waiter's fault). They need to fix this.
Food is always good. Atmosphere nice and it was rather quiet that night. Relaxing place to enjoy dinner. Hope it will be open soon for lunch!
Delicious food and great staff! It reminded me of Kindred in Davidson. Highly recommended.
Food good but not spectacular. I would not say the price point was good either. Expensive mains.
A hidden jewel in our community. The food is outstanding. The service is a little slow but bring friends and talk as the atmosphere is great.
Fabulous food! All 6 of us ate every bite. A great place to celebrate and visit with friends. Truly an experience.
Experience was excellent as was the food. Never felt rushed to leave.
Best place in town!! Delicious food!!! The chef came out and talked with us. Definitely will return to Triad more dishes!
We frequent here often, and usually have a great meal, but this night was the exception. Our waitress emma came over and took drink orders as usual. It took about 10 min to get them, no big deal. We ordered and app and shortly after we ordered our dinner. We never received the amuse-bouche, which is complimentary to all tables. Then my wifes salad came before the app. We told the manager and he apologized and the app came about 7 min later. It was lackluster at best, like it was rushed. The food finally came, scallops werent cooked all the way and steak was lukewarm. My wifes spinach had no seasoning, and her butter poached lobster still had cartilage where it wasnt cleaned well. When the waitress finally came back to check on us we were fed up and ready to go. When asked why we didnt receive the amuse-bouche, the waitress started tearing up and apologized. Nothing was taken off the bill, i paid and left an undeserving tip and left with no further apologies from management.
This night was a stain on the little gem in kernersville
We really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious!
We had high hopes for the Prescott. Food was good. Not spectacular, but good. They don't honor reservations and continually forgot our orders. Perhaps they need more staff? Either way, not worth the small portions and long waits.
Meal took 2.5 hours from apps to dessert and our dinners were cold or luke warm at best.
Another great meal! Very accommodating with dietary concerns.
Food is fantastic and very creative. Seems like it took forever to be served however and missed some small touches such as salt and pepper on the table
Wonderful place in a very cute alley. Ingredients were thoughtful and seasonal.
We had a reservation for 7. Fot there at 6:45 and seated right away. Drink order was taken right away. Waited at least 20 minutes for food order to be taken. Didn't get our food until after 8pm. And the foos was mediocre at best. Steak had too much fat and the pirk chops were way too salty.
Delicious and freshly prepared, white table cloth settings with candlelight, attentive staff, menu offers fine dining options at affordable prices, nice wine selection, outdoor seating, and the best honeybee martini around! You will not be disappointed in anything this restaurant has to offer.
Friends have eaten there and highly recommended it. We were not disappointed and plan to make it a regular stop.
Food was amazing. Service needs a little work, but we’ll be back very soon!!
Great food and great service
