Morris, Lara, and family
This was my birthday dinner on 8/5/2020. We were seated outdoors on the front porch. Masks on until seated. We had the freshest salad I’ve had in a long time, with baby lettuce (fave) and artichoke hearts. I had the pasta bolognese and my boyfriend had spaghetti with meatballs. They were delicious. (The tomato sauce was a bit high in acidity, which can be cut with a bit of sugar as it’s cooking.) The dessert was excellent! (Cake) I’ll be back to this family owned restaurant again soon!
We just discovered this Italian restaurant. We had spaghetti with house made tomato sauce and meatballs and spaghetti carbonara with smoked guanciale. The appetizer with burrata, beets and balsamic vinegar was special. We had not tasted burata that was so delicious. We shared a dessert of panna cotta toped with a little olive oil and italian orange marmalade. Overall, a wonderful dining experience in a quiet location.
Dined during covid. Perfectly executed and appreciated. Top notch Italian fare. Came back later in the week for takeout.
This restaurant’s food is excellent. Even take out is almost just as good during this coronavirus shutdown.
Two thumbs way up. My kids enjoyed the delicious pasta with meatballs and the spaghetti with clams is excellent.
Two thumbs way up!
Delicious and great service!
Wonderful food beautifully presented. Staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return!
Excellent food all around. Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive.
Food was great tasting. Not very busy for a Friday night. Waitress overcharged my credit card. Hopefully it will be cleared up when final bill arrives.
Great salad options, enjoyed live music and service. Pantry pasta was just okay.
Amazing food locally sourced served by a very good waitress in a modest but lovely restaurant. We had a freshly made burrata with honey, carmelized ginger and pecans, and pear served with crostini that was absolutely amazing. It could be either a shared appetizer or even a dessert. We shared a large beet salad and a chicken ravioli that were equally good. There was live music which was quite nice. This restaurant is a real find and I would be a regular if we lived locally. We ate there twice and both times were wonderful! Their wines and beer selections were also quite good. The chef is very inventive and clearly uses only the very best ingredients. Highly recommended
I have had a consistently good experience every time
My wife and I dined at the Pour House for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The wine selection was very good. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful environment.
Food and service and live music was great!
This place is a hidden gem in Kapalua. Live music tonight. A wonderful duo, instrumental only. Service by Annalise was superior to many of the fancier restaurants we have gone to. We started with the shrimp cocktail and caprese salad. Main course of lamb chops which was nicely seasoned and I had one of the ravioli specials. Finished with the chocolate mousse cake. A truly delightful evening without all the noise at the "trendier" restaurants.
Everyone that works at the Pour House made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was great, prices were fair for the area and everyone is so nice!
Could improve menu with more variety, especially appetizers. Pasta dishes heavy. Maybe a veal dish.
Had a great meal and the music was really good. Or first time there , but defiantly not our last.
Spaghetti and clams were wonderful and the Burrata and honey was a lovely appetizer. No challenges with the service as everything came out quite quickly.
Over priced drinks, overpriced food based on portions although delicious. Disappointed that online menu was different from what they were offering. Overall great ambience
My daughter and I have gone twice and we love it! It is on the pricey side but the food is EXCELLENT!
Love the Pour House. Food is always fresh and delicious. The buratta dishes are outstanding especially the buratta dish with the melon and prosciutto. I especially love the anti pasta salad. The ingredients are finely chopped so that each bite you get a mouthful of lettuce, cheese, garbanzo, olive, prosciutto, sopresetta etc... The portions are very generous. The Lamb chops super tasty with a side of roasted beets that my husband said were delicious and he does not normally eat beets!!! The best part of The Pour House however are the owners Morris and Lara. They are warm and welcoming each and every time we visit. Casual dining in Kapalua at his best. Highly recommend.
Our server was very sweet and attentive. The Burrata special (marinara (let the meal speak for itself and have the servers add cheese if desired) . The decor was a bit drab and could use some color on the walls and colorful fabric on seating. A serious cleaning is needed of the lovely chandeliers that are covered with dust. The wine list could be improved throughout and also include after dinner by the glass dessert wines seeing it does claim itself as a “wine bar”.
The restaurant was practically empty at prime dining time and in an area where other surrounding restaurants are completely booked. Other than a mediocre wine list and dreary ambiance, the food is very good so I’m struggling to understand why? Nonetheless, I will return!
Plain Italian food prepared well - both had pantry pasta and shared burraya with honey and peat app. Musician was also very good
Our server was delightful and the lamb chops were Devine!!
Just ate here the second time in a week. Absolutely delightful. The owner is lovely and sat us and chatted for a bit. The food is exquisite yet reasonably priced. My husband had the spicy seafood pasta (same as what he had last week!) while I changed things up and had the special Italian sausage with Parmesan and mascarpone. We also had the burrata (an amazing cheese kind of like mozzarella but WAY better) with artichokes and kalamata olives and grape tomatoes with balsamic glaze for appy. Also splurged for the blood orange creme brulee-like dessert. All dishes were delectable. There was live music which was perfect - not too loud - and really added to the ambience. We have eaten at many, many restaurants in Maui over lots of years and this is seriously one of (maybe THE) best! Can’t wait to return!
We had a really fabulous meal, food was great staff and owners are great, just a little on the pricey side
Don’t order mixed drinks at this place - Stick to wine.
Our server was great but the over all hostessing and feel of disorganization was evident-
The Sea Food Pasta was great! The Chimichurri Rib Eye was ok.. Live music was perfect and ambiance was comfortable.
This place has the potential to be so much more....
While appetizers and salad were a nice start everything else was a disappointment.
Lots this little gem. It’s quiet, quaint and lovely. Food was great as well as the service.
Great food good portions nice selection
What a find! A wonderful selection of authentic Italian food including local seafood. There was 4 of us and each of us had a fabulous meal. Very reasonable prices too. Will definitely return!
Enjoyed our dinner at the Pour House - we shared a wonderful beet salad, then each had meatballs, one with and one without pasta. Very tasty and filling. Service and ambiance was great. Somewhat limited menu but good for a quick meal! Prices a little on the high side, but that’s everywhere in Maui.
Decent food, a bit pricy, but not surprising for the area.
Loved the food! Live music was too loud especially for there only to be 4 tables full inside though
Service and ambience was excellent!
Food was amazing!
We will definitely go back!
Burrata was outstanding
Great food, drinks and they had entertainment!
The appetizer Burrata with crostini, pears and honey was delicious, but the anti pasta salad was a bit of a disappointment and I would have liked 2 or 3 more meatballs in the Pantry Pasta. Our waitress was very good, but she quickly got too many tables (and her tables were very far apart), and we had a hard time getting her attention. I was impressed with the decor and the overall ambience, but I don’t know if we’ll go back, unless we have friends who want to try it.
Buratta with pears was the best! Also loved the panna cotta desert.
