As always, our experience was wonderful. Thank you!
My 1st time at the Prado in probably 15 years, other than the “bar-type” menu of appetizers between meals on the front patio.
It was very forgettable: small servings, food wasn’t bad but nowhere near what I remember many years ago. Service was very good, and theview/ambiance very good too. I expected a lot of tourists but surprised by so many children ( most were well-behaved). I think the Cohns can do better.
Surprisingly, not happy with the service. I've been at the Prado with my family many times and this is the first time the service was not on point. I had a 4:30 reservation, and was passed up by the walk up crowd. Had to remind the hostess, of my reservation to get seated. Once seated, I almost had to get out of my seat to waive down a waiter for a second drink. The place was not even crowed. Once again surprisingly.
After all the hype and difficulty getting a reservation. It was freezing cold outside very limited menu. Choices were not the type of entree that commands a premium price. Staff was very good, more friendly than professional, which is not necessarily bad.
Ben was great. Fun time dining. Thank you for accommodating elderly mom with indoor seating. You guys rock!!
Too small serving for the price but overall- great service and best location.
We had a lovely time. Food and service was awesome. Felt covid safe with table distance.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch served by a friendly, service oriented waiter in a beautiful patio location.
Seated right away. Excellent server & service. Food very tasty
Ate on the patio, delicious ribeyes and drinks, absolutely wonderful. The server was attentive and amiable, the service prompt; couldn’t have asked for better.
Celebrating SDSU Commencement!
We were promptly seated in their beautiful outdoor area with ample room between tables. Our waiter was excited about the menu and gave super recommendations. All was good except the dish that he recommended wasn't that outstanding; Paella. Too bad everything else was fantastic.
Special lunch during our wedding week at The Prado where we first met 3 yrs ago!
Love it. Romantic~ and great service
Perfect place for a date night or a family night out. Outdoor seating is plentiful and if it’s cool out they have portable heaters! Drinks we’re flavorful and menu is tasty.
My favorite place in town!
Menu reduced to about half its normal selections; prices a bit high; service good.
There was no problem changing in an indoor table at the last minute. Very quiet! Food was lovely, service was great and we appreciated the free anniversary dessert!
We were looking forward to taking a friend out for a “thank you” dinner at The Prado. After not having a “nice” dinner for over a year we were excited.
The person greeting us was pleasant and was able to seat us outdoors.
Our server was nice enough. We ordered an appetizer…calamari fries. It was barely warm, chewy and not very tasty. The server kindly replaced it with a crab dip. No comment.
The crab dip was delivered to the table and within moments the entree arrived. The server apologized that the appetizer and entrees were pretty much delivered to the table at the same time. Wasn’t his fault…blame the kitchen.
I did enjoy the Daou Cabernet.
I know The Prado can do better. We’ve enjoyed lunch and dinner in the past.
Hopefully this was just an “off” night.
Before booking online, the restsurant was called to verify accuracy of the website. No one picked up, so voicemail was left. Based on website info, a reservation was made for the next day. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the website was in accurate and meal prefrences were not available. The response to the phone call request for information was not made until after our vist to the restaurant. The whole experiece felt like a bait and switch. Overall, a disappointing experience as a result.
Friends from out of town
This is a favorite of ours, and has been for years. It’s hard to beat the location, and the Cohn Restaurant experience is always great.
I think it was us who made all the noise but our services, food and ambiance was awesome! thank you for the best experience we had.
Disappointed in the food this time. Small menu and nothing special. Paella was very average and fish sandwich just okay. Love the ambiance for the outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Will give this another try down the road.
Wonderful food and service. Wish they would bring back valet parking, though. Difficult to get to for a disabled person.
Having very much enjoyed the Prado over the past few years, we were so happy to be able to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary there on Friday. Everything from start to finish was perfect -- and definitely worth the trip from Tucson. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list. His recommendations were spot on -- and truly, the appetizer kobe beef sushi was amazing. I know that we will both be ordering that on our next visit! I had the short ribs, which were perfectly cooked and delicious. My husband ordered the pork chop -- wow! The name "pork chop" does not do justice to the wonderfully tastiful pork that came from the kitchen. Perfectly matched with a mustard sauce and mashed potatoes, it was great. So -- definitely would give more than five stars for the evening, the service and the food. We will be back!
The menu was lacking and the food wasn’t outstanding. Service was good.
The setting is wonderful and the service outstanding! Scott took great care of us. We had a lovely table out on the back patio. Perfect experience!
Always a wonderful experience. The service is exceptional. Food great. Ambience beautiful.
Service was attentive and prompt. But the food was not worth the price. Fish tacos were very bland. And shrimp in the shrimp Cobb salad was overcooked
We always enjoy The Prado. It's a perfect place to meet with friends for lunch, and enjoy the outdoor patio. The food is excellent, the view is wonderful, and the service is always exceptional.
Celebrated a birthday
We have dined here often prior to the Pandemic. We always enjoyed the food and had excellent service. The food this time was a huge disappointment. I frequently order fish tacos, which are always seasoned perfectly and delicious. Yesterday, I was served a plate with 3 corn tortillas slapped on the plate, 3 fish stick size portions of fish and a blob of beans that appeared to have come right out of the can. Apparently, you have to make your own now. No flavor. Not appetizing.
Our waiter hustled us to order and finish, so supposedly the next diners could be seated. We reserved 6 weeks in advance. We will not go back!!
The space is nice and the ambiance was great. The meal was excellent as expected and our service was as well. The price matched the experience. They charge a 4% surcharge for service, which I think is fair.
The food and service at the Prado is always top notch. It's been over a year since we have been and last night was magical. Food, service, environment all terrific.
Had a horrible experience, wrong food was delivered and we had to wait roughly an hour and a half. Ended up taking the food to go. Also I asked the waiter for a water refill and in 1:45 that we were there never got a refill. This is unacceptable, I will not be returning here and sharing my bad experience with friends, family, and coworkers.
It was fabulously arranged for Mother's Day. The gnosh was amazing. Pleasant time had by all!
Fantastic Mother’s Day brunch. Beautiful setting and great food.
I would absolutely recommend the prado to anyone and everyone. However we would not recommend going on a holiday that has a prefixed menu. We did go on Mother’s Day and booked prior to knowing the menu. The eggs were horrible. Our server was awesome. The ambiance is wonderful. The food was not. Also we do not drink so only having the option of champagne included in the $40 per person isn’t fair. I then paid extra for a soda and lemonade.
Mother’s Day brunch. Many choices. Large portions. Always a good time.
