The Prancing Stag is a family-run, award-winning neighbourhood restaurant specialising in modern, seasonal Scottish food, with the restaurant being awarded an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence 2022/2023/2024.

The restaurant is just off of Crow Road beside Jordanhill train station, just three stops from the Exhibition Centre, Events Campus & OVO Hydro. We're also only a short walk from Scotstoun show ground for the Glasgow Warriors Games. So, perfect for all your meals & drinks pre (and/or post) match or concert.

Our front of house staff strive to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. And, if there's anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please get in touch.

We offer a set-priced and an a la carte menu, & we cater to all dietary requirements, with hopefully something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Lovely food and atmosphere, so delicate dishes. I had the veggie option which was gnocchi and blue cheese with lots of mushrooms very nice. The toffee pudding was yummy. It is quiet so you can follow conversations. Staff very friendly.

Sunday roast was amazing, we had beef and pork with all the trimmings. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Service was very friendly

First time here, won't be last! We had two courses each for an la carte menu, every mouthful fresh and tasty, beautifully presented and felt every ingredient had been carefully chosen to complement each other. No room for deserts but affogato made up for that. Service attentive and pleasant. Nice choice of cocktails and wines. Also do very reasonable fixed price menu and interesting looking tasting menu.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Prancing Stag and I can confidently say it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — each dish was clearly prepared with care and packed with flavour. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and it really enhanced the overall atmosphere of the place. I highly recommend, and will definitely be coming back.
